Supercharged LT4 Powered Chevelle's Built to Drive Hard!
The 2 Chevelle's you see here are the first couple of "production" Chevelle's from Ironworks Speed & Kustom and they are truly wonderful. Built to look really good but mostly built for the simple joy of driving a well built muscle car. Speedtech Performance chassis, supercharged LT4 power, choice of 6 speed manual or 10 speed automatic and everything you want and nothing that you don't so sit back and enjoy the ride...

I was super excited until he said ($375k - $450k) finished. “Whattttt you talking about Willis” 🙄
Lots of profit if 3/4 of the people working on it are naturally talented good with their hands low wage Mexicans
@@Robert-hp8pm That price is literally “Super Car” prices.
remember that's not including paint n body....also they said it wont be a show car...it will be "production" Jesus with 500k honestly you can buy 2 nice ones from some dude getting divorced for that much 😂
Smoking crack. $60k tops
"Whattttt you talking about Willis" 😂😂😂 The younger folks might not know what you're talking about.
Noticed the black Chevelle has a 1970 front end and a 1971 rear end.🤔
I noticed too,
Thank you. I noticed something off, and that is exactly it
Yes that is correct. I also have noticed that combo in several big movies. I believe one of the movies is a John Wick!!
For nearly 1/2 million dollars, you'd think it would be accurate...😮
@@05gtdriver True but I’m guessing the owner and others like the two years mixed.
Love the 70 headlights with the 72 tails I've always wanted to do that!
I love both of these Chevelles, and this idea. But $345-500,000 pushes it way outside of the range of many including me. And it looks like they have the 71-72 rear bumper on the 70?
Love the Chevelles. Good to see a 1971. Seems like 99.99% of Chevelle builds are always 1970’s which I do love but the 1971 has a killer look and this one has a Sleeper look. Both Chevelles are stunning but great look to the 1971. As always great episode and great cars. Thank you
Kudos to these guys for doing this! And thanks for covering it
Classic builds nowdays are getting too crazy in terms of costs
Agreed but it adds up
Exactly , Think I'll just keep mine stock ! Cutting in on my Beer 🍻 Money ! 😂😂🔥🔥✌️👍👍✈️✈️
I was buying these cars CHEAP in the 90s and got more miles driven and fun out of them then these guys paying big bucks ever will. None of mine were garage queens
@@BruceLee-xn3nn yeah I’m not a big fan of guys putting modern power plants on these cars. Takes away from the nostalgic-ness of the cars.
Just brilliant. Hats off to the builder. How cool to put modern LT4 and 10s trans in this chassis. Thanks for sharing...my era.
This two-door Chevelle is one of my all-time favorites. Beautiful styling and lots of room inside. I just wish it wouldn't take so much money to modernize these cars but it does.
I wish the same thing!
that burgundy color rendering was FIRE
Love Chevelles, love custom chassis, love Shawn's taste in cars! Thanks for keeping the bar high. Cheers
Thank you!
My grandfather had the same color on what I think was a '72 Malibu (I could be wrong) and seeing this car brought back some great memories.
I love how it's not placed on some way over the top rims, but keeps it looking extremely cool, yet subtle. COOL car!
The look is simple but the mechanical and drivability is far from it
@@AutotopiaLA Exactly. I will never call it a sleeper. You can tell by the rear tire, that this machine is meant to go! You should think twice testing this machine on a red light, that is for damned sure! But those subtle rims. None of the above, nore are they below. It just fits the car nostalgic wise, know what I mean? No showboating here, but it'll kick you ass from here to the moon. WHAT! a car! What a car! Absolutely B.E.A.!
I was absolutely on board until that price holly sh*t i get it adds up but damn, so much you can do with a fraction of the price and have a fantastic driving and looking ride.
Machine this, machine that. Stop machining everything. I could reduce the cost of that thing buy $100,000 easy and it would still be a great car.

I’m a Ford guy but the Chevelle is one of my favorite Chevys. What they are doing is amazing I would love to own one. Real nice Sean 👍✌🏾
I am GM guy that works for Ford, but loves the old Chrysler's! The Chevelle is a American legend from 64-72! My grandfather had a 70 SS Cranberry red with black stripes and saddle interior! 396 TH400 12 bolt and 4:10 gears!
I had a 68 Malibu, I know, not the speed demon or the collector car but Hay, I traveled all over Baja, nice big car to sleep in and the 307 got great gas mileage and can get parts anyplace. We could fit 4 friends in the trunk and 2 cases of beer for the drive in movies. Sold it in 92 for $1,200 bucks!😭 I think about the car and great times we had quite often and wish I had it today!💯❤ ....Thanks for the upload!👍
Love the option of an IRS. Great job guys.
Absolutely great car. But 500,000? 😳
Things are only gonna get worse.....once we Let hamburger flippers earn 15 to 20 N hour every one else got raises too..... including these custom guys.
