You could log out of your profile and log in to your baby profile in the upper right corner of your screen.

Great video, couple of questions though I’ve brought this for my daughter for Christmas she will be 8 years old, what happens if she goes onto App Store and try’s to download something that needs push for? Also if I already have amazon prime after the year is up can she still carry on watching amazon prime on her tablet?? Also am I able to get KZhead onto the kids profile? And there is no way the kids can get onto the parents profile & use card details etc purchasing things etc! :) thank you

I've been looking all over and can't find info on using Alexa with these tablets. Not sure if it's because it's a kids tablet (doesn't work in adult profile either) or if it's because I'm in Canada but it doesn't work. I didn't get prompted in the setup like your video and I don't have the option "Alexa" in the settings either. Thoughts?
Hi Joe, what year and model is your Amazon Fire tablet? Go on the parent account of your Amazon Fire tablet: 1) go to your home screen, 2) swipe from the top down, then you will see "Alexa hands free". 3) click on it. If you don't have the Alexa app, go to the appstore and search for Amazon Alexa and download the app. Hope it helps. Thank you

So I brought this tablet 3 years ago for my eldest and set it up, I recently found this three years later and set it up for my younger daughter, the setup seems to have changed?? I'm very confused is there any way I can get the old set up back??
The setup was probably changed because of the update. You might get your old setup if you do a system reset which you will be losing all your data.
Ok do mine doesn’t show the home,books,videos and game thing I have a way different set up so I don’t know how to fix it to look like yours I tried everything
Do you mean the kids account or parent? Mine is set as default. If you restore your fire tablet it should go back to its original setup.

Great video. I’m struggling to understand why it says I’m not connected to WiFi when on my baby’s profile? It’s connected when on my profile
Go to your profile then go to child settings , sometimes the wifi is checked off on the child settings. If that doesn't work, try to restore your device. Hope this helps.

I live in Jamaica and i bought the pink one today for my niece birthday but when I put in the information, and it's saying is not available in my country so am supposed to choose a country and right there am stuck I feel so disappointed for I wanted to surprise her. any help or bit of advice 😓😓

When adding an App, for example, Messenger Kids, and you want to add it to your child's profile, I've tried adding it to my second child's profile, but it will not download to his. It is on my oldest son's profile, so how do I get it on my second child's? Also, Earth Rangers App is not downloading to my son's profile either. What do I need to do?
Sorry to hear that, i know you could get the messenger apps for the parent account. For kids account is limited to kids contents. Some apps that you cannot find in the appstore may have been removed from the appstore by Amazon.

Swipe down from the top of the screen and click on the adult account, after you switched account you could download apps and manage the kids account.

Angel Villegas you have to call amazon and have them add your address to your amazon account
I also had issues setting my kids account it never got started and I just restarted the whole tablet and none of the kids app are available

Update : what I did to get it to work , I restarted the whole tablet and restarted the process all over again and it worked surprisingly

I don't know if this is common with this tablets but when the tablet is not connected to wifi some games doesn't apear, they just apear like something is there but it doesn't show the games logo

It depends where you are located. If that is the case then change to a different country. Set up should be straight forward but you must need a valid credit card.

You would have to use your cellphone hotspot for your tablet.
Depending on what internet company you have and your location you should be able to use your internet hotspot as well
If you have a game or movie playing can you lock so they can’t exit out accidentally? Like the iPad guided access triple click feature??? Thanks lol
I don't think there is a lock on the app for movies and games, but I hope future updates may have them.

You could go straight to the app store on your profile and download apps. For the kids apps its on kid profile.

Free time has free games and apps for kids during the trial period. After your free subscription is over, you could pay for the monthly subscription and continue using the games or apps.

Sorry, you cannot. However, on the parent account you could download an app called Tubemate, its not available in the appstore. You could google the app and download that app on the internet browser of your Amazon Fire tablet. Tubemate will allow you to download youtube videos on your Amazon Fire tablet.

Okay so when my son plays certain games on this thing the little bar on the bottom does not pop up to exit it ... .. I have to restart it on n off just to see the kids menu then agian when we pick a game the bar dosnt come up to have the option to exit an go back .... What are we doing wrong?????

Yes you can, swipe down from the top and click on the adult account with a password. From there you could change and add more accounts
