NEW REVLON One-Step-Styler!
Revlon came out with the new one-step-styler. Is it new and impoved or just new without many impovements, since it is coming at a lower price point. Obviously we're going to put the new one-step-styler hair tool vs the original hair styling tool. There are a list of impovement we were looking for that we mentioned in the original video review, so let's see if Revlon actually made any changes to their original hair tool. Also, let me know if any of you have already tried this new hair tool and your thoughts on it.

  • I got mine yesterday on sale and tried right away! OMG.. how did I live without it?? I'm truly in love with it.. I had the option to chose from the old and the new "improved" one but I went for the old style and I'm so glad I did after watching this!

  • Hey lovely!!! I got the old version because of your video actually, and I'm very happy with it. Being my hair thick and kind of untamable, the old version helps me with it a lot, so I don't think I'll be getting the new one. Thanks again for your recommendation💞 kisses from México

  • I've had my original one for almost a year and I love it. I've figured out the best angles to hold it and dry my hair so the heat doesnt get to me, that and i sit in front of a fan as I dry my hair. I think the new one would be good for my mom as her hair is thinner than mine

    @NycLavoisier@NycLavoisier3 жыл бұрын
  • I completely disagree, I think the new one improved many things! Mine is way less hot then the original, the titanium plates leave it silkier, and the smaller barrel leaves and makes it easy to curl my ends and get my roots dryer easier. I have recommended everyone who had the old one to get this one!! So far, they’ve all agreed!

  • I saw the video where you review the Revlon against Drybar's version. I bought the original version of the Revlon about a month ago and I LOVE it. I have thick hair and it was getting complicated and taking too long drying my hair with a brush and normal hair dryer ugh! I use it on Low only and my hair comes out beautiful, soft, and so shiny! I don't have the problem of it pulling on my hair any differently than using a normal brush with blow dryer method.

  • I love the OG. I have been using it for almost 2 years! I always use it on low. Never have an issue with it burning my hair.

  • I love the OG. It does get hot but once you're use to it, it's not an issue. I also go over my hair once dried with the cool setting. Not sure if it makes a difference to do that but I like to do it. I think it's a great product if you don't have time to blow dry then straighten since it does an ok job at both at once. I did however have the issue that when I 1st bought the OG the boar bristles an plastic bristles bent in a lot places I assume from heat I may have set it down on the vanity while still on long enough to let down the top section of my hair. I'm not sure thats why they bent on that side, but other than that it still works fine & I still use it. I'm glad I bought it. I love your videos btw, I always check your info out before deciding on a purchase. I'd like to see some lower end product videos. I can't afford all the high end products lol. Thanks for you content!!

  • I have the OG and my hair is just a little shorter than yours and it's very thick and I loooove it. I'm truly obsessed! I save so much time between blow drying then straightening. I have the Mise En Scene serum and using these makes my hair look and feel soft, there's no frizz EVEN IN THE HEAT!! And gives SO much volume! Couldn't be happier

  • I am little surprised at the outcome. I bought one a few weeks ago and I love it. No issues with air flow and always run on medium. I also have the original and was so excited to see the smaller version. My hair is thin, fine, curly and shoulder length. So this smaller version is perfect for me. I used to mumble “I wish it was smaller” every time I used the old one! Oh and this one seems to be a little easier to clean. Love your reviews, thank you.

    • Do you still like the smaller one? I have a Bob, and my hair is fine and medium density, so I'm looking for something that isn't massive. If you were to purchase a smaller dryer, would it be the smaller Revlon one again, or different small one?

      @sigh_anna@sigh_anna3 жыл бұрын
    • @@sigh_anna I too wear a shoulder grazing bob. I absolutely would purchase this again. Prior to this smaller version I purchased a well rated John Freda round dryer and it can not compare. I think the oval shape of the Revlon brush keeps the hair from getting caught in the brush. Hope that makes sense. (Also could not go back to the larger version)

  • My OG one died after 15 months. As I was turning it the motor would cut out, then started making crackling noises. Up until that point, I loved it! I have thick 3b hair and it is so difficult to control after washing. The reason gave me a tool that I could use from wet to dry and finish my hair styling in half an hour. I will miss it, but don't want to pay £50 again for something that will only last just over a year ☹

  • Thank you for this post. I saw it a few months ago and finally bought one last week. While there are a few things I would change about the design and quality of manufacture, I was pleased with the performance of the dryer. I have thick hair that can take half an hour to dry with a gun style blow dryer. This brush dried my hair in less than ten minutes on the low heat setting! Woo Hoo!

