I made mistakes in my review: 1. There are multiple aspirations for being either a good or bad vampire. 2. You can change outfits for normal form and vampire form by unlinking them.
you can actually prevent vampires coming to your house, clicking on the front door and disabling vampire visitors
Hi Satch, I love your videos but I also love Vampires and there are a few other things you left out of your review. 1: There's a Vampire Lore skill, it had 15 levels and eventually you can make a drink to cure Vamprism. 2: Vampires can and will break into your house to feed on your Sims if you leave your door unlocked at night. 3: There's a drink you can make for your Vampires that allows to regain energy in the sun so your Vampire can be a daywalker. I'm sure there are a few others things I might be forgetting but I think that's most of it. Keep up the good work and make more awesome videos for us. :)
With the Spa Day refresh, there is a mask that allows vampires to gain energy from the sun. You know, some of that cross pack compatibility I'm always wanting.

I played both Sims 3 and Sims 4. I enjoy both, but Sims 3 is better for me, although Sims 4 has some things that the Sims 3 does not.
You need to unlink the dark form and normal form to change the outfit

The game having no consequences really zaps the fun out of this pack. You can be as evil and murderous as you want and all you will get is a periodic text admonishing you lmao.
Yeah being family friendly really ruins ts4. There is a modder called Zer0 who made great mods for all occults and his vampire ones are especially nasty, not only did he make a vampires can kill mod but also more elaborate dark vampire overhauls where they can for example keep 'cattle' (essentially human slave sims to feed on). I don't know if he has updated all his mods for the newest game version but I used to play a lot with his stuff to make evil occults actually evil ^^'
@@Nirax3I wanted to have one sim (in a family of 2, which eventually became 4 when they both got married) be kind of evil behind the scenes without the other sims knowing, but there was no way to really do that as an action in the game, so when I wanted to pick an NPC I didn’t like to keep as a sort of “cattle,” I made an entire basement with multiple rooms that would facilitate all the human needs just to achieve it. So much work for a kind of simple concept 🥲 And even being evil got bland… I got bored of just keeping those sims like that, so I got rid of all the stuff for one and just let them die because it felt like a sim’s cruelty was so limited… And also not even technically their own. A sim doesn’t actively build anything, I do. Which sucks. I really wanted to be able to have vampires with different ways of living-I wanted one to do things the nice way, always asking to drink, never trying to be mean, and I wanted the other to be like secretly evil towards certain people, but… The extent to which you can pursue character depth in that way is very very small in the sims ;-; What I’m saying is, I HAVE to check out that guy’s work, because I need more flavor in my game!
@@sakurasensations4786 I do the same thing! It's a bit of a struggle because when you leave the lot they despawn, but oh well, you just call them or cheat them back in.
Is it bad that it works on me 💀 I'm playing a mean sim rn for the first time and I feel so bad anytime I get one of those messages saying I upset someone 😂
Packs like these are why I wish they would do more freakin refreshes already. It's so good and just needs a bit more tweaking to add elements from other packs. Amp the world up to make it more interesting, some more unique interactions and stuff for all the ages would make such a huge difference!

I don't know if someone let you know, but in an update you can use the front door to keep vampires away plus you can become immune to garlic with one of the power points 😂 there's so much about the occults
Having vampires come to you door, break in and wreak havoc with your (ordinary) sims orderly life cycle is one of the best bits about the pack to me. It is one of the few random events that affect your sims negatively, a tad of chaos in an otherwise very bland and orderly game.
the vampires keep coming to my house but they never come inside even when the door is unlocked JUOAJD ILF it gets on my nerves like i want something different to happen to my sims for once but they just go home after a few minutes of standing outside omfg
@@areeba7045 I think the vampire break in was nerfed a few patches ago, because some players felt uncomfortable about it. There are mods that will reinstate the attacks. They are not particularly common though, but researching vampires will bring up the likelihood.
@@p.bckman2997 I wont lie, I refused to buy it because it couldn't be turned off. If it can be now then I may consider it. I respect that some simmers want more "random and crazy" and I do to...but not for EVERY sim file...some I just want to be "normal" lol
@@queenstixxzz , unless you use a mod to specifically allow vampire break-ins, it won't happen now. Heck, even _with_ the mod I have a hard time provoking a brake-in, despite doing all the typical preparations to make it happen. I think you can safely buy the pack now if you want the BB and CAS.
I love how you can also remove the teeth and make vampires gag up food, like a ghoul from Tokyo Ghoul. Had alot of fun with the vampires on Sims 4. Definitely the strongest iteration.
I also hope they carry this detail over in Sims 5. Life states definitely need more love.
Another cross pack compatibility is with Cats&Dogs. If a vampire becomes a veterenarian when he uses the surgical machine he can extract a plasma pack from the animal. It is kinda dark, but it can be done.🦇
This sold me on the pack. It’s 13.99 (on sale for a bit longer) and I love playing with cats and dogs, which I recently got on sale too.
The only thing i find annoying is random ppl being in the vampire world as if it's totally normal. Also they could have added things for toddlers. I think ea should update some older packs just like this one. Still one of my favourite packs if not my favourite.
i like them there bc its convenient for me to drink plasma. im not willing to go to other worlds/places bc of the loading screens 😭
This comment is 2 months old, but I'll take a shot: there is a mod that keeps sims in their designated world. You might occasionally see random sims walking around, especially if you have story progression on and they get random kids or move in, but it solves the problem quite well. I don't think it prevents vampires from turning at your door, though.

