I'm curious as to why she sings most of the song in that raspy voice. I'm not familiar with her pre-Lana work nor do I know a lot about her history, so I wonder if that way of singing is in reference to her earlier days / reminiscent of how she sang back then? I'm reading many negative comments about this song, which surprises me, since I find it fascinating. The imaginery I perceive from White Dress is that for over 4 minutes she is looking at her past (as if it was a documentary perhaps). Then, when she sings the chorus at 4:25 with her usual singing voice (a delightful change not because the prior is bad, it's just a beautiful shift), we see her present self as she reflects on who she was and the context she was in. I've listened to Lana since BTD but it's her last two albums that have made me consider her art very highly, especially NFR which is an absolute masterpiece. I believe she's now at a point where she's earned the right to do and experiment with her music in whatever way she wants and it always has her own stamp in it. Few artists can really do that and do it well (Björk immediately comes to mind).

I find it a little bit too much and exaggerated specially when she goes in the high notes. And god knows I love her high notes but here I really don’t know what to think about it. I like the emotions of it but not how it renders i think... and you what’s your point of view ? The only song of the new album I found really out of this world is Dark But Just A Game. But omg her vocals are not well produced, there is a cut on the word « scene » at 1:18 on this song, there are glitches of autotune in Dark But Just a Game at 2:22, such a shame she is still working with Jack, I don’t find this collaboration interesting. This two latest records disappointed me compared to other ones, and it’s not the fault of Lana. The vibes are too chill to suit her hypnotic voice well from my point of view. And I don’t talk about abusive autotune in Tulsa Jesus Freak that destroys her beautiful voice from my opinion. Anyway, I like the fact she experiments new voices textures, new ways of singing, new atmospheres, but I have to admit I am frustrated. She used to give us really better things in the past according to my personal taste. There was something happening in the songs she did that talked to me I don’t really find it anymore in most of the new ones,... and I feel a little bit sad about it

@@tiffanytaylor7410 i agree I don’t feel it’s sad. But personally didn’t feel the same as you for the two first songs released of COVTCC. For example my favourite songs are Cherry, Burning Desire, Heroin, Pretty When You Cry, Freak, Shades of Cool, West Coast, High By The Beach, Summer Bummer, and so many others that are far away from the sound made by Jack Antonoff. Just heard this song for the first time today, just now. I have no clue what emotion I'm feeling, but it's... It's nice. I'll definitely have to listen to this a few more times to understand it. I don't know much about Lana Del Rey and haven't heard her songs in anything but megamixes, but this sounds nice. Definitely different from what I remember hearing in the megamixes, but it's a pleasant surprise.
her music is good if you’re looking for that specific emotion of melancholy and nostalgia
This made me cry so fucking hard
i was NOT READY I WASN'T READY.
Por fin salió su álbum😭 gracias por subir la letra te quedo muy bonito el vídeo✨💞
todavía no ha salido en algunos países, dejen de escucharlo filtrado
I can’t stop crying 😭
Wow. I really Fucking Love It. And I dont feel guilty at all for listening a few hours before the release as Lana has kept us waiting for what seems like an eternity. Anyway I think this is just awesome. Dont know why everyone feels differently.
god bless lana del rey.
When you work at a small town diner so you listen to this to hype yourself up before your shift:
“Down at the men in music business conference” Here she kinda sounds like janis joplin
Why??? Janis had such a powerfull voice😍. Lana has a weak voice🙈
What the actual fuck kid, not even close lol
@@mermaidmotel3672 kid? Do you even know me son?
Mermaid Motel funny taht you’re saying that while you’ve got a Lana song title as you’re username
i feel so guilty for listening helppp
We’re definitely going to hell
most definitely
There's nothing to be guilty about, some people received their LPs at home yesterday, it's as if we're one of them.
it’s been released
🤣
It feels like little butterflies are fluttering around in my head. Maybe thats just the weed, but damn this song hits me
There's just so much tenderness and admiration for her younger self. Really touches my heart
We never know what life brings.
My favorite with Chemtrails Over The Country Club 🖤🌹
stop bc i love this song a lot
Lana just decided she was going to make these lyrics happen no matter what, huh?
U can reupload it when the album ist out
I can’t stop listening to this how do I stop my voice is almost gone
I’m in love omg 😍😭
Jeg har alltid likt å eksperimentere.slik som Bjørk.Og 🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻. Bjørn
*Sadly starts to roller skate* 🛼
Janis Joplin vibes. loved it.
okay I kind of hated this song at first but its REALLY grown on me... now I'm seeking it out, lol
She is a angel coming from heaven with a blessed voice ,just did she forgot her wings at heaven?🤔
as if Low decided to write music for Lana Del Rey, amazing
A tus ordenes 🛐
Lana didn't change her style. It vibes like her first single "Video Games" IMHO.
Well you know like so LIKE😊 awesome work goodday✨ 😮
my throat hurts so much when i try to sing this as she does
i feel guilty for listening to this early but i had to
How am i here it’s not even released yet😭
She sounds so good and I sound out of breath....
Gente muito sad socorro
How did you get hold of this?
My god👏👏👏👏👏👊
What dose “Down at the men at the music business conference". mean?
Now i could be wrong but She's stated before that she slept with men in the music business, probably with the idea of getting a record deal out of it. ( but that didn't get her anywhere)
I accidentally recorded myself singing it and I sounded like a choking horse, I apologize for ruining the song 💀
LMAO CHOKING HORSE NOO
Summer summer’s almost gone😞
hi which app did you use
I love you love woman😍
she went full mariah carey on this one huh

