  • Incredible win for Alabama, beating such a great Georgia team. This was an intense game throughout and it could have gone either way, but Georgia made a few critical errors and Alabama's defense was great in short-yardage situations. This game is never again going to have stakes of this magnitude, so it's fitting that the golden age of the SEC Championship Game ends the same way it began in 1992 - with two great teams leaving everything on the field and Alabama dramatically and narrowly pulling it out.

    • These 32 years have produced some intense, high stakes games with incredible moments and legendary players and coaches. I agree - from now on, BOTH teams involved in this game will be locks for the playoffs. So, other than the conference title, the game will have diminished meaning for the National Championship. I’m going to miss this era of football.

    • Beck almost threw 4 more critical errors. If our CBs could’ve capitalized than this game could’ve gotten ugly. Feel bad for our starting RB, Jase McClellan. Bama’s been to the SECCG and won in 3 of his 4 years at Bama yet he’s never been able to play or had Najee/Brian Robinson ahead of him. At 803 yards it’ll be tough but possible job if we can win the semi-final to reach 1k for the 1st time in his career. Def rooting for him, it sucked losing him in ‘21 as he was doing such a good job catching outta the backfield. As for this win, ‘twas awesome and I’m glad it turned out the way it did cause every Bama fan has been saying how UGA is def one of the 4 best teams, yet last year not a peep from any UGA fan about Bama being a top4 team. There’s no way none of them thought Bama wouldn’t beat at least TCU despite barely winning against most big10 opponents, UT/OU having awful seasons and freaking losing to K-State/not even winning their conference experiencing a down year? Even as someone happily raised in Georgia, my favorite town being Athens, and all my friends/mom’s side of the family being UGA fans to the point where i call them and congratulate ‘em/still have convos about the game……this one nearly feels better than 2nd ‘n 26. I still have no disdain for UGA and have yet to hear a peep about the game from those close relatives of mine but I wouldn’t laugh at their misery, it’s just some nice fitting poetic justice. 3 points kept us out and now 3 points will keep ‘em out, hand delivered. Rtr!

  • I’m glad this game happened so that those who were mistaken could see that they were wrong. Alabama is still the golden standard and best, most dominant football program in college football.

    @Gk54493@Gk544935 ай бұрын
    • I wouldn't say all that. As a Georgia fan, I respect Alabama. I knew when we lost it would be to them but to call them dominant and acting like Georgia sucked compared to them is dumb. Both teams are great. Keep in mind we only lost by 3. A missed field goal, one call should've been a punt but ks didn't call a timeout to give the refs time to look into it and led for a bama touchdown. Also some key starters on our offense were injured or not at 100%. Either way, great job bama. Y'all beat us. Keep the 🏆 in the sec 👍🏻

    • @@acm3215 He's not saying that Georgia sucked or that Alabama dominated them at all. He's just pointing out that this game disproved the popular take that Alabama and Saban were washed up and had been overtaken by Georgia. Not just Georgia fans were saying that either, it was very widespread and repeatedly stated by the media. I hate that McConkey and Bowers were not 100%, but at least they were able to play. I'm sure you recall that Alabama was missing Metchie and Williams, along with some lesser known players, in the 2021 rematch. As Georgia fans repeatedly said at that time, injuries are part of the game and there's no room for excuses. If you look back at my comments on my video of that national championship game, you will see that I agreed with Georgia fans about that at the time, so I'm not being hypocritical here.

  • NGL after how Bama went 3 and out with a sack, UGA scoring so easily on their first drive, and Bama having to punt again on their second drive I was thinking it was gonna turn into a boat race. But the defense did a nice job of stiffening up and offense was able to adjust and finish the rest of the first half very strong. They also did a nice job punching back in the second half when georgia popped them in the mouth again. Turnover, O line and D line winning the line of scrimmage were massive in the outcome of this game.

  • So hard to believe that this is the final win for Nick Saban as Alabama's coach. Somehow, Alabama always seemed to play their best game in the SEC Championship game - and the same for Saban's LSU teams. Saban had an 11-1 record in the SEC Championship game and his only loss was to that Florida team in 2008 that was on a tear after the early-season Ole Miss loss. Glad that he was able to win this one knowing now that this would be his final season.