You could turn on "Vampiric Run" permanently. I think it was one of the settings by clicking your sim. Running is ironically faster than teleporting.
You missed 2 of the vampire aspirations - Family Vampire (under the family group) and Good Vampire (under the popularity group) which helps make it more in depth and you can make your vampire follow different paths
I personnally think its the best occult pack, maybe tied with werewolves. I which the world had more though

I figured unlike with werewolves the vampire form is like a creature switch. Sort of how buffy vampires or True blood vampires work. Which makes the clothing switch make no sense in most cases. And it being mostly YA makes sense because that's where vampires are all aged. I love the build/buy. So much. Besides the "Why is the coffin so *big* in area" issue. One thing I must point out that I really appreciate. Vampires have some of the most expensive, and I think some of the most environmentally boosting, items in the game. I think that is just on point with them. On Gameplay. I do wish there was an on off switch for the vampires coming but honestly the fact there's only three and all three of them are really charming sims I appreciate. I mean two are because they're train wrecks, - coughs- LilithAndVlad -coughs - but I adore Caleb. This is one of my favorite packs so I just wanted to make sure to give a huge comment point by point. lol. Also I get it. I love the pack but I feel constrained by just having not only the same three but also the world sucks.
I was about to say you can unlink most of the occult forms to change their clothes and appearance from their regular sim form lol And there are more aspirations, a total of three actually

Making you choose a weakness was a great idea and even it though the probability of this happening is close to zero. I wish they added a strength/weakness to your personality traits in Sims 5

Again, lacks replay value, you can complete the vampire skill tree in less than a day and that's it, no consequences. This needs a refresh and more lore added to it tbh.
Yes, but if you want to have all the powers, it really takes a long time, because once you are a grand master you earn points slower. So it doesn't really stop once you reached the top :)
Vampires has a special place in my heart, it was one of my first packs and I was so excited when I bought it and so obsessed with it. I've spent many many days on it. That being said I'm probably more easy to impress with it from memories but I love this pack.
You can also MAKE plasma pack from frogs and fish! very fun and also pretty helpful in terms of money since you can turn a 12 simoleon fish into a 50 simoleon plasma pack! (also you can click on your front door and disallow vampires)
I bought this pack just for the build/buy items, they are so good and I like the victorian style too.

