  • I’m B12 deficient, only starting to take care of it now. But my hands and feet are freezing cold all the time, lately I’ve been gasping for air, I have noticed maybe a slight yellow tint in my skin and eyes. As well as TERRIBLE digestive problems. I think I had a SIBO infection which was leeching my B12. Being treated for both now and I’m starting to feel good again

    • I use methylated folate combined with sublingual B12. My family has the MTHFR gene mutation which has to do with methylation dysfunction. My mother has total neuropathy of the extremities. So important to eat your green leafies and cut out all processed foods. I also take protolytic enzymes to keep my blood from being too sticky. This MTHFR mutation is present in at least 30 percent of white Americans of European descent. My brother's daughter is homozygous which means both my brother and his wife are carriers. We don’t break down and absorb vitamins normally. Also chronically low in vitamin D. Stay healthy.

    • You need a GI dr, because liver or gallbladder issues can cause some of this lose issues. But The cold feet & hands could be thyroid problems, or even cardiac or lung issues. Either way, you need a dr who will check it all.

  • There are 2 types of anemia. Just to clarify: Nutritional anemiasPernicious anemia: Pernicious anemia, one of the causes of vitamin B12 deficiency, is an autoimmune condition that prevents your body from absorbing vitamin B12. Iron-deficiency anemia: As its name implies, iron-deficiency anemia happens when your body doesn't have enough iron to make hemoglobin.

  • Would you use the term "oldie" in person to an older patient? With terms like this or calling someone unrelated a "grandma" or "grandpa" you narrow their personhood.

  • B12 deficiency is called pernicious anemia and is most commonly seen in people consuming vegan diets. It is not called anemia and it does not have to do with heme iron that transfers oxygen. B12 deficiency results in reduced red blood cells as it has a key role in producing them.

  • This happens to young people as well.. Also many people with vegetarian diets etc have this deficiency as their source of protein is extra limited.. So not oldies.. Don't disrespect elders just because you are young today.. One day you will get old too and don't know what slang term the young generation of the future will use to address you.. And lastly you need to check what deficiency you have as you look tired lack lustre with sunken eyes and by the way you can start with most important supplement of Vitamin Humbleness and Vitamin Respect.. Btw no hate and I'm younger than you.. so hote hate comments please..
