As an abuse survivor, I can say some of these scenes where so incredibly real and made me relate to him on an extreme level, and on the other hand there where some scenes with his reactions that seemed pretty over dramatized. For the most part though, this show was absolutely amazing spot on. I love it so much. I cried, laughed, stepped away, and just loved the show so much. Finally, a character I can relate to. Jihoon is so amazing and he really fit this role as Yeo Jun.

@@torielschild the one that kinda felt a bit strange was the stairwell scene or everytime he was pushed he went absolutely batshit. It honestly might be a personal thing but it felt a bit- much. Fortunately and unfortunately it’s not really flashbacks it’s more like- a familiar feeling that makes you uncomfortable. Again it could just be me who thought that but that’s just my hot take lol. They still did an absolutely amazing job
@@rent5729this is a very late reply but to add some reasoning behind his shock mode whenever he got pushed probably would be bcuz of his popularity. He gets along with everyone so him getting into fights or pushed aggressively rarely would happen therefor when it does happen it comes as a shock and a reminder to that traumatic moment. I'm not sure how this sounds (logical or not lol) but just my take as I just finished the drama.

The guy who played the role of Yeojun is Park Jihoon. He's a very good actor. He is currently filming his new drama WEAK HERO. Let's watch it! He is also a singer. His songs are all so good. He's also a great dancer. A very talented man!

I understand why he didn’t want to tell people about it. They’d all say “I understand” and they have no idea what it’s like to go through that. Imagine knowing the people who are supposed to love you the most in the world telling you they regret bringing you into this world. On top of that having to pretend to be okay when you’re around people. Having to have everyone like you just so you could feel even less like trash.

As someone who's had a similar past and a survivor of it , I really can't say that his portrayal of the character wasn't anything but amazing. Some of the scenes really related to me on an extreme level and the execution of the flashbacks and the accuracy of his instability mentally really hit home. Although sometimes it could be overly dramatic at times , I still think it covers the topics well and the casting couldn't have been better. really love and recommend this drama with all my heart and whomever also relates to yeojun I sincerely hope that you're are doing well. This drama can be for any types of people as it covers many different traumas like bullying as well . Anyways sorry for my little vent but thanks for coming to my ted talk. Thank you!
The sad part is, his dad never stopped hitting him. He just did it behind his brother’s back 🥺
my heart🥺 I don't even know this drama but god damn that tugged on my heart strings. and the scene where he is supposed to be a kid, where his bother says that "you're on your own, they're not your mom and dad" that was heartless! his acting is so good I almost cried at the start when he screamed "DON'T HIT HIM!"

I can relate but in a different level than this drama. Trying to forget the past only bring sorrow deeper than it actually is. This isn't something a child can forget throughout his/her lifetime. As for me, I struggle everyday to keep myself happy everyday. Trying to put others first before myself. This is why people who are like me or at least has the same situation. Please remember. every happiness hides the deeper meaning of pain. All they want is love and compassion Bcuz growing up they have to endure this pain on their own when no one to support them.
how do they get the kid to act like that tho? like Ik the kid is legit crying and screaming but, why? like legit looks so real I almost forgot that all of this is acting and makeup 💀

My line here is I only smiled whenever I want to hide my real side from ppl, I smile if I want to make them atleast feel loved it's never happened in my case.
I felt so bad for him. It wasn’t my whole family that hated me but my mom didn’t like me in particular and it sucks not being loved and not having those connections then seeing other people have it but complaining about it. It was one of the most insulting things I ever experienced (hearing people complain about their parents who clearly loved them). Meanwhile I am sitting there feeling hateful toward them for being ungrateful. I relate to characters like this and just wish them the best in life, especially if they are clearly a good person.

He and I both have same situation but the difference is for me it's too expensive to have a troma when you face these everyday. You just try to be strong and never let anyone to love you cuz u fear to be in love and loose that person. So from distance you looks so great and beautiful unless u really open up and show how messed up u really r .But it's ok even though it's hart to live like this but u should try to build urself so strong.

When i was 4, my mom used to lock me up in the bathroom at night and turn the light off. I'm not afraid of dark now, in fact i love it but back then i was super afraid of it. My parents were so much more abusive to my sister that it scared me. Once i unlocked the bathroom door from outside while mom and dad were busy. When they found out i did it, they beat me up with a huge spoon for doing this. They were so extremely abusive towards us and I'm 16 now and still can't forgive them for ruining our childhood. They're still making my life miserable. My sister lives in another city now but i'm stuck with them. They still torture me both phisically and mentally. What should i do?

@@lily23_665 it's not the solution to end yourself. Find yourself in something you like to do. Cope with the situation. My mother or father didn't stop either but they're better now. The scars never get removed whatever you do but they can be cured if you try hard enough. It's a tough situation to deal with though......
