Little Lore Fact The Spider Rom was protecting humanity from a ritual that took place by “casting a bubble” because if humans saw the world in its true form, they would’ve went mad and died. So killing Rom reveals the true world, also those tentacle giants you saw at the end have been all over the game since the beginning of the game but because Rom had the bubble up, you couldn’t see them.

@@kiddchapel1126 yeah you need like 60 or something. Although you're likely not gonna be able to get 60 before killing Rom on your 1st run. Unless you use the chalice dungeons
So when everything changed, it was always there. You just couldn’t see it, killing Rom was the story catalyst but you could also gain the ability to see it earlier if you amassed 40 insight. The thing I don’t think Jev realizes is that we aren’t CoD fans where you need to keep making quick form videos constantly to keep them entertained, the videos can be literally 3 times the length and we will happily watch and like it.
Don't forget to go to the area down the stairs to the right from where you killed Vicar Amelia, like many many people are saying. The boss there is optional, easy, and provides you with access to Caryll Runes which are the talismans of this game. It's a big game changer.
Is he equipping blood gems? I have not been paying full attention ngl. Because I am replaying the game with him started the day before him which was hilarious imo and trying not to spoil myself. Since it's been a good 7-8 years.

Not really. Unless you need more bullets, and you don't, or you need more stamina, and again you really don't. Only rune that actually does anything is the one that let's you use the kos parasite, the magic fist tentacles in the dlc. Beat the game at lvl 1 with a lvl 1 cane while drunk It's nothing compared to niohs difficulty. Bloodborne is my favorite game, you can beat it with just ranged weapons like the flamesprayer and the other sprayer, or go pure blood, I've even watched a mad lad beat the game with karate

Ludwig's holy blade is a two handed weapon meaning you can't use the gun while in the greatsword mode, however using the greatsword mode will replace the L2 button with a new combo.
Jev was so close to 36k .all you had to do was go down the ladder where you fell fall down the drop and you should see a door with a massive pit. Fall to your left on a hidden platform. Fallow the wires. Keep falling and you should be in a hidden place and a chest with an armour set that sells for 36K
5:15 This is one of my favorite rants from Jev lol. I swear there's an epidemic of souls veterens who just completely forget what their first playthrough was like and have no sense of what the game feels like to a beginner of the series.
no some are upset because he is just boss rushing instead of exploring more areas for better gear. if you explore, you fight bosses and get important upgrades. They are mad because he is playing like it's his third run, instead of naturally like if you played it for the first time. I don't care too much but I get it.

The area you missed near Amelia’s arena is a must, it has a really important mechanic and has an amazing vial farm spot
Just some info, the guy that goes ahh ah before Rom is the guy from the skull in vicar Amelia’s cutscene that says fear the old blood, super important for the lore (I can’t remember why though, something to do with insight). If you hit him he drops the EYE rune. You can’t equip this yet because you need to pick up the right tool. You get the tool by going right from vicar Amelia’s boss room (when spawning at the lamp) and going to the optional boss people are mentioning. Hope this helps! Edit: small corrections

8:02 The thing at the top of the screen is the Frenzy meter I believe the highest insight you have, the more this bar will fill and you can reduce your insight into the hunter’s dream by buying stuff. Stay below 15 if possible.
Jev its alright to take some time to explore man, this game isnt like elden ring where exploring means a repeat boss and an item that may or may not be useful to your build, your time in this game will not be wasted by exploring in bloodborne. The optional side boss when you go the other way from vicar amelia will get you a very useful item. Thats just my advice tho man, play the game however you wanna play it and dont worry about nothing else, we're still gonna love this series regardless dude so keep it up!

One thing is left for you past the forbidden woods you can find the witches of himwick which is an optional boss but will provide you the ability to use the runes you have found which can be a massive help if you don't want to farm as much
The phantasm shell you got is pretty much a reusable fire paper but instead of giving your weapon fire damage it will give it arcane damage.

If you want to quickly farm blood echoes there's a super easy way with the chalice you got from killing BSB, there's a specific chalice dungeon you can use to farm. Also don't finish the game until you do DLC, beating the final boss will kick you straight into NG+

Lore time Jev! Rom wasnt just a spider, Rom was a student then tranformed into a kin from a group of creatures called the great ones (specifically one called the moon presence). She is one of very few instances that a human became something much more and greater. The cut scene after the amila fight, master William (the guy in the chair) said "our eyes are yet to open" Rom job was to protect the eldritch secrets from humans, you killed her which broke the blood moon vail hence why it turned blood red and so did the sky. This has been a very fun/funny series. not sure if I've ever commented before, but I'm a long time fan and i just enjoy watching people enjoy games.
By the way jev there is path towards the left in that area you were farming echos or runes. In this area is a cave and ladder in that cave which takes you to a secret room where the game first started you off. In this small secret area there is an item called the Cainherst Summons. This can take you to the best area in the game with a great boss and the Chickage (idk if I spelled that right) which is a phenomenal weapon, it’s a katana basically. Now after you get the summons if you go to a big grave stone in the Witches Hemwick idk look it up it’s worth it.