  • I own the original which I love. My only complaint was the brush is too wide and I was unable to get a curl when drying my hair. I just purchased the newest model which has a smaller barrel. It makes such a difference in styling my hair. It has all the benefits of the original brush and I am able to make soft curles. I have no problem with the air flow with the new model. • Hey, I did hear that there was a smaller version of this. But you are the first one that I have seen review this. Thank you so much for your open and honest opinions which is very much appreciated. That doesn't seem good that this should be for sale just because of what you said about the air flow. With you saying that I wouldn't be buying this if it's not going to dry as it should. Thank you so much for reviewing this. I only purchased the original Revlon One Step Hairdryer and Volumiser a couple of months ago. Late starter in that I know and I did watch your review on that a while back and you make it look so easy. I still have to get the hang of it because my hair isn't as smooth as I would like it to be. What type of product do you use before you dry your hair with this? Love you ❤️ and thank you in advance if you are able to reply to this 😘.

  • I have very curly frizzy hair and I dry my har with the OG in about 15-20 minutes when it normally would take me about 40-50 minutes with a Regular blow dryer. Love it! I was thinking about the small one but no ma’am I’ll stick the OG

  • I bought one thinking it might simplify my blowout process but it left me with dry frizzy hair, tons of flyaways and you could tell the hair was overheated. I just practised around brushing with a blow dryer and the results are 10x better

  • I love both... I especially love the smaller size. I always use the low setting. I also blow dry most of the moisture out of my hair and then use the styler to finish off... still faster for me than traditional brush and blow dry.

  • I have the original dryer and it doesn’t do any of those bad things to my hair but I have tough hair and I use it on low. It is one of my favorite things. I bought it on your original recommendation. Would probably buy the Hot Tools dryer if this one breaks.

  • I have the original and I completely agree- high is way hot 🥵 That’s a bummer I don’t have airflow on the new one, it doesn’t seem like it’s very good, hopefully my original one will keep working.

  • I have the OG and the way I prevent the red ears is I blow dry up! It’s a bit of a workout in the arms lol but it doesn’t burn by ears and I get more volume!

  • I have the original and even on the lower setting my ears get burned. I never use the highest setting. I love the original, the hair pulling is not a big deal for me. Thanks for all your videos! 💕

  • I finally pulled the trigger on this the other day. I got the new version because I knew the old version would be most likely too bulky for me. I used it today for the first time and it took me forever to semi-dry my hair, on high setting. I do have very thick hair, but I did expect better results. I'm curious to find out if people use this tool after using a normal blow dryer and how long it takes them to dry.

  • I bought the older one, like everyone because of your video. I have fine hair and while I love it, I do have a problem of making it flyaway.

  • The titanium brush is only available at Costco limited edition you cannot buy it anywhere else.do however have a new and improved version of the original which I just bought and it's only because they don't stay on it that it's the new and improved version. I don't think they're selling any of the original Revlon one step anymore because I bought mine off of Walmart and it did not state that it was new and improved

  • Try not wearing jewelry- no earrings or necklace - whilst styling your hair . The metal in the earrings especially will get burning hot from heat styling. That might help with that burning ear problem that you are experiencing. Great video !!!

  • The one that I have by Revlon is a round brush and oh my gosh, YES it gets so hot and loud! I wear a glove that came with another tool to keep from burning my hand. I use it to protect my ears also. It comes with two sizes of removable brushes. Not sure if they still make it or not. It also has 3 settings. I finish off my hair on the medium setting because the high setting is just so hot. It IS my go to tool for my hair. I have tried the flat iron, the straightener that you and a friend tried and this is the best tool for me. Have a blessed day.

  • You just had me go check mine and compare! 😂 I actually like the smaller brush better. Mine seems to produce more air than the OG and the heat is mostly at the top and middle. But when I do my hair, I have no issues. Weird-maybe you go a defective one??? Take it easy-those postpartum hormones are no joke! 😬
