Idk this was written by some chick that cheated on her bf and then everyone stopped talking to her bc she was a dirty wh0r3, so she wrote this script where the moral is “cheating, like, doesn’t even matter at all, but dudes who point out when other people do bad stuff are, like, EVIL” Tbf those are the only people stupid enough to want to work in Hollywood when you can do this same thing from ur phone now.
I love how pretty much every person who encounters Pinhead reflexively thinks "No, it's cool, I'll just bargain my way out of this"

I suppose that depends on whether this movie's even trying to adhere to the original canon of the Hellraiser series, and the novel that was it's direct contributing inspiration. Technically, Pinhead and the other Cenobites aren't good OR evil, they're hedonists who's exploration of sensation has been taken well past the point of mortal understanding; their duty, both in our realm and the one they typically inhabit, is to further their exploration of experience, both pleasure and pain, and to find like-minded individuals to join them... whether those individuals truly understand what they're getting into or not. The point is, the Cenobites don't get involved with amateurs or people who aren't already well along the path of hedonism and the extremes of human sensation, and they really don't proactively seek out people; they lure them to them. The reason Pinhead was insulted by the offer is that offering him 2 common adulterers is like offering a foodie bean sprouts: it's so unsatisfying and insubstantial it's not worth bother with. When Kirsty did her deals, the important difference is that the people she offered up to save herself were always WORSE than her.

I'm sorry, but I just can't get over that Pinhead looks like Xerxes from "300" that had all his piercings done wrong and the other guy looks like he's from "Event Horizon", but dressed like he's going to a business meeting with Patrick Bateman.

If you know about the hellraiser universe it is funny to know that they are not trying to punish him, they actually are trying to reward him with experiences "beyond the limits" suited for a man of his impeccable tastes lol.

So it’s really a test of your desire to want to experience pleasures of the flesh. The box almost has sentience in that I knows if your willing to go to the farther reaches to solve it. Almost nudging the opener to get closer and closer the more they want to open it and the farther they get. It’s almost a totem for addiction. People like Frank and Elliot Spencer experienced everything the world and flesh could offer. They spent hours hunched over in the dark sweating trying to open it. They wanted more, beyond worldly pleasures. The films for run time reasons couldn’t really depict that so it was just briefly touched upon or glimpsed. In the films it was depicted almost like the openers were guided to open it by the box through their curiosity. Films were different than the books, in the books the puzzle box was solved in fragments and pieces to be put together.

It’s odd that they would bother with the people forced to open the box when it’s been shown they view the intent of the opener. Say someone forcing them to do it like in 2.
Anyone other than Doug Bradley or Jamie Clayton playing Pinhead truly is painful.

This actually seems like an interesting hell raiser movie. Saw my first hell raiser in the 90s and I never was particularly impressed. This seems to have a bit more depth which looks cool

This is actually a semi decent attempt at a sequel as it tries to take the Hell Priest back to his roots as just a creature doing a job (instead of generic slasher monster 1). It's nothing special but the best of the DTV sequels since Inferno IMO. Shame they wouldn't pay to get Bradley back though.

It's interesting how they cast new characters, I guess the actors thought is, let me do the same thing but in my own style so I'm not a copy cat. Reality is, It seems those original actors for pinhead and Freddy were truly gifted in this genre. You can have the same makeup, even do the same scene but when something is done right it can't be recreated. 80's movies are to be copied now and left to be forgotten while people go watch the originals in awe.

I've never watched the Hellraiser films. I clicked on this video out because I was curious. But now I'm left asking if this is supposed to be a horror film or a comedy filmed in the style of a 2008 rip off of Twisted Metal Black.
Hellraiser could be so good but all the movies are horrible. The writing, the acting and the special effects are decent. The only thing good is Pinhead but the original actor. This isn’t the original actor.

Really poor depiction of Pinhead. I like the addition of the Assessor and the expanded universe, but Pinhead doesn't act like that. His coldness and flat delivery was integral to his character. This is silly.

It's because adultery just equals a relationship betrayal in simple terms. It's hardly something that demons would gawk at. The adultry would have to be encompassed by a variety of evil depraved acts to be worthy of attention. If it was merely "Oh I secretly began having an affair with another man I like.." Then it's just boring.