This world is garbage, and I had so many ideas for what it SHOULD have been. More lots. One a gothy and spooky Nightclub where alt Sims and the Occult could mingle. One for a Starter home. The others could be the families that make the Vampire community. Vladdy Daddy would be the highest level Vampire, and obviously Evil. The Sister/Brother combo could have been his rivals, and Good. They could have had an Addams Family family, with close but not exact names from the show. They could have had a "totally not Vampires" Vampire family who tried to blend in with the Humans. They could have had a family with a rebel teen who wanted to go against the Vampire lifestyle and be Cured. And lastly, they could have had a VAMPIRE HUNTER NPC. Someone to be seen tracking down the Vampires throughout the world, causing a ruckus with the other families, and then actually targeting you. You'd have to protect yourself by blending in or having some way of making protection charms/potions against the Vampire Hunter. The "killing" of a Vampire could literally just be the Hunter finally winning in a fight and Curing you. But instead we get.... This. This world is so disappointing.
Well its a game pack world , what did you expect? A world the size of my wedding Stories? At least this game pack has good gameplay and its not a glitchy mess like my wedding stories was....Honestly IT was the most glitch that i've ever seen out of this sims game.
My guess is you prefer the Vampire World is the Sims 3, which has all of those. I liked it too, but I do not mind this one which is more reserved, like the stereotypical vampire.
@@Ascend777 No, but that's because I don't like the Occult in any Sims game. I play for more realism, typically. But the Sims 3 world is better, simply because it does offer things to do in it. Obviously, it's open world, so more massive lol But the least EA could have done was already do what they have for the Werewolf world recently. I don't know why they held back the tech they've always had for so long, when people who do like the Occult could have had much more things to actually play with back then
@@nyxnightmare3542 Maybe it was too much work for them. Building a Sim game from scratch wasn't the best move on EA's part. It would had been better if they upscale Sims 3 by adding more sliders, options, and whatever. I personally think the Sims 3 was upscaled from the Sims 2, and the Sims 4 was built from scratch. Or, at least it felt that way.
I don’t mind the size of the world but I wish it had more details like non vampire characters (eg Bob pancakes) acted scared for example
You can click the door place no trespassing and disallow vampires
The reason there is not annything for toddlers is becuz this pack was released before they were added

there are 3 aspirations for vampires, the master one, then a 'vampire family' one and then a 'good vampire' one
This is my favourite pack. When I start a regular human family, every time I reach the second generation I'm knocking on daddy Caleb's door to request a husband and a transformation. I am also planning on doing a remake of the Forgotten Hollow AND make Vlad turn and marry Agnes. Very fun pack. A 10 out of 10 for me.

I love this pack and use the build buy and cas a lot but not even necessarily playing with vampires that much. (I'm not interested in having a sim live forever lol I like generation play) the world could have been so much more. Seeing how great the werewolves world is.... I think that if they ever redid a world I would love for forgotten hallow to be fixed to have a more dynamic townsquare
I wish there was a chance when you drink deep you accidentally kill the sim. Or you could kill the sim by drinking deep from the same sim too regularly.
Not sure if it's the same for PC but on the PS4 you can click on your front door, click trespassing button, disallow vampires and this will bar vampires from bothering your sims in other worlds. It seems even stronger than just barring them from your door as when I have disallow enabled a vampire won't even come onto my sim's lot even when invited over.
I love these videos and watch them all. So I never thought I’d buy vampires and only had a small inkling to get werewolves. However, when the spooky bundle was released I couldn’t resist a deal. I’ve been playing as a vampire a couple of days and so far I just don’t get the gameplay hype. They’re cool, I guess, but nothing amazing. I may need to dive more into it.

lol i've had this pack since it came out and never once played as a vampire, i've never even let one inside the house. watching this review however, it made me want to try gameplay at least once ;)
I have Sims 4 for PlayStation 4. I wish there were two extra abilities: Turning someone with just a bite, and being able to cast a reflection. I also wish there were more options for eye colors and two more forms: dark form starved, and normal form starved

0:41 You can change the normal outfit and the vampire to be diffent. It has been honestly a basic feature in cas (for occults) for a long time now.
you can tell he's not playing as an occult often, if ever. Most Sims content creators don't. I don't know why

You can totally change their outfit on their dark form, so it be different than the sim form, you have to unlinked the two forms... Also, vampires coming at your door and entering your home is the actual niche thing that happen way to rarely and also, if you click on the front door of your house, you can actually remove vampire visits, like npc wagons etc... so at this point, day and age in the sims 4, there should not be anyone who see vampires getting into their home without the player wanting it. Forgotten Hollow, is whats its supposed to be, and at least there are not ugly empty shell like in so many worlds... but the decor is well detailed and just beautiful with its dark ambiance and quiet. The only thing that bothers me is the townies from other world coming. Yup pipe organ for vampires, nothing for werewolves, except a very strong leading electric guitar vibes from the trailer, there is nothing to see there otherwise...

