    • Not father, but a mentor. A father can be a mentor but they don't know everything. A mentor is someone who has done something similar to what you're doing and found success.

    • Society today does a bloody good job of showing why fathers are important, but for that to happen half the world needs to admit that they do in fact need a man more than a fish needs a bicycle 😂 And we wonder why so many girls are braindead these days, I would hazard to guess most of the ones crying about being oppressed had male teachers they refused to listen to 😂😂

    • It's because he's retired. Yeah he was working again as an intern, and he was picking up more responsibilities as the movie went on, but that's got nothing on the duties of a CEO.

  • Many times, what makes a good leader is a good assistant who knows how to structure it all. Like a brick wall, you may be able to lay brick on brick without mortar and it'll stand for a little while, but it's fragile and easy to knock over, add some mortar and the bricks become a building that can stand for years.

  • Everyone entrepreneur needs someone like that to alleviate some of the weight off their shoulders. Most employees expect their bosses to make their lives easier. I’ve interviewed so many people that have no idea what it means to work.

    @plannerjoy@plannerjoyАй бұрын
    • Who are interviewing? Are you not doing ANY pre interview screening? Are you utilising a panel interview? Are you looking at relevant experience on resumes and checking references? Another thing - if you expect an EMPLOYEE of your company to work as hard as the person who OWNS the company, you are delusional. An EMPLOYEE has no stake in the company, not generally. Gary Vee says this in one of his talks. CEO's or owners of a company who expect their employees to care more about the company and work harder than the CEO are completely in the wrong. To your whole "expect the CEO to make the employees lives easier" point - well, yea. Do you want to improve productivity? Do you want to improve workplace relationships? Do you want to increase profits? Do you want to reduce staff turnover? All of these things have been proven to improve when the CEO ACTUALLY takes an interest in whether the lives of their employees are fulfilled. Not just at work. I currently work for a multi-billion dollar company that has an extensive staff benefits scheme and above average pay. The staff turnover in my sector is a little higher than others, only because of the work we do. It's pretty intense. However, I've met hundreds of other employees who all agree - you won't find a higher paying job or a job with a company that has more benefits. We get above average PTO every year, and the management team I work with are all really great people to work for. Get your head out of the boardroom. Actually give a damn about whether your staff enjoy working at your company. It might cut down on those useless interviews and even having to interview people at all.
