Then again at 1:49:22 he stopped Serra at the library and asked her to go to the party with him. Again she in, her low voice, told him she was not interested and had to study. Then despite all her rejections and telling him to leave her alone, he sent flowers and a dress to her house as if she wanted to go to the party with him and had no dress. This time she gave him the dress back and told him off yelling. Burak saw his friend watching kissed her by force and after all this she slapped him which he really deserved it.

There is something psycological there. She always had a parent role for that woman. The mother loced her son and neglected her. After his suicide she totally neglected her daughter and became demanding totally ignoring the fact that this young girl had to handle work and school. Remember when she went to pick her mother from the police station, the mother wanted a taxi? That says it all.

Or they actually like that type of behaviour. I honestly do not know which is worse. I am hoping though (the chances of this being the case is quite slim) it is because they never experienced this and don't know how bad this experience actually is. She likes being with young men it seems. She took advantage of his vulnerabilities and used him for sex. He is broken again and has nowhere to go, so he shows up at her door because she makes him feel good and put a bandaid on his wounds. Really a sad story. Women and men like this belong to jail.

You and I have been in families that have protected us. These very real issues are existing in every country, every society every school every place of worship. As corrupted people live among us in many different shape and forms. Survivors of trauma and childhood sexual abuse usually are quiet and they do not report. From the small number who get the courage to speak up very few succeed to get justification for what had happened to them. These issues are very real but this is not the place to discuss in detail. Sexual abuse of children is very common and is nothing new. Only in recent years survivors are finding courage and voice to share their experiences with others and counsellors. Our job is to believe and give them support as and if they need it and ask for it. It is disrespectful to say "That was in the past, for get it and get on with your life" . It is cruel and damaging not to believe them or to silence them. If we do, we add to their pain. For now it is enough to say that when children go through that, even if they hide it in a compartment in their brain in order to survive, they are still affected and act on it on a subconscious level. Their whole lives get affected their relationships get messed up. If they are very young they may put that horrible experience in a part of their brain and forget about it to survive (but this is always with them). Sometimes in their adulthood some thing , a smell, a word, a place a person may trigger them and their memory comes back and they get flashbacks. They feel as if they are there and it is happening to them again. I have seen it happen many times. As women in this society, we are usually protected and many of us do not even know it happens, Here Selim was old enough to remember and we saw that his boundaries are messed up with the second violation of boundaries by his mother's friend , Idil. Everyone was shocked to see him at that women's door but what he went there for was not love or making love it was hate. and retaliation and punishment of his father. Yes he is an adult but his soul has been messed up with. That is why he is so thirsty for hearing the words "I love you" from Serra. He has been deprived of love . You ask why he is going to Serra? That is your answer. Because that is the only time in his life he felt love was with Serra. Serra has not been sexually abused but she was traumatized as a child and she also needs to heal her soul. Adults but both with childhood traumas.

Poor girl is carrying a huge load on her shoulders. AT a young age she did not have a chance to be a kid and she had to grow up in one day and become a parent to her mother. She is an A student and got a scholarship but still she is responsible to pay the bills. Her mother does not bother to get a job and earn some money to help with the bills. So of course she will be serious as when she is at school she still calls to check up on her mother. She still has to go to the police station to pick up her mother and outside police station, what did her mom say? she wanted to go home by taxi. So this young girl is not serious because she is at school she is serious because she had to become like a middle age parent and had no time to be happy and have some fun in her life.

Saying that, I know that depression is a mental illness and we cant judge. What they did wrong in this scenario is that they showed she got better when her friend took her out and when she started going out with her lost love. It would have been better if she went to therapy and got better.

