A man was told to get on the ground by police while his wife was in labor. The husband tried to explain that they were rushing to the hospital, but the cop just wouldn't listen. #InsideEdition

The same thing happened to us and we ended up getting a police escort but my husband pulled over immediately

When you're being pulled over you pull over no matter what. The cop probably would've given them an escort if they had stopped and told the officer what was happening. You shouldn't talk about things you know nothing about.

Ok so your the cop and you see someone speeding down the road in the middle of the night, probably drunk or high and might have a gun. He doesn’t pull over for awhile so you know somethings up. When he finally pulls over you get your gun out and tell him to get on the ground all while fearing for your life. He does what you say and then starts to get up telling you his wife is in labor. You don’t listen to him as he is resisting your orders and you never let someone do that as it is dangerous for you. When he calms down and tells you about the situation you call and ambulance and the baby is delivered and the husband goes to jail for a short amount of time for resisting a cops orders. I see nothing wrong with the cop here people just twist everything against them. If the man had stopped sooner and followed directions the wife would be in the hospital faster and he might have been able to see his baby.

Doesn't really matter if she is or not... it's a crime to refuse to pull over. The reason the cop made him go onto the ground in the first place was that he didn't pull over at first. I'm sure if he pulled over immediately and explained the situation to the policeman at the window of his car, things would have gone a lot differently.

The 911 dispatcher should call the police department and ask the commanding officer to fire the cops in this video for NOT treating the then-pregnant woman with dignity and respect.

When my mom’s water broke to have my sister my dad was speeding and got stopped by a cop but luckily when the cop found out what was going on he turned his siren on so we can follow him to the hospital without traffic

I'm a Veteran and a supporter of law enforcement but this was a clear violation of the couple's rights. Thankfully a judge agreed and allowed them to sue the police department. They ended up settling out of court but at least they were compensated.
