Today we are checking out Bellwright, a new medieval game which combines different gameplay genres: the base building of survival games, the story, reputation and skill system of RPG games with directional skill based combat and the army command system found in RTS games. I remember hearing about that game a while ago and it look promising back then and now with the new, polished graphics, it looks incredible. Hopefully you will make a playthrough of this game !!
You do not do INDIVIDUAL stuff as the goal, you order things as the Supreme Leader and have your MINIONS do the work. The game will slap you silly if you don't get into the mindset of leading, instead of trying to run around soloing 3094884 people in battle or build, craft and do everything in towns. Doing anything manually is an early game solution that you need to do everything in your power to get away. You tell them where to build things, you use the management system to manage the buildings to tell the worker what to do, you use the battle management to tell them to do battle for you. Only thing you're supposed to do solo is run to town and get the first worker.
You had me at co-op!
First impressions. Beautiful visuals, clean and good-looking UI, tech tree is stunning and building is done very well. This might just be a preference, but voice overs added to the dialogue is a big + in my book (with everyone not just main plot AI). I think Ai or otherwise voice overs are fine, it just sounds a little like Oblivions voice overs. Love the different dialogue option. Some problems now. Everyone looks a little stiff. (I understand it's in development) I don't really have much to say on the combat, little slow but it's needed for obvious regions. The grey map could use some color. All in all, it looks like a joy to come. And massive props for the update!
It does say in game to expect full voice acting upon full release. So that would be awesome
About visuals, when it rains in the night the lightning is FKN awesome! 10 days still Fixes every day, I love the Game already

To be fair, it’s only published by Snail Games, not actually developed by them. They aren’t responsible for how well a game actually runs, their job is to simply advertise and release the product. The problem is, their financial tactic seems to be the old fashioned: Support x product while it’s doing well, but then cut and run at the first sign of trouble. At least Ark: Survival Evolved seems to be doing well enough for them.

Absolutely. Pure passion, awesome devs and a mature fanbase... and most of all: a huge game that looks like it won't end up being compromised in scope and vision. (or because of greedy publishers)

This game looks great! It's a bit rough at the moment though, according to the Steam reviews. I will probably pick it up in a year or so when it's had a bit more time to cook.

Forge a bell? Bells (both iron and bronze) are cast, not forged (especially at that time before modern metal processes).

I tried Bellwright, I never uninstalled a game and got a refund faster in my whole life. I spent a total of 6 minutes in the game. 4 were spent in the very first loading screen of the game, and the other 2 were spent confused as all hell, because I had an objective, but no idea where to go, one minute finding out where to go, the other minute getting a glimpse at the AI and hearing the audio, and I, was, gone. Just not for me due to what I saw, I bet if I gave it longer I might have enjoyed it, but for 20-25 dollars and getting a first look, not my thing.
Honestly Danny, I just don't know... I'm sooo tired of these early access games. I just want a finished game already. There are literally 900 of these games on the market right now! I just can't anymore.

100% buying this, even though Snail games is shady, they have Ark which is an incredible game, could have been handled differently for sure however imma play this game to the max, 100% my type, while having a health dose of scepticism 👌🏼

The UI looks fine and then you look at the top left and see Stamina and Health bars that look like PNG Placeholders.

@@Doritos-7it just released for early access on PC. No console release has happened. The official word from developers is this is PC only right now. They’re open to possible console ports down the road but it ‘depends on the success of PC’s early access’. So there’s nothing planned as of now definitively for console. This dev also has a history of abandoning early access titles so I honestly wouldn’t hold my breath. It looks cool from a surface level though.

So you can build your own city and even create your own kingdom, now that something I may get but I since we got a story mode, I want know can we start have a family of own like in the new game Norland now only you do the same here that you also have your own family and have a chat of it, I probably wait for more review about it and one good thing I do see about this game that it got voice actor, cause game like this rarely have voice actor and when a game do it alway short

As lower of RPG and medieval Management games (Stronghold 2, AoE2, Mount&Blade (all of them), even some random Rimworld and Kenshi .. NICE
don’t listen to the toxic people. Just so everyone is aware the game is complete and fully playable. Again completely playable with good graffics and a fun story and a perfect mix of survival and action game. The combat is clunky but fun. It needs tweeks like real voices added little tweaks like ai gardening has issues but there are ways around it by building multiple gardens. They will make mountains of smoked mushrooms but just tell them to stop collecting mushrooms. You can play the full story and complete the game on day one of ea. I hope they tweek hunting deer and the combat a little but again fully playable. I am 60 hours in taking my time and I’m just entering their 2 building and have cleared the first map area except for liberating the starting village. There are two more building tiers and 5 or 6 villages to liberate still so I will be well over 100 hours of play if not closer to 150.
