Cannot wait for your true ride impressions. Does it float down the road? Does it have a lot of body roll? Does it have a good turning radius? When you are soft roading, is the suspension too stiff? What is the 0-60 performance numbers? Is the visibility excellent? How comfortable are you in the seats? I miss my 1995 Pathfinder. This machine might be a prelude into getting back to its roots.

  • Eh… I hate it when the offroad trail is so cherry picked by the group selling you the car. Like if they really are comfortable and confident in their car being offroad worthy (even moderately) they should let reviewers pick a place to test it. Maybe have a vote and connect reviewers and fly them out to same place so it can still be a gathering but have it be a real test. Or they should drop the vehicle off at your location just say have at it, we want an honest opinion. I’m hoping Nissan is turning a new leaf. They seem like they want to change and fix what’s been wrong with them for so many years. They gave themselves a slightly new logo and are from what I have heard, getting away from old Nissan way of things. This could be good.

  • I'll venture to bet that both my current 4runner and former Frontier could have traversed that path in 2WD. Putting these "terrain select" switches on lifted AWD station wagons just gives people that don't need to be off roading a false sense of security that sometimes gets them into places they should not be and can't get out of. But to close on a positive note, at least this Pathfinder looks like a Pathfinder and not a a big Sentra station wagon. Thank goodness the CVT is gone. That does make this a viable alternative to the Explorer.

  • FYI: I test drove a 2022 Pathfinder SL 4WD here in Central Texas where it was 100 degrees today on 7.29.21.. the reason I wanted to test drive one was to see how the AC worked because I saw a few reviews that said the AC didn't get cold enough...and they were RIGHT...The AC did NOT get cold enough IN THE 100 degree weather today.. I had the AC set to recycle the air from the inside air with AC button pressed and had it set to the lowest setting which was 60 degrees and the air did not feel crisp enough and would get warmer when u slowed down ,I also un pressed the AC button and that did not help..I own a 2015 Pathfinder SV and the air gets colder in it when I have it set to 70 degrees with the air being recycle from the inside air and the AC button is not pressed..Needless to say I was disappointed..matter of fact we help my mother in law buy a Nissan 2021 Kick last week and the AC gets colder then the New 2022 Pathfinder..Nissan please fix...Here in Texas if the AC isn't cold enough then nothing else matters with all the other new features...I definitely recommend testing one out on a HOT day before buying one..

    • We have one a d our ac gets ice cold. Was 103 this week and took 5 mins to cool down one time. Usually have to turn up to 73 or it us a bit chilly. I'm also one that keeps my house in the 60s. You want a poor ac try a Mazda cx9.

    • Also you have to make sure both front and rear air are not on the floor vents and of course recirculation. It gets colder much quicker if you back the fan speed off.

  • This is a huge improvement over the last generation. The pathfinder needed to get some of its off road heritage back, however Nissan knows that most customers will not take this this ever off road. Possibly roll out a more off road version like Ford did with the Timberline Explorer.

  • Lift to 10in clearance, protect the bottom, 33 in off road tires, low range, off-road shocks, locked center and rear diffs, 1200 lb payload ... then you have something. This is another pretender, a style kit. Can't believe Nissan thinks it can recover with this. You gotta earn it Nissan. Build value.