When you’re trying to make good profit as a restomod shop in CA…
WOW!!! Amazing job & I am totally impressed
So glad to see you giving Vicious the recognition she deserves again.
Just wait til you see 2.0!
Beautiful both, old school machines!👏👏❤
Someone give this guy his flowers... man hat tip from me. This is proper. More shops should do the same thing. Find that line/chassis of car they love, and bring them into the future for the next generations experience and be inspired from.
You always get me on here when you show a Chevelle. I love his business model....hope it pays out and he makes a bunch of them. Would be cool if he also sold some of the parts like the gauge cluster.
I’m curious to see if he ends up selling the parts they’re making
A big shout out to the guys at Ironworks as Roger and the guys are killing it and once again thank you for creating such great content.
Chevelle's are my favorite of all time . This calls for a double dose of THANK YOU !!!
Your welcome
I love that gold ‘71 Chevelle Sleeper! Even the wheels are perfect with the hub caps! I would love to see a dark metallic green with green interior and green vinyl top too! 😎
Finally a video where the Builder discusses rough ideas of the costs involved.
We used to talk costs but lots of owners and builders get uncomfortable especially with the $$ involved
@@AutotopiaLA It's 5am Pacific Time. You're up early.
I dig this style with the steelis and white tires with the proper stance. Just killer! That single headlight Chevelle is smoking.
I’m sure there are people out there with that kind of money, and I say God bless you and go for it! I’m waiting on my lotto tickets lol
I hear ya!
I really like his switches. Will be looking to see if I can get some when I’m ready.
Those are sweet rides
6:58 love that clip, that's me, they don't make cars roomy enough to fit me. I love the work they do!
Roger is freakin hilarious! 😂 This is an awesome video! Roger and his guys are the freakin best! I love the attention to detail he takes into consideration. This is the Definition of a Restomod!! Man if I could I’d totally get one. Everything just seems proper. Way to go, Hats off 🎩
Agreed and wish I had the $$ to have one for daily driving
That’s a real nice ride…wow!
Super clean builds!!!
love these 2 chevelles. thats how things should be.
Its Farva again! Great cars, great content as always.
19s and 20s, never liked them but on this car with the black wheels and caps you can’t tell. Love it!
Excellent, I love the Black Chevelle as it's been done totally right, 1970 front lights and 1971 tail lights looks as it should have been from the factory.
Yes, perfect!!
I’m not a Chevy guy but these cars are spectacular and fun
I like everything! It all makes sense!
I really enjoy when you showcase builders like these guys, Roadster Shop etc. it is amazing to learn about the whole build as well as getting a peak into the business model of the owners. Keep it up Shawn.
Right lol he was trying to make it sound like it’s 20-30 grand at first. And turns out it’s a house.
just an amazing ride ..long road trips ,cross country and back..on countryside twisty roads..
Awesome review
Aside from the cost , which I totally understand given the work involved , this is how these older classics need to be built . Trends come & go but leaving a car as close to the way it came from the factory with modern safety comfort & performance upgrades is something that never goes out of style.
Ive been keen on the Nova and Chevelle recently. This concept looks outstanding. Sadly, that price point will leave many of us ol school car lovers out of that equation.
The price is big but what a cool concept
That console is CrAzy brother. You guys did a bang up job with the design of that, the shape, the style, Really great job! I rarely see redesigned consoles that look clean
thx
These are fricken awesome!
Amazing car .. definitely will be getting the bad ass shirt and hat .. thanks again Shawn and crew .
Thanks and just wait til you see Vicious 2.0! Just shot it and wow!!
@@AutotopiaLA can’t wait guys .. every episode is always amazing.. thank you
Wicked cool...so much want right there Sean!
Same for me….massive want!
Great informative video!! Beautiful job on the cars too. I’d love to have my 71 chevelle done like this but a tad expensive. Thinking about just doing the drive train part and leave the stock interior and paint as is
Love it man nice cars guys keep it up
I would love to own one of these, I love Chevelles and these look like solid renditions, just wish I could afford to buy one. lol
With those cars You should make 2nd part of Bullitt movie. Great job. Greetings
Sleeper mode.. excellent job.. 💯🇺🇸😎🌪🌎🔊
Need more like this with classic cars trucks
At 17 I had a 72 Sleeper similar to the 71 in the video. White with a light blue vinyl top, and light blue bench seat interior, column shift. Steel wheels with the rears custom made 1 inch larger diameter and 2 in wider. Basic full wheel hubcaps. Built 396. Turbo 400 trans. Total sleeper. Shocked the hell out of almost everyone that revved at a stop light. Only problem was even with the custom rear wheels, I got no grip at full throttle.
Nothing better then a 1970 chevelle but this 71 is pretty awesome. Love the look of the dog dish rims.
That 71 looks so cool
Love Chevelle’s.