quick tip on the enemies who have grab attacks, you should spam dodge when they grab you, it'll get you out of the grab attack faster

Weapons that become two handed when transformed gain new movesets when you press L2, so keep that in mind with Ludwig holy blade, and also it's one of the few weapons that has a follow up R2 when transformed, which deals a ridiculous amount of damage ! Keep that in mind Love your videos jev !!

By the way there are a couple optional places that you'll completely miss in your playthrough if you don't already know about them. the easiest one is the giant monster in the end 16:09 that tried to grab you will actually teleport you to an optional region because you have the tonsil stone, the second one you go to the grand cathedral and you head right after exiting the gate. and my favourite one is the cainhurst castle which you will need to google for yourself after finishing with the second optional place since you can't really explain it without a youtube guide
This thing at the top is Frenzy, it’s tied to your Insight. The higher your insight, the more effecting Frenzy is. I suggest keeping your insight below 10. I keep it under 5. You can also use armour and other items to increase Frenzy resistance.

The new area you unlocked after rom is to the right of Amelia. There’s also 2 optional areas to the left. One of these areas has some of the best armours and weapons. However you need a letter to get there which can be acquired from the clinic at the start of the game. To get there you need to locate the ladder in a cave in the forbidden woods.
Cainhurst Castle armour has hands down the best drip in the game.

I must warn you about the Ludwig's Holy Blade. While it is a very powerful choice and a very viable weapon, it's not very interesting to keep using. If you use that and only that sword for the rest of the game you will probably end up finding your combat loop repetitive due to its rather limited moveset. It's generally been considered the easy choice since it just does so much physical damage and tends to stagger since it's a large weapon. I would recommend you experiment with new weapons when you gain access to them, try out the moveset in the Dream and see if it might be something you like. If you like a weapon, check out what stats it scales best with. It will really help your AR and your adaptive combat.

those "giant alien spiders" appear once you kill rom or once you have enough insight to see them, they only show up after you kill rom to keep the game moving but you can see them before if you have enough insight

Nah I read your tweet, nothing to be sorry for lol. You just want him to share a similar experience to you, nothing wrong with that. And you weren't even as rash as he made it seem. I LOVE jev, have watched him since he had like 200k or so, grew up watching this guy. But he's in the wrong for the way he flamed you. You were very civil compared to other comments I've seen and, in general, most souls fans online. Like, even if he ignored lore, exploring is so much more important to everything else in the game. He doesn't have the rune tool, just NOW got ludwigs sword, and is just generally flying through the game. Missing so much armor, materials, and weapons, not to mention lore. Hurts to watch lol. I'd rather him use a guide if he really doesn't want to wonder around for too long. But to be fair to jev a little, I did two playthroughs and still had to watch vidyas videos about the lore because it really is all over the place and very cryptic. And thats for every soulsbourne game, but especially so in bloodborne, I feel. Lol this is really long now so my bad, but since you're passionate about the game too, I doubt you'll mind.

hi jev some tips to help improve youre gameplay, my first tip is while the ludwig blade in the greatsword form is strong the straight sword version is also really good and i reccomend using that a bit more to help with some of the fighting and interactions with bosses, my second tip is the "frenzie" affect wich is what the status effect was when you got youre face hugged if you let that meter build up all the way it will kill you it is like the madness debuff from elden ring.
Jev you can use the CUMMMFPK dungeon if you’re low on bloodvials and bullets, it gives you 70k blood echoes in a minute. I usually do the dungeon so I don’t need to farm for bullets and heals. You can use it if you want but if you don’t want to then it’s not a big deal. Either way try to explore the main story dungeons since they give you INSANE loot like high tier bloodgems and high tier runes.
Why would he do that? Obviously its better to continue rushing through areas, missing upgrades and armor and all sorts of shit, just to get to the boss and complain the whole time as he gets destroyed from being underleveled as a result of rushing past every enemy because he refuses to fight them and get blood echoes. Clearly the smarter choice

