  • If you don't know, Mike Conley has NEVER fouled out. No flagrants. No suspensions. Zero fines. No technical fouls in over 34,000 mins/17 years in the NBA. Chuck is right in saying he is underrated. Just because he doesn't make headlines doesn't mean he's a bad player, Conley is as cool as you can get in the NBA.

    • @@comradeyellow6781 I honestly believe Beal and Booker are being exposed. I’ve long believed that Beal was overrated and just basically a great stats on bad team guy. Booker however, is who I’m really disappointed in. I think if the suns are going to reach their potential, Booker has to be the best player because KD is going on 36 and in his 17th season. To me, even though he’s still a very good to great player, I think he’s on the downside of his prime at this point.

  • Isn't EVERY team in trouble if they fall behind 0-2 in a playoff series? You have to win 4 out of 5 remaining against a team that just beat you twice. That sounds like trouble to me.

    • I hope it’s trouble

    • If any higher seed lost home court already (Bucks) the story would be “Are they in trouble now that they’ve lost home court advantage?”. I feel like early in a series you’re supposed to win at home. It gets real later in a series when your opponent knows everything you’re gonna do because they studied you so much and you have to rely on experience, energy, and ability to beat them.

    • Not necessarily because playoff teams are expected to defend home court. Phoenix can win both home games and then series is two two. Your in trouble if your the team with home court advantage and drop a game at home like the clippers and bucks

      @dripg0djv280@dripg0djv28011 күн бұрын
    • 0-2 is not a death nil in the NBA. Rarely does the vastly superior team fall behind 0-2, but it can happen. (Not saying that is the case here, though.) But if the teams are relatively even in talent, size, and contract configuration, then 0-2 can be overcome, sometimes in an overwhelming manner. Championship level sports is about exhaustion and attrition. Those two variables, by nature, don't show up until game 3 and beyond. In this case though, Beal and Durant are aging, and Booker is suspect on a playoff level, and the Wolves are young, big, and balanced, so these results are probably accurate. Durant/Beal still play great, but don't have the "stuff" to play thru the younger, more athletic teams, for seven games. The fact is also that Durant has never proved himself championship impactful. His reputation has been built on the fact that he glommed onto a team that was at a proven championship level prior to him arriving. The injuries to Nurkic and Allen are probably the final nails in the Sun's playoff coffin.

Suns went to the line more than the mavs game 1 and 11 times less in game 2. They let the game slip out of their hands after halftime

  • The reason people think the series is over is not because they are down 0-2, it's because of how they lost the games, by being worn down and dominated in both 2nd halves and not being as deep or versatile with respect to scoring. The Suns had a chance up 8 in the 2nd quarter to extend their lead and put some actual game pressure on the wolves and create some doubt. The lead disappeared and it was 1 point game at half. At that point, I felt the momentum shifted and the timberwolves have been a great 3rd quarter team all season, that's usually when they create separation on the scoreboard and that has been true so far in both games. Suns played decent both first halves, but it's a 4 quarter game and they ran out of gas both times and that happened with KAT in foul trouble, reid and edwards both having off nights and the timberwolves won comfortably by 12. Yes, the Suns will play better at home, but the timberwolves have just clearly been the better overall team so far.

  • The Phoenix Suns DON'T have three nuclear weapons. The Phoenix Suns only have ONE elite NBA player (Kevin Durant). It's the point guard and shooting guard responsibility to breakdown their opponent defense so that the offense will come easy by bring out the best in the other guys first. Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Eric Gordan don't have an IQ or experiences of an ELITE point guard or shooting guard. The Phoenix Suns owner BIGGEST mistake was keeping Devin Booker on the team after he was one of the reason why the Phoenix Suns lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 NBA Finals, and then adding Bradley Beal and Eric Gordan. We have watched Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Eric Gordan dribble, shoot, and miss TOO long just to get an NBA pay check.

    • Beal is in a common situation that occurs with players who border on the fringe of the 3rd Team All-NBA achievement, meaning that to get a max contract, one has to have accolades, most notably, selection to one of the All-NBA teams (fifteen players). The players who are on the cusp, fighting for that 13th, 14th, and 15th spot, they never come out of the games in the regular season so as to pad their stats to get that last spot. The contract position between player 15 and player 16 (who is not on the All-NBA team) can be 40-60 million dollars, or more, over the course of their next contract. When this happens, they play so many minutes, and they play so hard, to get the stats to maybe get that last spot, that they typically burn out their knees and/or ankles trying to get that Max Contract. This is why it is unwise to sign players to max contracts who had to sell out at this level to achieve that status and salary. (Reference: Kemba Walker)