The casting between Serra and her Mum is so good, they do actually look like Mother and daughter! Very well cast! So funny how Burak's name comes up as 'Beetroot' 🤣😂 Obviously doesn't translate properly!! I don't like the way he's after Serra, following her around at University, then coming to her house, trying to be her friend, when it's quite obvious she isn't interested!!! Okay if it turns out that Serra and Selim are siblings, i'm going to be so pissed!! Burak is serious eye candy and I can't seem to decide who i'd pick between him and Selim. That being said, this is the most gorgeous cast i've ever seen in any drama; everyone is breathtaking and beautiful.
My suggestion, for sure pick Selim as he is a decent man. Yes both actors are good looking but a man without personality is garbage. So far Burak is a staker and has sexually assaulted Serra. No woman wants a man like that.

Yes… Burak suffered fr a bruised ego at Serra’s rejection😁he was so sure of his charms n seeing Serra’s ‘impoverished’ home he thought buying her flowers n dresses will make Serra melt… n the way he was so cock n bull sure of himself even boasted to Selim on how good his ‘charming self’ at making Serra fall at his feet was… n the tight slap on his face in front of all and soundry made him really lose face… later after discovering what a gem Serra was, could see in his eyes a certein sadness at love lost… I believe he fell in love with Serra… but love cant be forced.. it has to grow on its own freewill like Selim n Serra… Selim never was imposing, didnt try to win Serra it all came naturally with two people thrown in together by circumstances, find common grounds altho fr diverse backgrounds to learn to like n love… only thing missing for me as a Muslim.. is the element of spirituality… a drama is a tool to infused good morality with a clear direction… altho Turkey is a secular country dramas viewed by home audiance should also educate.. bring subtly the good teachings of our Prophet Pbuh…. I really don’t like Burak… he keeps imposing himself in Serra’s life and trying to make it seem like she has ‘secrets’ about her life and he’ll keep them so it stays just between them. I’m sick of him because he’s blackmailing her and using reverse psychology 😡 yes he’s hot / attractive and all but that doesn’t excuse his behavior. Also you can see how much it irritates Selim when Burak and Biricick talks as if he and Serra have something 🥺🥺 literally just waiting for Serra and Selim to release their pent up feelings towards each other. Atp there’s so much angst. Also omg Barbaros is so annoying..l I hate that he acts like he has to be Serra’s watch dog or like he has some claim over her because she lives in his neighborhood. He’s so stalkerish actually no - he is a stalker. and for what?

I'm so with Serra and the way she is handling Burak, because he is creeping me out. The boy got major stalking tendencies going on, with a side order of delusion. He acts like Serra owes him something just because he is obsessing over her. She has not once given him a reason to think in any universe that she is remotely interested in him. And he can clearly see what is going on between her and Selim, even though they aren't acknowledging it yet. Selim is so damn fine and he and Serra look so good together.
You are right on point here. She said it he has a mean part that he is hiding. He also proved that he is classist and thinks that rich people deserve respect regardless of what they do when he said to her "don't treat me like one of the guys in your neighbourhood" OH so because he is rich (corrections just because he is born to a rich couple) he thinks he deserves a better treatment regardless of what he does. I am so glad they put a guy from her neighborhood who was stalking Serra at the beginning but despite him being a criminal he still stopped when he realized she was not in to him and loved another man.

Yes it is burak's fault that despite Serra's repeated denial he kept approaching her but bircik played a big role in this, she constantly instigated and pushed burak to go after her and do this madness , and even brought Selim's name into this to add more fuel to the fire, and then behaves as if all this was Serra's fault, for God sake serra dint even like him, she doesn't consider him as a friend even and he kissed her infront of everyone without her permission or consent!!
This is a great series to watch, I'm really in love with it, i love d combination of selim n serra, the chemistry is too much there.... all the way from south Africa please keep on doing more beautiful series

He is a bully as we see he eat of people's fear and is a free loader and runs the thiefs when it is safe for him. He is attracted to Serra but later when he realized that Serra loves Selim he backed off and supported Selim. He is not a good man but he has lines that he won't cross so he is more reliable than Burak who has Obsessive Love Disorder.

Really like this drama. Just don't understand with millions of views, why it was cut short with lots of the story line left hanging. It's still worth watching, the chemistry between the Serra and Selim is sizzling. Acting is good overall for everyone.
