It's amazing how the burl looks like a topographical map. You could spend hours looking at all the different terrains. Wish I had the money and space for such an impressive table. Beautiful work!
Is this the root of the soan tree?
If the tree was already dead, then it's not going to do anything except stand there and rot.
Too bad you can't even "sit" at this """table""". No leg space. I swear China can't do anything right unless they clone/copy a design. Not one original invention came from there since antiquity.
An absolute must for every workshop, 'Safety Sandals'. A pleasure to watch such skilled people turn out a beautiful piece of work.
They're also wearing hearing protection, to avoid hearing loss and tinnitus, what a skilled bunch.
Where is table now?👍⭐️
I have a pair of safety contacts that I like to wear
Beautiful? Sure. Functional? No. There's nowhere for your legs, your knees are going to be grinding on hard, jagged wood. It's a shot table. This is what happens when artists try to make functional things.
Uau! 👏👏👏
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

He has a lot of skill. I've made a lot of tables, and a few carved ones, but this is pretty special. Of course a table like this is not going to be in anyone's home, (at least not anyone that would ever use it to eat off) but rather in some big office or even a museum. Quite the piece.
😎! So etwas schönes schafft nur die Natur! | So etwas schönes schafft nur die Natur! 😎
Thats the most beautiful table i ever seen in my life made out of real hardwood
Impressive table! The cut-out plugs for voids are a unique touch. I would have added a gloss finish to the entire stump for a more beautiful look. Inspiring work, especially for someone with limited space and budget.
Absolutely mesmerizing! Watching the transformation of that massive tree log into an amazing table was truly inspiring
How gorgeous is that ❤. Wow. I love the pictures you can see in the finished tabletop. A piece of art indeed ❤
A moment of silence for all the sandpaper required to complete this table.
Impressive craftmanship! I would urge to make sure the operator is well protected when handling the vanish chemical.
It's China there are no rules for safety therefore they see no need for safety gloves, footwear, eye protection or even proper tools.
The table is absolutely incredible. The blues tune was even better 👍
Its an amazing work of art! On a practical level, it would be hard to get your feet under the table but perhaps as a specialty desk for an executive?
Not only that, but most places it'd be impossible to bring the table into the room. It looks more suited to some kind of ceremonial space... Awesome result though.
@@gerardvila4685 Preferably in some application that hides those hideous wood plugs in the center as well.
Skilled craftsman. Wonderful work.

Amazing! Looks like a birds-eye view of a desert landscape 💛
Lovely work, and presonally - I like the plugs you did over the resin - shows more craftsmanship. Resin has become a bit clichéd IMHO. While it is a stunning piece (that weights a ton, no doubt), for me, I would probably have cut that beast into 2" thick sections and made a dozen beautiful tables made instead of just one - really getting as much of that beautiful burl on display. In any case - well done and cheers from Sydney - Dave
@@user-qm9mi9fc9s Well, it certainly has a bold presence and makes a very big statement. Cutting them into plates would result in a much more "standard" result. Wonderful work and thanks for sharing! Regards - David

How about leaving space for your legs so your knees aren't grinding against jagged wood? Fucking artists...
So beautiful it brings tears to my eyes.

This wood is unbelievable !
Transforming a giant log into a stunning table by @WoodworkingCraftsman is truly a display of remarkable skill and artistry. Incredible craftsmanship! 🪑🌳
Beautiful terrain, mountains, valleys, etc...❤

incredible to watch. what a gift. your talent is sublime. cheers.
Looks easy..I might make one like this next weekend 😆
Wonderful and phenomenal job. I really like the table to be in my main Lounge.

