  • The Blues signing Scott Stevens in 1990 led to Jordan Binnington. 1991: Blues sign Brendan Shanahan as restricted free agent from Devils. Stevens is awarded to the Devils as compensation. 1995: Blues trade Shanahan to Whalers for Chris Pronger. 2005: Blues trade Pronger to Oilers for Eric Brewer, Doug Lynch and Jeff Woywitka. 2011: Blues trade Brewer to Lightning for Brock Beukeboom and 3rd round draft pick. 2011: Blues use that draft choice for Jordan Binnington

  • Fun fact, Pronger going to Edmonton helped the Blues in getting Jordan Binnington. It started with the Blues trading Shanahan for Pronger. Then Pronger to Edmonton for Eric Brewer and some other stuff. Then Brewer was traded to Tampa for their 2011 3rd round pick which the Blues used to draft Binnington.

    @lebutzki@lebutzki3 жыл бұрын
    • Agreed. Sorry many years late, the pronger (STL) for shanahan (HAR/CAR) trade tree led not only to binnington (STL) but to major contributors for the 05-06 CAR stanley cup winning team (Erik Cole, Brind'Amour, Gerber, Hedican, Adams, etc.). This would be a cool other trade tree to show.
