Those squirrels are braver than I am. I wouldn't be that close to the cobra. Then again, ground squirrels are super quick. And yes, I also think the bird at the end was making fun of the snake.

Day light belongs to the squirrels. Come night fall the cobra has a better chance at a squirrel dinner. That is why these little guys risk everything to get that snake as far from their dens as they can. According to Darwin a lot of squirrels with slightly smaller tails weren't so lucky.

Why do they do it? Is it for their own entertainment? Do they want to frustrate the cobra he leaves? Why not just avoid him and not risk getting bit?
