- This is my one and only (1/1) Pteranodon Chandelier.
- I spent nearly three months designing and crafting this beauty in Hungary, 2023, using upholstery foam on a steel base.
- Dimensions: 40 x 200 x 105 cm / 16 x 79 x 41 in.
- The chandelier features 4 light bulb sockets (E27), and a Tapo L930 LED strip is integrated into the back which you can control with your smartphone and choose any color you like.
- The Pteranodon Chandelier can be used with any type of light bulb that does not generate excessive heat.
I used the Anycubic Photon Mono M5s to 3D print these little dinosaurs, and I exclusively use Anycubic products for all of my 3D printing projects. Thank you so much, Anycubic!

  • You have been missed Big Time David by your Fans! The amount of work, time, effort, patience and money spent on supplies when not readily found lying around does not go un-noticed! What is really cool is realizing how you come up with ALL of your ideas and can instantly see them in your head completed. Tedious work to be sure but you always have those thumbs up moments and smiles for us fans as you proceed through your creation. This Chandelier really deserves to be A One Of A Kind Project too. My boys have let me know from time to time in this past year that they hope you and your crew are okay! I tell them to just keep David and his Family in Prayers and we will see his smile again soon!   • The end result is pretty good! The camerawork and lighting really shows off all the details. Kinda odd that the length is primarily given in feet if the original size is actually 2 m though.

    • I am glad you like it thank you :) However I am a bit confused. Isnt 7 feet and 2m are almost the same? I added the size in feet because most people use feet on youtube and in the US this is the unit of measure. Or did i do something wrong?

    • @@Mokso They are very similar, but I just meant that it feels odd to have the conversion be the main unit instead of the original, though that doesn't mean it's "wrong" per se, just something I noticed, lol. There is something which does bother me a little, though. I understand that you want to make sure to show the unit that most people in the USA will recognize easier, but this shouldn't mean excluding the international unit (from what I remember, meters are only in the description and not in the spoken video). As a US American myself, I don't think we are the only audience that should be considered, even if we're larger. I.e., I think both units should be mentioned.

    • I really appreciate your comment and thank you so much for it. Honestly I was in trouble deciding whether I should use/say/write meters or feet. Just like deciding whether I should call the dinosaur Pteranodon or Pterodactyl. Because I know for some people this is a Pteranodon, but for some people it is a Pterodactyl :D But how do you know that Originally I measured everything in meters? You know my english is my weak point and I spend almost 2 hours every day learning english. I try really hard to speak the way that everybody understands it.

    • @@Mokso And thank _you_ for taking my comment into consideration. I didn't realize you were on the fence about which units to use, so I'm glad I decided to comment to give another perspective. I apologize for the somewhat-long response, and I understand if you don't want to or have the time to read this, as you are a very busy person. Just know that the rest of this comment is mostly answering your question about why I think the design was originally in meters, and then supporting your dedication to learning English. Well I don't know for sure of course, but it seemed like it was likely to have originally been in meters for a couple reasons : 1: The biggest hint to me is that all of the meter dimensions are clean/neat, while most of the imperial ones look more random, like they were converted from the meters instead of the other way around ; for example, it would be odd for someone to choose 79 inches instead of 80 (clean number of inches), 78 (rounder than 79 and equals 7.5 ft.), or 84 in. (exactly 7 ft.), and it would be an interesting coincidence to choose weird inches which then happen to convert back into neat and tidy meter values. 2: A smaller supporting bit is your accent and channel name, which indicated that you're foreign, perhaps from a European country, which increases the likelyhood that you'd use meters. Looking more at your channel, you say that you're a hungarian slovakian, so it seems to me that you'd be more familiar and comfortable with metric. I admire the hard work and dedication you put into what you do, and learning English is no exception, especially since you're balancing it with everything else. I imagine it can be a hard language to learn, and I want to make sure it's clear that I'm not trying to discourage you from becoming more proficient at communicating with native English speakers. I simply believe it should be common practice in American English videos to provide both systems, as they're both official systems of the USA and people from other countries who use English are also on the internet and shouldn't be left out; for example, Australia is just as metric as any European country.

  • I will say that this thing has much better wings than the ones I made for my dragon costume a few Halloweens ago, (Which I'm still improving and adding to now, making a fully fleshed-out character out of it) which I made in my high school's art therapy room. Basically, I used some braided wire (which is why they're so floppy, I should've used thicker solid wire) to make the frame, laid it between 4 layers of plastic wrap, (2 beneath, 2 above) and used a heat gun to fuse them all together. I then trimmed the excess plastic wrap, painted them with red latex paint, covered the "bone structure" with black felt, and stuffed the big ring of wire in between the actual wings into a backpack, which I then held in place with zip ties. I finished it up by covering the back of the backpack in that same black felt, and I had my really crappy wings.

    • I cant tell you. But a LOT :D Maybe around 700 hours of work. 2 months full time 6 days a week 15 hours a day. I lost almost 20 pounds while I worked on it.