Бля это шедевр
This song makes wanna buy a white dress so bad
türkçe çevirisini kanalımda bulabilirsinizz🥳🎶
I think I was more thrown by the idea this was going to be her “saddest song yet” 🤔
To me it’s still her saddest. This is probably the most explicitly personal she’s been on a song. She’s being retrospective and wishing she was in the simpler times before the fame. It’s really sad but beautiful
@@viviandarkbloom4248 I don't think it's sad
It depends on your personal point of view, I find this song sad but maybe you don't
Only time my raspy voice came in handy
DOwn with the mEn in the BUSIENESS CONFERENCE
Arent these all covers?
There was something happening in the songs she did that talked to me I don’t really find it anymore in most of the new ones,... and I feel a little bit sad about it
I had to rewind on that cut 1:18
@@sweetfridaydreaming i don’t know what the **** happened in production
White dress is honestly gonna have to grow on me but im sure it will. I just know i loved chemtrails right away and let me love you like a woman right away as well but this song is gonna probably have to grow on me.
I was actually expecting something completely different from this song and i read somewhere that this song was gonna be the saddest song on the record but its not sad and it doesn't make me feel sad like her previous songs like the blackest day
@@tiffanytaylor7410 i agree I don’t feel it’s sad. So I don’t find myself in this kind of chill mood of NFR and COTCC, I don’t know if you get what I mean Anyway if you love it as it is I am happy for you 😃
is it for real her?
yep! i got my vinyl a day early and it sounds like this
Yep it is the real official song
What about copyright? This might getting strike copyright
2:27
what does she mean by made her feel like a god?
I guess she realised tha she could sing like a cat
Maybe it means that back then she felt like she had control of her own life and destiny, like the world was hers

DOWNONTHEMENATTHEMUSICBUSINESSCONFRENCE
didn't like the first part of the song, once i got to the last part i liked it. now its on replay
Sometimes it happens the same to me. Specially with The Blackest Day 😂 the first part is too boring for me😂 I usually go straight to the chorus and last verses 🙈🔥 they have more power! 💖
She couldn’t just say “at the conference MIB?” It would’ve flowed so much better 😫
she only says it that way because it was such a scene
She says “down at the mini music business conference” lol