Actually, you can change the outfits on the forms. You just have to click the button where it says connect vampire and human form together and it’ll show up and then you can change your outfit.
I haven't picked up the sims since I had mentioned my wedding stories was the final nail in the coffin but I still check with your videos to see if I should click on that icon again, so far I know I'll have to deal with updates but I've kept my word as far as not buying anymore. When you told me I had spent $1000 over the years I was wtf I played Ark Survival Evolved longer and didn't pay that much and I have all their dlcs. So my sims is your channel, not EAs

I really enjoyed vampires to start with but I found it a bit repetitive and boring when I got to the second to last level :( But I love the world and the gameplay to start with when you're still learning about everything! I love the CAS, build buy and world too :)
I wish there's another way you can turn into a vampire without really having a high relationship with other vampires or cheats. Like how in the Werewolves, you can turn into a werewolf by provoking Greg. It just adds more storytelling options Also, I just want to add, I feel like the performance should be lower than 9/10. Whenever there's a random generated vampire sim npc, I find it really really annoying when trying to talk to them or seeing them trying to talk with other npc sims, if they have teleportation or flying as a bat powers. Like they will just keep teleporting and teleporting and get stuck in one position. It bothers me alot that i just have to reset them
You can click the front door and turn off vampire appearing at your door in other towns and there’s another aspiration for vampires
The little lock above the vampire form will disconnect the vampire form in the human form. It looks like a little chain and it’s connected. I have to click on it.
You can have them have different outfits, you press the three dots … and you can select what you want to be the same
you can disallow vamps with door settings

For Vampires coming to your home- you can lock the door for vampires only. I've never had any high level vampire use their abilities to get it so it's an option.
Not 100% sure, but I think Vlad could still break in. It took great effort to avoid him.
8:36 For the altering emotions being useless, I kind of disagree. For example I used it to help other sims overcome the fear of the cowplant which also prevents all gardening. First letting them get swallowed again (dont need even more sims getting that fear), then immediately, then have a vampire come in and use burst of confidence on them, and make them milk the cowplant right after. And of course it may be useful for building relationships, or help other sims build skills faster

Few things I don't like about the vampire expansion. Not enough customization options, there should be a third form, and there should be an option to give your vampire a reflection

Fun vampire gameplay idea….. 1. Turn everyone into a vampire and take over the world. 2. You were gifted a human for becoming an adult vampire you slowly fall in love with them then turn them into a vampire and have a family. 3. You meet a mermaid and fall in love expect….. They die and you seek revenge by killing humans as she died from a fishing net you then start attacking other vampires out of your grief. Hope you guys try these

Vampires are my fav pack, and i agree the world is really bad. That empty town square is unforgivable. I like to split my family tree, one side vampire the other werewolf.

You can stop the vampires from visiting your lot by turning it off on the front door
Hey I have a little theory the reason it’s so small in lots is because it’s a tight-nit community and I may have a reason for it being this way (this is not canon to the sims “lore”) so in the 18th century there was a war against vampires because they saw them as disgusting and animalistic while the vampires tried their best to fight them off they succumbed and gave up and went to forgotten hollow and those people died and their kids go to forgotten hollow as a vacation like bob but vlad remembers and all the vampires remember so they take revenge on them and suck there blood
Um…you can change the clothes between vampire form and human form? You have to unlink the two like you would for werewolves (feature has been there literally the whole time)

Drinking plasma as a club activity ignores the recently drank from hindrance.
I also think the word could be more, after werewolves going back to Forgotten Hollow feels meh with no secrets and lore at the same level

Agree with the build/buy score. JUST the organ is a great plus for me. CaS... I don't really care. 1/10 World ? 0.3/10 Game play : 3/10 If I get Vampires, I'd also get that mod that'll turn any spawned vampires back into humans. Performance and cross pack : Can't say.
Can vampire sims wear normal clothes such as Costum Content? To make them look more cool, and not only make them wear this boring vampire pack clothes?

Unlink the forms.
My sim was insulted by a vegetarian so i locked the vegetarian up in a digusting room which made her mad cause she was a clean freak and a snob, only fed her meat and made her look out to the only window in the dungeon where she would watch as her friends and family would die painful deaths. I even added extra relatives to the household and kill them so she would suffer more :) after she died i did this to everone who messed with my sim

I LOVE vampires...but once you've played one vampire, there's not a lot of incentive to play another for a long while.
This pack generally looks pretty good, I'm just gutted how, yet again, children are given next to nothing and toddlers have nothing at all - What???. Don't the Sims team know how we play? Don't we know we all want creepy, toddler and baby vampires only to find out what happens if we try to cross-breed with Grim or Werewolves?! We're all about that weird sh*t! :D
