Good stuff
@@cvrpovExcellent bit of work
@@cvrpovdon’t we need clear coat after the solvent paint? I’m slightly confused how you achieve the shine and protection without clearcoat. Look forward to your response thanks
@@seemaabit’s all about depth, those scratches might have mostly scratched the clear coat. Scratches to the uninitiated are deceiving as they’re always white regardless of whether the scratched has reached the paint. In a lot of cases you’re simply sanding and polishing the clear coat. But to answer your question you can do as seen in the video and then use a spray can clear coat on top, then polish if you’d like. I’d likely apply clear coat to the entire wing mirror casing or panel in that case for the best finish. As you’ll see from his videos, it’s just not always necessary for a good enough repair.
As a detailer getting into paint chip correction...you sir get a sub. Fantastic work!
Man, everything you touch turns to BRILLIANCE!
Haha appreciate the comment
That turned out better than I expected
i can't believe this man. mind blown. ive learned so much from your channel. im even thinking i could make a small home business outta this . . . . . .
Alot of people have done yes
I love the way you make things look sooooo easy. Great job.

Perfect, i was looking for a way to fix some spots on my car. So much great info on your channel, thanks! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching
I've been following and practicing these techniques at my work, and they work brilliantly, best channel for my business👍
Well done and thank you for your honesty and easy to follow instructions.
Just found your channel and I'm so glad I did. I messed up my bumper by grabbing and wet sanding with 400 grit sandpaper 😢 I have a lot of scratches as you can imagine but nothing deep where my fingernail catches like you showed in this video just all cosmetic scratches. I'm gonna try to use the compound as you did in this video and hope it works haha. Thanks again for your awesome video. Fingers crossed!
That looks excellent. A really helpful video. Will be trying that on my bumper scratches.
Didn't expect that at all. Nice job sir, I will be trying this method 👍🏼
Great, thanks
Just discovered your excellent videos. Love the way you explain things, with great tips and make it seem that anyone can - with care and patience - have a go. I'm going to tackle some large stone chips on my bonnet and, thanks to you, I'm confident of a good finish. Wish me luck! 😂🤞
@@johnzenkin1344 I haven't actually started it yet as we're moving house and I've been too busy, plus the weather has been so poor I'm waiting for a bit of warmth as I'll just have to put the front of the car inside the garage door. I'll certainly report back and am still confident of an excellent result!
Magical. It's the skill you have. Not to go too deep. Just right, clear coat only. Most of us try this and go too far, through the clear coat.
Thanks bud
@@cvrpov can you repair something when you have accidentally sanded through the clear ?

Amazing quick tutorial
Yes bro
This video was great! I was astonished at the gloss level you achieved without having to spray on a clear-coat. Is clear coat mostly just for protection? Thank you.
Just found your videos- game changer!!

Well done!!!
Can’t even see the damage at all. Nice job 👍🏻
Great as always mate! Do you know if after several car washes or after a while (few months) the paint doesn't get dull again since it has no clear coating over the paint???? Any inputs on that?
çok güzel oldu. bunu deneyeceğim
Class job lad..great channel🤘

If I have a few scractches because unfortunately I hit a wall, can I do rhis too? The paint has gone and I can see the white under it as well as metal in some areas.

Cheers mel
Amazing job. 👍
Thanks for watching!
thats really nice. looks like a bmw mirror aswell. a lot like my f30 :D gonna try this tip to refreshen them. thanks
No problem mate
excellent love it!
👊🏻👊🏻
After 3 months, one can see the defect of area was done since you just polished it. Applying a UV clear coat will do it better.
I've not found this but thanks for the comments
Great video! What is the longevity of this fix without a dab of clear coat of those new paint applied?
Did some on my van 2 yrs ago and still intact
Great job
Thankyou
What kind of black pain are you applying?
Looks perfect to me.
I'm looking to give this a go on my mirror caps, I do have a question though... my cars metallic black, I've purchased a touch up bottle from a paint shop, being metallic I'll need to apply lacquer, would you mix the lacquer with the paint or is there a different process ide need to proceed with? Great tutorials, keep em up!
You could mix tiny amount of lacquer in the paint and apply. Leave overnight then try the method perhaps
Can I ask you a question? Should the black paint be the same as the car´s original paint? So you order it for the paint code and you do the process of the video. Thanks in advance, amazing video
I'm looking to do up a Chrystler 300c 2016 a week from now. lots of scratches, there's some spots that need paint and clear touch up too. hoping to do a full 3m scratch kit compound and polish application, and then spray hybrid ceramic over the work, can it be done same day? doing a favor for someone 8 miles away so hoping to do everything in one day
GREAT TIP BRO
No problem
Nice job!!!!👍👍👍👍
Why you need to use solvent base paint? Will this fix last for years or at some point the damage will show up?
super helpful thanks !!!
Glad it helped!
Wow as a carpainter i am shocked.. I tought perhaps you will do a clear coat skim after the the black paint ? Looks awesome dude 👌🏻
There a several methods and I will he covering all of them. Thanks for the comments and support
I thought that 😊
That would be great 😊
Does it stay shiny? Or you have to keep reapply?
good work
Thanks
Brilliant! If it wasn’t so chuffing hot, I’d attack a few scratches 😂
Haha I know mate
Great video. Can i ask you how i would go about removing a Bird Poo stain from my bonnet
Done 2 vids on this topic, check them out
And how long does the color last after you have sanded away all the clear lacquer
Brilliant video. Where do I buy a polish wheel and what attachments do I need? I've got a deep scratch on the front bumper. Grey in colour. Thanks

I have a Silver metallic color car do you recommend to use this technique or not?
Great job mate . Quick question did you mix thinner and hardener with the solvent paint or its just the paint?
Just neat solvent base