Dude, Shawn, this thing is AWESOME!!!!!! I am not the biggest fan of vinyl roofs but this really brings this car togehter! I absolutely love this car! The look, the paint, the stance, F-ing everything! This thing is RAD!!!!!!!!! I won't lie, I love the exterior more than the interior, but like he said, it is still a work in progress. Freaking awesome looking car! As always, love the content dude! Keep up the great work!
The vinyl top is original.
Great cars! That 70 has a 71 rear bumper and taillights tho
For a “production” restomod like this, if they kept the price starting with a 2, I think it’d sell a lot better. 4-500k is what people want for a fully restored one…..
My dream car!
The tapioca/gold one is sick
Definitely
THIS is the Chevelle I WANT. modern underpinnings with that old school look.
Very cool ! I wonder who was the lucky dude to get all the old parts from the gold car😜👍
"you're screwed on cars, you don't fit in shit do ya?" Bahahah, Shawn, I fuckin lost it when you made that comment 🤣🤣 its the little flashes of your personality that make this channel a step above the rest. Genuine. Love it, keep up the hard work brother 🤙🏻
What did we learn here boys and girls? Learn to wrench and build your own and have the satisfaction of knowing you did.

Love it. ❤
That is the look I want to go with on my 1971 Pontiac Lemans GT-37! But on a much different budget.
WHeel vintiques makes them
I had forgotten about the old cars with the antennas embedded in the windshields. I noticed the 2 thin lines running up the center of the windshield.
Clean🔥
Nice chevelle s👍👍
What another great ep Shawn you're doing a great job, I've not long subscribed and I'm playing catch up, what a job you have I wished I'd subscribed earlier
Thanks for finding us! So many amazing vehicles on our channel
Green on green ❤❤
OMG that gold car is the shit!!! Love the COPO caps!
Holy Moses awesome content AZ USUAL keep up the great work . Honolulu Hawaii MANOA VALLEY
Thank you!
I definitely liked the 71..
I have a 68 swb, big window C10. I have absolutely got to put a set of those Forgeline wheels on it like the one's on the gold Chevelle. They look like the old stock wheels, but come in larger diameters and are 3-piece. Then finish them off with the dog dish center cap...ooooohh weeeee!!
I love the 72 CHEVELLE, but can you imagine a Big block, super charged Jeep Grand Wagoneer?
The gold is beautiful on Chevelle thanks for the ride along bud hope you all have a great Halloween 🎃 ok later
At the end of the day it's a chevelle, not my preference on the mods but whatever floats your boat. Sweet ride
Those steelies are mint 🤌
Never been a Chevelle guy.
Sean..........love you guys...always......this vid really appealed to me.....nice builds w/ a budget in mind..I was excited.....but when he said the price point your face dropped..it reaLLY DID////so did mine!!!....400k?........that is nuts. nuts.... 400k w/ orig paint?....and a low key interior?........cmon man.......I was really excited.......this should be a car for 125- 175 man........wow.......wow ...wow... nice looking drivers not show cars....400? wow Now after reading most of the comments , I want to say this asking is really really nuts....nuts.
I GOTTA get me that Vicious merch! 💯. And to all the folks thinking these 6 figure cars are too expensive. Leave your 4 yr college and go learn an actual trade. Maybe then you'll appreciate how much engineering and fabrication goes into building a 1 off car. You can thank me later.
Great comment and the Vicious merch is badass…and wait til you see 2.0! We just did a full shoot yesterday of it!!
Let the salivating begin!🤤
Damn, I want one. Now just need the $. Super cool idea, BADASS!
I like this approach (as a guy without millions at his fingertips). Not the prettiest engine, but it is a performer! 10 speed transmission??? Hell, I'd take that in my Sprinter any day!
Lol!
These guys are crazy, there trying to make this a multi millionaire hobby. Their trying to outdo the greats, Troy, Chip, the Ring Bros.etc with out making a one-off full custom build, but with the same price!!
Hi Shawn, I’ll take the gold 71 with the landau top. Chevelle’s are the easiest cars to work on. Great Videos Thanks 🙏
Gold car is beautiful done right wheels caps ❤
Sweet !!!!!!!!!💯 awesome
You had me at Chevelle
Respect to show quality at car shows but prefer them on the road wizzing past me 👍🏻
Same for me Jay
all my crying and I still love the gold one
Is this better than a $100k Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing? Or even the more expensive German super sedans? It seems super niche, and I hope they get to 20 units.
They sure will... and they'll be sitting in their garage with canceled orders. They're way to much money, even for what went into them.
@@zach_diecast_mansur5:45 They don't make these cars for people like you, his clients have money to burn on multiple cars.
Apples to oranges lol
dont compare it to a current caddy.......its apples vs oranges..........
Badass Chevelle. It won't flood the market either with the price tag attached to it. They are super car prices.
