going out of a stage theater, after seeing "sleeping beauty" ballet, many people of all ages said "how come some pieces of music sound so familiar and not the others? i said "because they were turned into disney songs, try to remember" and they all remembered I went further "same goes for the instrumental music; the mysterious music of puss in boots, one of the mariage guests at the end, doesn t it ring a bell to you?" the music is used when aurora is hypnotized by maleficent in the animated version what was just mysterious and feline became truly terrifying harder for them to remember but they did eventually original music or old music , any music used by disney stays with you forever when it doesn t, it s an accident (disney is only PRACTICALLY perfect) and a forgotten music often makes a forgotten movie (or disneyland ride)

I saw the movie right before I had to go to work, i'm a server at a retirement home, and the whole night I was humming this. Several people noticed I was very happy and I got to tell them how amazing Mary Poppins Returns is!!

I get chills when hearing that "pirate" line. The message behind it is SO powerful. "They don't grow up and don't grow old". Poppins is right. Pirates were perhaps amongst the only ones in the world who stayed in pursuit of their freedom and dreams, their entire lives long. Always in search of treasure and buried gold. No matter the obstacles or their age

My favourite is "The cover is not the book", as it brings out the reader in me, and makes me hope that kids "listen to what we've said and opened a book tonight in bed." However, I really liked "A Conversation" and "Nowhere to go but up." Both drew me to tears for different reasons. Overall, a beautiful film that I was glad did justice to my childhood. It does help that the songwriters and the director, Rob Marshall, are both Mary Poppins fanatics.

No one can replace Julie Andrews but Emily Blunt did a pretty good job. Essay length edit: Hi! So Im here again, and I would like to clear some things up. I did not intend to undermine (is that the right word) Emily Blunts performance. She's a wonderful actress. I'm not saying that her not being Julie Andrews is a let down. I'm just sitting in my nastalga pool remembering how great she is. Emily Blunt was great. Lin's part was great. Dick Van Dyke's camio was beautiful. The only part of this movie that's disappointing is that Julie Andrews wasn't it in at all but it's still a great movie without her! I love this movie, it hits me in those spots that only Disney can. I wouldn't even think to say that I'm a better actress then Emily Blunt. I can't act, just no good at it. But do not take my words in a way I didn't mean. I meant that they are equally good. Sorry that "pretty good" isn't a good enough compliment for you. Thank you and good night.

Nobody could replace the great Julie Andrews. Nothing bad was said about Emily Blunt's portrayal. I too think she did a pretty fantastic job at it. And Lin's portrayal of Jack was amazing too. So stop being such a downer about a compliment ffs.

See, the thing I think makes this problem is that people are constantly comparing Emily's performance to Julie Andrews. Emily based her performance more off the books, so naturally the performance will be a bit different. Plus, they're different people acting in different plot lines which will also make the performance different. The intention of the movie wasn't to have anyone replace anyone. Emily made her own performance her own. People keep saying it's not like the original, but it isn't supposed to be.

What really sold me on this number was the to-camera stage whisper of "Off we go!" with that joyful smile. She plays stern, but she has a joy about her all the same. I loved it.

Finally, the last line "Can you imagine that?" should have been sung without a breath before the last word. Legato, smoothly, through the entire line. If you breath sufficiently before the phrase, you can sing it through to the end.

Okay no joke, but my sister asked me if she could borrow my charger, and I said no. After she asked multiple times, this song just popped in my head and I made my own version of it, hehe. I can't wait until Mary Poppins Returns comes out on DVD. I've seen it in theatres once and really want to again but it's doubtful that I can after seeing Bohemian Rhapsody in theatres five times, but I'm willing to wait.

My favourite is "The cover is not the book", as it brings out the reader in me, and makes me hope that kids "listen to what we've said and opened a book tonight in bed." However, I really liked "A Conversation" and "Nowhere to go but up." Both drew me to tears for different reasons. Overall, a beautiful film that I was glad did justice to my childhood. It does help that the songwriters and the director, Rob Marshall, are both Mary Poppins fanatics.

No one can replace Julie Andrews but Emily Blunt did a pretty good job. Essay length edit: Hi! So Im here again, and I would like to clear some things up. I did not intend to undermine (is that the right word) Emily Blunts performance. She's a wonderful actress. I'm not saying that her not being Julie Andrews is a let down. I'm just sitting in my nastalga pool remembering how great she is. Emily Blunt was great. Lin's part was great. Dick Van Dyke's camio was beautiful. The only part of this movie that's disappointing is that Julie Andrews wasn't it in at all but it's still a great movie without her! I love this movie, it hits me in those spots that only Disney can. I wouldn't even think to say that I'm a better actress then Emily Blunt. I can't act, just no good at it. But do not take my words in a way I didn't mean. I meant that they are equally good. Sorry that "pretty good" isn't a good enough compliment for you. Thank you and good night.

Nobody could replace the great Julie Andrews. Nothing bad was said about Emily Blunt's portrayal. I too think she did a pretty fantastic job at it. And Lin's portrayal of Jack was amazing too. So stop being such a downer about a compliment ffs.
See, the thing I think makes this problem is that people are constantly comparing Emily's performance to Julie Andrews. Emily based her performance more off the books, so naturally the performance will be a bit different. Plus, they're different people acting in different plot lines which will also make the performance different. The intention of the movie wasn't to have anyone replace anyone. Emily made her own performance her own. People keep saying it's not like the original, but it isn't supposed to be.