hey Jev, glad you're liking this game so much. just wanted to give my 2 cents real quick. since you're such a fan of strength builds in fromsoft games, i highly recommend using the Kirkhammer. you get it from the same place you got the holy blade. it scale mainly on strength, fits your very aggressive, heavy hitting playstyle, and hits like an absolute truck. hopefully this can help you in your journey, i sure know it did for me. all the good vibes dude and keep up the amazing work.
Hey jev just a heads up, if i recall correctly in the forbidden woods there's like a house with one of those red lanterns and dog cages behind of it, if you go behind there's a tunnel system that leads down to an underground poison swamp, from there you can go up a ladder and end back up behind the building where you started the game, find another ladder, climb up the rooftops and find the window to iosefka's clinic which is above the room you start in. There's an item you can pick up that allows you to travel to a new secret location when you take it to the other path next to vicar amelia's door

now would be a great time to go through both Hemwick charnel lane and the nightmare frontier. To get to the Hemwick charnel lane you go out of amelias boss room and facing OUTWARDS of amelias boss room take a right. Completing this area will give you a tool that allows you to equip runes which are sort of like the great runes from elden ring except less powerful (but you get 3 of them) your gonna need these to beat the game. To get to the Nightmare frontier facing Outwards of amelias room, go left and follow the path all the way down until you get into a sort of chamber room. Let an alien grab you there and from there on its straightforward. This area is more or less optional, but is very fun.

Try finding the witches of hemvick and then get on the carriage to a whole new area. Both of these are optional but have some nice loot and a great for leveling and in the castle theres an amazing boss.
idk if you'll see this jev but in terms of farming the bloodviles in central yarnham you can use your hunters mark, the echos the ogres will drop is so low at the point that you're at its more efficient to just respawn and lose the 1k souls instead of running back and teleporting then teleporting again. hope that helps you farm quicker :)

The symbols like communion and metamorphosis are buffs you have to equip beside the weopon upgrade bench, walk past it to stone table in front of the statue. One of hem gives extra blood echoes, I believe it's about 30%. So worth it

Hey Jev. If you hold more than 15 insight, some enemies start to receive buffs/new attacks. It also makes the game slightly harder, because you get debuffs as well. Like reducing your Beasthood stat, or being more vulnerable to the Frenzy ailment (basically bleed from Elden Ring). You have 27 by the end of the video. You should look more into it ;-;
the monsters spawning and the sky changing ect is to kinda show how you character is opening his eyes on the idside and seeming the great ones
Jev, i've heard you complaining about farming blood vials for a while now and i have a quick tip for ya. Whenever you don't have enough blood echoes to level up or upgrade anything then i might suggest buying blood vials in the little shop. Whenever you have over 20 vials in you inventory and you pick up or buy some they'll move over to your storage. The next time you die or return to the hunters dream they'll go into your inventory.

Hey Jev! A couple items that are going to be your best friend is beast pellets ( helps with damage ) and fire paper!!! Dealing damage after you consumed a beast pellet will show a meter that will fill up the more you attack. Also there's a system in bloodborne called "limb break". So when fighting a beast with arms and legs you'll target the limbs and when you break the limb, it'll cause a stagger allowing a visceral attack and attacking the broken limb will deal extra damage!! Hope this info helps!
i also think you should go for the true ending. Im not trying to spoil anything but make sure you obtain at least three umbilical cords and consume them all
Boys I finally beat Ebreitas, however I did use Co-op to beat this boss for the first time. So take that into consideration. I did however beat every other boss solo, most of which I did without any cheese and at an appropriate level, BB was my first Souls and most of the bosses I faced were in that playthrough with the exception of Logarious who I slayed in NG+. The boss I did cheese was the One Reborn. Rom first phase, and shadows of Yahrnam last phase. I beat Elden Ring and I beat AC6 3 times and I beat every non dlc Bloodborne boss and that was my intro to the genre. It's safe to say I could solo Ebreitas if I really wanted to. Not the worst boss but not the best in BB either. Technically harder than Logarious but not in a good way. I'd recommended jev fight Logarious then Ebreitas right before the final 1-2 bosses (depends on ending). The location of those final bosses will be in a familiar place (Hint; without spoilers).

I cant remember if its available for you yet but you need to use the talismans that you are getting as they give you some elite boosts and please use the empty phantasm shell, its a weapon boost

The little swirly icon when you get attacked by those dragon fly looking creatures, that’s frenzy and it will take a certain percentage of your health when the bar is full. And also your insight is tied to how fast and how much damage frenzy does
Where you find the badge for the fake ludwig sword: when you go downstairs instead upstairs for the badge, you can drop to a secret room with a treasure. Sell the stuff you find there and you get a lot of echoes
dude, I just noticed, all this time, Jev forgot the powder keg hunter badge up near the machine gun in old Yharnum, that badge lets you buy VERY powerful weapons, also, I recommend using the Kirkhammer, and the Stake driver you can purchase from getting the powder keg hunter badge.
