ABOUT THIS FILM
____________________
Apollo & Athena
These kestrels are now an experienced pair and this is the fourth year they have nested in Ash Wood, a restored woodland habitat.
Six kestrel eggs
This clutch size is quite typical for the pair, although often not all eggs hatch. Last year Athena laid five eggs.
Incubation
Kestrels normally incubate for around 30 days, so we expect to be able to watch the chicks hatch out next month.

Thank you, Robert, for all the time and effort that goes into letting us see such lovely intimate moments with all the stunningly beautiful creatures inhabiting your sanctuary! ❤😊
Congratulations Athena and Apollo ❤❤❤ So looking forward to the days your eggs will hatch! Good luck 🍀🍀🍀
Oh wow fantastic news bless them, they have had it rough, excellent to see a 6th Egg ❤
Thank you, Mr Fuller. Such beautiful eggs! And with six young ones to feed, the kestrels will be very busy.
Athenia is such a gorgeous bird! Those eyes are so sparkly.
I LOVE 💕 Apollo and Athena ! Thank you Robert 🙏
Lets hope they all survive and fledge
So happy they have a safe and wonderful place to take care of all. Ty❤
I would love to see longer videos like you used to on these and other birds. They are a joy to watch. I find I would rather watch these than regular TV programs. 📺. Birds are deliberate in their lifestyle. They don't lie. That's why I love to see them instead. Can that be done, Robert? ❤
The longer videos come at the end of the breeding season, when he has all the footage to put together. Longer videos are usually from previous years, while these short snips are from this year.
Well done, Athena and Apollo!! Congrats for you both, great clutch!! 🙌🤩😍👏😉😃
I adore how Kestrels share incubation duties.
I hope all the eggs hatch successfully and survive their infancy, especially the later three. 🙏
Gonna be a busy pair indeed
Great job Apollo and Athena. Six eggs...I believe you both will be excellent parents !
So exciting! Anticipation is real..🥰
The egg laid to day has to be George ❤😂
Mr George❤
Or St George
Can't wait for the chicks to arrive!
I remember getting excited and surprised when I saw her have 2 eggs, now they have a total of 6! Can't wait to follow her progress
Is Athena big enough to cover all those eggs? 😉
Nice video ❤👏👏👏❤🎉
Greetings it's your regular visitor from Canada I enjoyed last night's live feed of the foxes in the den but I prefer these unique birds of prey thanks 😊
Wow 6! Praying all goes well!
The Kes's are so interesting, not so different than the other birds, in their care and love shown in the nest. Much Thanks to Robert for sharing this with us! from VA.,USA
I hope they all survive!!!
SIX! WOW! YAY! ❤ 🌞 ❤ I feel so excited, 🦅 ❤ looking forward to follow them! May everything go just fine! Blessings and Love, Kestrels❣❣
Thank you for allowing us to see what we could never see! )
Athena has done so well❤
I just wanted to let you know: I started watching your channel having virtually no prior knowledge of birds. Today, after months of being subscribed to your channel, a random short came up in my feed about a baby bird who fell out of a nest, and I was able to identify it as a kestrel without even looking at the comments. So thank you, good sir, for everything you do. It’s been very educational. 😊
❤BEAUTIFUL❤ Brought literal tears of joy down my cheeks😊 Thank you, Robert. 😊
Athena looks so happy! ❤
👏🏻 Athena & Apollo
Apollo always seems more excited about the clutch of eggs than Athena does, lol.
Sadly Mr and Mrs Kes are no longer with us, these are Apollo and Athena.
Mr Fuller, what a wonderful man you are ❤
I just love these beautiful little birds of prey ❤❤
Now I want to see more. 🦅
Check out my Ashwood live stream
Seems only yesterday, a year ago, I was watching Athena lay her eggs. How time has flown (excuse pun). Another year on I get to watch the doting pair of kestrels again, and hopefully another brood fledge. Thank you REF for posting. 😊😊
What dark speckled eggs~
thank you, greetings from austria 👍
Thank you too!
Wow! Is that a record?

Athena! 6 eggs? You go, girl.
Wow I thought she was going to have 4-5 eggs but she laid 6 eggs. Congratulations to Athena and Apollo.
Awesome
I haven’t seen my Kestrel pair in a few days , so I checked the box and found five eggs. Just wait I guess.
Thanks
Thank you so much.
Every day more eggs keep coming🎉
Athena is the fastest at food drops lol
Wonderful 👍 sri lanka 🇱🇰 ❤️
Mooi
They're going to be busy
That is going to be a lot of mouth’s to feed!!!
Is Apollo and Athena the kestrel couple that the mum disappeared the one year?
No that was a different pair. Mr and Mrs Kes.
@@mirandamartin4001 thank you, I totally forgot who was who
It’s ok. Your welcome
@Robert E Fuller is it rare for Kestrels to have 6 eggs? Don't they normally have abt 4? 😊🙏💜🙏💜
Normally 5 eggs sometimes 6 and I have seen 7 once
@@RobertEFuller thank you sir! Blessed day!
that's a lotta eggs
♥️🌞
Let's hope it's better spring this time. Remember a lot of worms last year. Hopefully plenty of mice, rats, & lizards for them.
Very interesting.God is Great

@@m53goldsmith No problem. Have a nice day.😃
🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🎉❤
Wonderful, hope the pesky Jackdaws stay away.
So what does Jenny do now? Apollo has his claws full....
🥰🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I thought/hoped Apollo left Athena for Jenny?
It wasn't Apollo. A wild one mated with Jenny.
@@AC-ni4gt Apollo did seem like he was having an affair though, if you check the video from 3 weeks ago right before the one where she mated the new male, Robert identified the one with her as Apollo. The video's even named "Kestrels Are Mostly Monogamous, Except When They're Not | Jenny & Apollo"
@@Dezolate I saw it myself and commented on the newer male. Mr. Fuller corrected me when I thought it was Apollo.
Apollo don't have a tagged ring. The new male Jenny met have a tagged ring. Kestrels typically are monogamous and some pairs remain together across years.
🎉😂🎉🎉
Too much eggs
