  • Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzhead.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

  • I would have two comments: 1) Don’t make him jump, it’s damaging to his joints. Up until one year of age dogs (especially big breeds) shouldn’t jump more than they personally want to. Don’t create situations where he has to jump and don’t make him jump on command. If he jumps at his own free will, it’s fine, but don’t make him do it. 2) You repeat commands. Don’t. By repeating a command you tell the dog “you don’t really need to obey at once, if you don’t, I’ll repeat it, don’t worry”. And he will adopt an attitude like “She gave a command. But it was just once, that’s OK, she’ll repeat it several times, there’s no rush.” In the end the dog will never obey on first command, unless it suits him. If he doesn’t obey, just make him obey, show him you really mean it, that you’re serious. For example if you call him and he doesn’t come, go to him and drag him back to the place from which you called him, so he knows that when you say “come” (or whichever command you use for that) he always ends up sitting in front of you at the place where you were at the time. Never repeat commands.

    • @@khorgeboro4247 I’m saying that when you give a command and the dog doesn’t obey, you must force him to obey and not repeat the command. That is a terrible mistake to do, one of the biggest you can make. Always give the command only once, never repeat. Never.

  • I had a German shepherd and a Doberman dogs I lost them in an car accident 😭I really miss them and one more thing is plz do not give ur pets to someone else if u already lived and trained them for a month .
