The fact that he can go from cutting wood and being freaking excited and the next moment killing it on the drums is awesome lol
Was going over to my friends house to make handles, amazing timing
This guys is the optimal Canadian. One of the nicest channels I’ve ever watched.
Peak Canuck
I was a cabinetmaker for 38 years Buckin. It does my heart good to see you grab that 8 quarter hickory and cut it up......and make a nice axe handle! You are unstoppable my friend!
Just did this for my boys ax. Made it from a tree that was cut on the property and lumber I made from it. Super cool!
How did you mill it
I aspire to obtain his level of energy and happiness at his age. "I'M BEING A CARPENTER HONEY!" 🤣🤣🤣 6:59

Brother that was some of the finest wappin, slappin, and smacking of the skins I have ever seen. I've been watching your videos for sheesh, seems like five years or so and that's the first one I've seen you bust out on the drums! I had no idea you were so talented, props to you my man. I get just as stoked as you do watching these! Going to head outside soon and whip myself up one of your dandy axe handles. Love the videos! You the man!

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BUCKIN' ! You are just totally the coolest dude.
Every time I'm having a bad day I always get on here and watch your video and it always lower my stress to sit down and watch you for hours at a time and just ignore everything around me. So I want to thank you for that.
You just carved a perfect teardrop on the top of that beam. That's incredible😮
Billy you are a good craftsman. Your heart and drive ,experience it all shows. Don't tell me your not good at axe handels. With my no experience at axe handels I am not good at it but using your experience and my drive and heart . I will attempt a axe handle , I have said for years all ya can do is try . And try i.will. Love Wins. Wish me luck , I will need it .
I see the respirator and safety goggles have made an appearance. I’ve been carving chainsaw bears and eagles lately and a couple days ago I took a cedar chip to the eyeball and it was the worst one yet. I woke up the morning after and couldn’t open my eye, I almost had to make a run to the emergency room. I just ordered a pair of those steel mesh goggles! Before long I’ll be OSHA approved 😁 Handle looks great, Billy. Good to see you’re still lovin’ life brother!
I'm alway amazed by chain saw carvers I run saw everyday an dont know hoe you guys do it even with the right barn n chain what not a guy who lives down the rd a piece does nice work bears an other animal he has one strapped down in the bed of his pick up every time I run into him at gas station or around town I end up staring at that bear saying how the heck do you do that lol keep it up but stay safe you gotta see to be able to carve lol
That oak tho! i want to get into carpenting and combine it with my blacksmithing! this is amazing!

@@MATT.MAN-PEACE-LOVE thank you. I appreciate your kindness! Have a great week! Thanks buddy!
My Granddaddy and I made handles of all kinds when I was a young fellow. We always made our handles out of young hickory and only the butt cut. My Grandad always said the young butt was tougher and more flexible. We usually got 4 handle pieces out of a tree. We then hand split it to get the grain oriented right. If we had extra handle pieces left over we would sink them in the creek until needed. They would keep a long time in the creek.
You're a breath of fresh air mate, and you live a rich life. Addicted to these videos now, and i hope to spend more time in the woods soon
the grain on those pieces is amazing
That handle was truly deadly. Done by eye and *chefs kiss* perfectly centered.
This is awesome! I really like seeing the transformation from a board to a handle. Can’t wait to see the wood bullet on a custom handle👍🏻.

White Oak is gorgeous with that tight grain and I love when those medullary rays start showing up. And that smell...Oh man, I love the smell. Furniture, cabinets, boats, flooring, and handles on tools...I've used it everywhere. A chair maker in south eastern US, Brian Boggs uses it a lot and sometimes makes it jet black. He soaks steel wool in vinegar for like a week. When he puts it on the wood and it reacts with the tannins in the white oak and turns black deep into the grain. It's not a stain, it's a chemical reaction. It's one of my favorite woods. Love your enthusiasm! It lifts me up and brightens my day. So thank you for sharing these experiences.
Your a good man bucking....just watched the axe handle of life!!! Your not wrong brother. Much love to you and yours big dog🥰
How can the biggest manliest man I have ever seen seem so welcoming and friendly!
