  • This is my hot take. The wired is a better version. I returned the wireless, it felt janky and cheap in hand. Wonderful shape, great specs, but it was like the beta version. I tried the wired, keeping it... Wonderful coating, and despite being a few grams lighter it actually feels more solid. The wire isn't a hinderance, it's a better connection. It's an improvement that costs less. For those on the fence, buy the wired Deathadder V3, it's fantastic.

    • I've bought 3 of them, had to return ALL OF THEM BECAUSE they all arrived with issues, it's so trash quality control wise, If you check your polling rates it will be nowhere near what they say. all 3 mice had different feeling mouse clicks, some sharper than others and one of them had mushy side buttons. It's all bs and actually should be illegal, the amount of money and time I have spent returning the same item is NOT OK

    • I actually did the same as you today. I got rid of the wireless version of the deathadder and bought it with a cord. After a few months of use, the wireless deathadder creaked at even a gentle touch, I also noticed that the coating was wearing off just like in the logitech gpx. In addition, we have an 8khz polling rate as standard. Dongles for the wireless version cost 35% of the mouse price in my country.

Best mouse on the market, for price to performance. Mentioned all this in my review as well it's a definite buy if you can handle wired connection

  • The shocking part to me is that I feel slightly insane when Boardzy talks about the GPX having a "rubberized coating" I have a GPX on my desk at this very moment and there's nothing rubberized about it. It feels like smooth plastic, like an ABS plastic keycap that can develop shine over time.

  • Yeah I just got the DAV3 wired and am so pleased. I always loved the shape of the Deathadder but thought it was too heavy. I never was a fan of wireless mice having to either change batteries or plug in the charger. The DAV3 wire is not really noticeable I put on grip tape for better control and it is my number one mouse now.

  • I've tried so many different mice over the years, but i've had a deathadder from the very beginning and i've genuinely never found a better mouse for my personal preference, this mouse is literally the definition of "simplicity perfected". The only thing i would change about the deathadder v3 is replacing its scroll wheel with the scroll wheel from the razer ouroborus. Thinking about it, the ouroborus is probably my favourite razer mouse, but sadly mine broke a couple of years back, and its geniuenly extremely difficult to find it anymore. I would love to see a v2 with all the latest tech and improvements.

  • I think Razer splits the front feet apart to make the friction more consistent. Since you move a mouse in an arc the front feet have to travel farther than the bottom, so if they had the same friction properties it would mess with your aim slightly and force the body to recorrect the slight tilt that friction would create. Also typically the front of the mouse controls aim the most so by splitting the feet it makes the front easier to dig into pads and create more friction when stopping the mouse. Palm grip users can often been heavy handed since they use their arm to aim so if the back end also was split it could make aiming really inconsistent with players digging into the mousepad on accident. Rubberized coatings are a little thicker and could explain why it flexes less. These coatings add a couple grams of weight, which is why this mouse isn’t like 8grams lighter without the battery. (Batteries typically weigh 8-10grams) I’ve also noticed that the scrollwheel is trash. I wonder if they changed the encoder, will have to wait for beardedbob to crack it open. When playing games the scrollwheel is fine I guess, its pretty tactile for how light it is, but its so damn loud, no where bear as satisfying to use as a TTC Gold.

    • true, superlight's large front skate surface actually fucks up my aim because of that

    • I honestly wish that razer had made the scroll wheel from the ouroborus the standard scroll wheel, it was metal instead of plastic and was wider but with a lower profile and imo was the best mouse scroll wheel I've seen. Obviously it would add a little bit of extra weight, but when your mouse only weighs 59 grams, I think adding a few more grams of weight isn't going to hurt.

Unless you have a crimping tool or a soldering iron you can't paracord the dav3, i tried it... Edit: I just found out that paracords with the right connector are being sold by paracord makers. I can afford to buy high end wireless mice but i just don't like the feel of wireless. Now on to the product i bought the dav3 wired and it's amazing, no issues on qc perfect jut like zowie and vaxee build quality, v3 opticals crispy sound, snappy, cable is also good flexible yet sturdy i even use it w/o a bungee and i never think about it. But i have small hands and i prefer smaller mice so i just give it to my friend because his hand size is bigger than mine. • Wireless is nice, but with a half decent cable + mouse bungee/setup, I have a hard time saying no to wired with how much cash you save. Plus some companies don't pull off a good wired to wireless transition: basically end up adding a lot of weight to the mouse. Obviously Razer didn't have this issue with the weight of DAV3 wired vs wireless. I have a Kone pro that I really like, but I've no desire buying the wireless because my setup negates a lot of the issues with cables.

  • I have both the wired and wireless and I can honestly say I prefer the wired. At the end of the day, wired, still has (albeit it very minimal nowadays) slightly less latency. 8k hz didn't work on CSGO for me but 4k was fine. The cable definitely isn't perfect but I think it's at least top 3 stock cables on a wired mouse right now. The smooth coating ends up being a negative for me since I have sweatier hands than most but I just moved my grips from the wireless and was fine. I was disappointed that the mouse doesn't come with it's own grips this time though.

  • I honestly think that it is one of the best things that Razer is doing compared to most other brands. Why does it only have to be that mice have to be just the top of the line specs and just be sold in flagships? Its still a bit pricey for an “affordable” gaming mouse but its offering most of what the pro can do while catering to most noobs lmao Idk if its a good idea but I think there should be a Seal of Approval for cheaper mice for noobies, I mean I think the market and in the gaming industry there are newer and newer people gaming and whatnot, plus the fact that perhaps some people don’t really have a good idea that there are actually much more affordable mice that are offering pro-like specs to these markets.

  • i'm actually a non-fan of wireless mainly because i know for a fact i'll forget to charge the mouse (ffs i forget to charge my smartphone) and i know i'll end up in a clutch 1v5 last man to kill and the mouse will die on me, i can see it coming soooo considering the price of most good wireless mouse and the fact that i still have my mouse bungee i don't see why i should go wireless tbh. The price is also a BIG thing for me, 145€ on amazon in france (mainly cuz of taxes lol) against 80€ (66.66€+13.33€ of taxes lol) ain't no way i'm spending over a hundred € for a mouse tbh. coming from an old EC1 from Zowie the weight difference i think will be game changer, 95g vs 59g will impact me in a positive way and maybe i'll finally stick to my low sens because it won't feel like a flipping workout whenever i play lol. Idk if the 8k hz will really be that gamechanger or if it's just a gimmick at this point but we'll see, i'll do an update when i get the mouse