^^ So great!!! Beautiful!!! ^^
Great job on this table! It looks awesome! At first I thought you were going to put epoxy in the various holes and crevices as most woodworkers always do. I was very surprised you actually cut out plugs to fill these voids. I’ve never seen that done before. It clearly takes more time, but I guess it all depends on the desired effect you want. I like the look of black epoxy on tables like this, although I don’t like epoxy river tables. However, the plugs you made look really good also. If it was my table, I would have applied the gloss finish over the entire stump, not just the top, as I think it would really give it a more beautiful look. I don’t have the space or crane to build something this size, but would like to make a smaller table. Unfortunately, the cost of even a small slap in a curly hardwood is out of my budget.
It is better to make plugs using a pantograph that works in cutout mode, setting the size to 1k1.
The only time wood plugs are acceptable is if they're small and you're able to match the grain and color of the original wood so they blend in seamlessly, or in other functional applications where actual wood is needed for a repair or a large amount of epoxy is not feasible. These guys ruined the appearance of this table with those huge eyesores, and even in the country they're in, that's still an expensive piece of wood. They could've cleaned the decay in those voids and then filled with clear epoxy and it would've turned out fantastic. Even colored epoxy would've been better.
Is this the root of the soan tree? hello
That’s incredible!!!! Beautiful!!!
Watching these people at work without any personal protection whatsoever gives me the willies. One thing is for sure: when your house is broken into, the burglars will not be able to take that table with them.
The lack of personal protection is appalling. One slip of that power planer or angle grinder with the guard removed will be remembered for the remainder of their lives. Wise men learn from the mistakes of others, fools from their own...
Who the hell would do a housebreaking and think of stealing even a normal sized table? It's like breaking in to a gym and steal a bunch of 25 kilo plates
Incredible work 👏🤩💕
The grain of the wood is spectacular, great jobb.
Hasil meja batang kayu sangat bagus👍
No cheap epoxy or plastic in the holes! 😍These guys know what they're doing!

I suspect it may be a commission piece for the lobby of some public building.

Impressive confident cutting and routing, but scary safety precautions!
WOW ! Espectacular ! 🌹👍♥️
доски со старых построек прекрасно это доказывают 2:03, когда мажут какой-то жижей сверху, надпись на экране "wood left in the wild is exposed to moisture and microorganisms. which can lead to decay and rot", что означает "древесина, оставленная в дикой природе, подвергается воздействию влаги и микроорганизмов.
What would be really amazing is if these hundreds of years old trees were still alive and NOT cut down. Imagine what they looked like alive with all the branches and leaves, the forest.
That would be nice, however MOST of these very old trees DIE naturally before they are turned into wood.
Anyone that has worked w/ wood like this before should be able to tell that this is a giant burl. Burls often grow on a tree that is sick or has been infected by bugs. Its like a scab on a human. Unfortunately for the tree though it may be bad enough that the tree dies and has to be cut down. Not trying to be a jerk here but not all trees are meant to stay standing! I really dislike ppl who have to bring the views onto videos like this. I hope the folks who made this table sold the table for enough money so they can feed there family.
I heat my cabinet shop with wood. Trees belong in a wood stove, NOT in a forest.
😭😭😭😭 I sure miss the dinosaurs
Wait.... How you gonna say that when 3 minutes in he explained that the tree was trash
WOW !!!! Wood is so beautiful, and you are spectacular in bringing out its essence !!!
Wow! Just what I need for the dinning room on my new Air Ship Project .......
If you sit at the table there's no space for your legs. Is it a table made only to show stuff on it?
more of a stand, would like to see a follow up on where it ended up
Amazingly beautiful!
Simplesmente maravilhoso!!!! Parabens!!!👏👏👏👏

Beautiful! I hope we still have trees in my granddaughters' lifetime. (I do NOT mean any dig at woodworking--I have worked professionally and built amateur items, too.) It's only cattle ranchers that shoot people when they stop them bulldozing the Amazon (or anywhere else) that worry me. Every cow drinks 30 gallons freshwater each day. I want that water to drink, and to water plants that we need to survive.
Want water, then all farms where possible should grow using hydroponics. It uses 70 to 90% less water than conventional farming. 😊
Release more carbon= grow more trees faster
The stump has a map inside of it 😮just look at the massive landscape within the texture of the grain
Would have been much better to leave an edge then undercut the table, this looks way too difficult to sit at having to move your legs to the side rather than under the table. Nice though. I have a root ball that i want to do something similar to, not that big , maybe 1.5 meters across but so many roots all grown together I just know it will look absolutely amazing. Just need to empty crap out of my shed and invest in some heavy-duty equipment.

Wow, a table with no cheap kitschy resin? That's amazing.
This is really nice and nicely done. It would have to go in a building with very strong floors and entrance doors large enough to handle a fork lift, or similar. This has to weigh a good 1000 to 1500 pounds, if not more.
I love this, I would love a beautiful piece like this.
