Here after Sean beat Izzy. Props to Sean for an amazing performance. What crossed my mind is what Dan said some time ago. He said that while Izzy is levels above the rest as a striker, he's a one dimensional fighter. Eventually, other fighters will catch up with his striking and that's what we saw tonight. Crazy how fast the game evolves.
I would enjoy very much seeing Dan's reactions during the fight. Strickland schooled ppl on the power of a jab and a low kick, lol. Love the content.

Met Dan and His Girlfriend as Canary Wharf, i was so geeked out they are so down to earth. They gave me time and chatted and took pics with me, My God continue to bless them both..

Veronica, you said what I’ve been thinking for a while about the Anderson/Weidman comparison. I thought that Du Plessis might have been Izzy’s Weidman before the Strickland fight was announced because in the same sense they are both levels below Izzy in striking and fight iq. Silva got comfortable and was playing too much and got caught. I know Izzy is disciplined and will be focused but hope he doesn’t get bored and then get caught.
I think his loss to Alex might avoid any of this. Even though the striking level of the opponent is different .. the feeling of losing hurts enough and is fresh in his mind.

But that’s why I was saying it could be a moment like Anderson had. It only takes one bad sequence or good shot to finish it. I’ve seen DDP in trouble a lot throughout his career but what’s impressive is how he comes back to win. It’s mind boggling. He’ll either hit a ceiling when he fights Izzy or break through it and shock the world.

Hey Dan! The same exact archetype as Sean’s front to make it seem like he doesn’t care about anything is explored in depth in the short story “Barn Burning” by William Faulkner. Please Dan or anyone else who reads this comment do yourself a favor and read the story!! The father figure in the story reminds me of Sean Strickland and a lot of other men I’ve met in my life. It’s a great short read by a legendary Southern author
