Hammond is a true G after all the crashes he still gets behind the wheel of monstrously fast cars. He has my respect 👏
Nah...his brain has forgotten he has crashed before
He keeps banging out asian cars on top gear. Why get him to test this car is my question
And who are you?
That’s one way to look at it. Go watch the video of the rimac hill climb where he crashes. From the start he looks terrified behind the wheel. So he knew the car was too much for him and his driving skills. Yet he still chose to push it. It was selfish on his part. Glad he’s okayc but Guaranteed if it was his car he wouldn’t have pushed it.
it's not a big deal
That Nio does 0-124 faster than a Aston Martin DB7 doing 0-60. 🤯
It's not your personal experience or opinion. You just Google the figures and try to put them as if you thought about those numbers.
Its because its electric, the electric motor will deliver maximum instant torque when you start kicking the pedal. Not like ICE where the maximum torque is at certain rpm

A computer that almost drives itself without rolling, just what Hammond needs 🙂👍
But that computer should be able to do a loud exhaust sound in a tunnel automatically, and be able to do drift circles on public places
I think even with a "car" like this, Hammond is able to have an accident ;-)
Yes, he needs something with invisible, force field, outriggers to stabilize the car she keep it from rolling or going off road.
The guy almost died let's make fun of that every time he's in a car lol... Seriously, some of you need a reboot.

I am watching Grand tour and topgear over and over again. Please bring back the episodes. We all need more of that.
The braking of this car looks great. Need to see more electric hypercars on race tracks than straight line races. Sure, the Plaid and Nevera are monsters in drag races, but I wonder how they will fair against this in a race course.
If forza has any realism to it ep9 is FAR better at cornering than the Rimac concept 2
They did a record on the Nürburgring and it's pretty decent.
The Plaid was almost a minute slower than the EP9 on the Nurbergring, for a family sedan couldn’t brake or corner as fast as an electric race car. Other cars with about the same lap time has only half the power of it. I believe Rimac would do much better.
I think having a really long first gear definitely helps with handling. A lot of race cars have really long first and second gears for this reason. It really is an electric track car.
@@ChrisSmallman1981 And it is. I’ve played the game, it corners WAY better than the Nevera.

Looks and performance! It's not all about the straight line. This thing hugs the turns like no other electric car. The idea of swappable batteries is ideal for a race track-specific EV. You'll have your batteries swapped out in the time it takes them to change out the tires. Meanwhile, the competition is plugged in waiting 15+ minutes for their batteries to recharge. Now if I only had a few hundred million lying around I could finally fit into an RC car that I've been dreaming of doing since I was little.
except the Tesla, 15+ seconds faster.

@@tedmoss but then you'll have the huge downside of being a Tesla driver
I cannot believe more electronic devices with rechargeable batteries don't allow standardized size batteries with swap capability. Cell phones being a big and major example of this simple technology to save people's time. We used to have double a triple a c and d batteries that were somewhat standard in all electronics. But for cell phones, every model even within the same manufacturer requires its own specific battery. And many of them don't even want you to take it out easily and solder it shut inside the case.
Looks like another car on my bucket list! Looks fast and is faster then it looks. We are in the future !!
