3 weeks to boston 2023 and this advice is great. I live on mile 19- so much excitement every weekend and weekday!
Love this, guys! Didn't see this last year but just right for this year. Will you do an updated version for 2018?
This was great, thanks.
Great run. Years ago I was a part of it, finished, that's all I wanted to do. Have fun next month.
Priceless content, thank you very much. I'm gonna run my first Boston this year and this was very helpful to think about my race strategy.
Good luck at Boston, Walter! We'll be out there cheering :)
Awesome little talk guys. I just completed my first marathon last weekend, the hardest and the most hilly in my country i never even did a shorter race before(only trained for about a year aloooot). I got completely caught up with the crowd and top guys first 11km ,doing 10k PR at almost 40min ,then completely blew up and struggled hard with vert and the heat for the rest of the race yet i gritted to a 4.18h finish. One of the hardest but also gratifying things i did in my life! Will definitely do one again in the future , flatter one tho, ill sign for some half in between. Good luck to everyone training for their first! I also wanna thank your channel, got some stretch and strenght routines from you which i incorporated sucessfully in my training.
So great to hear! Thx for watching!!
Soaking up was definitely the operative phrase for 2018.
you need to walk in london too and also NY there is a lot of wait.
Nice background 😆
I thought I did everything right in Boston in terms of pacing, still the downhill at mile 15-16 totally killed my quads..
Sometimes those downhills will just get the best of you!
Actually, that is the one downhill on the course I love going down, the one right after BC is really steep, I had difficulty with that one, it is where my legs got beat up.
yep
Molly Siedel on track in the background 👍
Good information. 1st Boston next week.
we’re having a shakeout at marathon sports, cambridge on friday at 5:30pm, you should come!
@@TheRunExperience Would love to but don't arrive till Saturday. Please let me know if you will be doing anything on Saturday or Sunday!
can't wait to see if i have qualified for next year 2018!
Keep us posted!
That's 'rad'. First time I've heard rad in 20 years. Nice.
BAHSTON
I know people who ran marathons and no you are wrong. You only have to train for the 26.2, not 27.2 miles you mentioned. If u havent run before, I would keep your comments that are negative on the downlow. You marathoner NOT
Well, you don't actually un 27.2 but from where you gather before the run, ou do walk about a mile to the start, so it equals around 27.2. I know for a fact they have Both run Boston in the past.
Nicholas Smith You are so ignorant. He clearly said you have to walk a mile to get to the starting line then made the JOKE you actually need to train for for 27.2. Your such a simpleton with a loud mouth.
