  • I love these episodes. But one criticism, put them all on the same style tire. Tires are so critical off road. A ford raptor on highway tires would suck in the snow too. With the prices of the vehicles being so different it’s one factor that could be an even playing field.

    @bartinater@bartinater24 күн бұрын
    • If this were some sort of scientific test, sure... but the reality is tires are expensive and it makes little sense to put them on a vehicle that they don't plan to keep. Take it for what it is, a comparison between vehicles the way you would do it with your buddies.

  • I have seen hundreds of GMT400 vehicles that died well after 250,000 miles....I own a 94 full size 2 door Blazer, you can see it in my name, had it 24 years and it has over 230,000 miles on it and it still is working great....all original. I would also like to point out that if you are going to do these tests, you all should be equipped with the exact same tire type and tread. Great video......I may need the tissue....lol

  • I’ve never owned a Land Cruiser so I can’t speak on those. I’ve owned an expedition and several of the gmt trucks, and assuming the tahoe/suburban would be the same. Looks wise, I loved the expedition and it got me to a lot great camping spots far beyond the pavement. Mechanically, in my opinion, the gmt platform is just as capable but way cheaper and easier to work on.

  • I would like to see yall do the slip test on these rigs, I just picked up my third gmt z71 tahoe in recent years and no one done these tests back then so it would be cool to see it now 😎 👍

  • 1st gen Ford Expedition was the direct replacement for the Bronco. Fits 34s stock on 16s. 10 inch clearance. Steel bumpers. Standard steel skid plates. Full time four-wheel drive. It also has the best engine and transmission of the bunch. 2 valve triton and the 4 speed easily go 250k... power and reliability. Only thing it lacks is lockers.

    • i agree. My buddies dad had one of these and we always borrowed it when we were teenagers. That thing was a tank. We were the old school party uber haha. It helped with the ladies 🤷‍♂️🤣. When you're an awkward teenager growing into your body, you need all the help you can get with them LOL.

    • Also, the comfort of the 1st gen ex is unreal. So much leg room. So much hip room. So much headroom. Maybe the most comfy/spacious SUV ever.

  • The Tahoe is built on the GMT400 platform, which is the best truck ever built. You still see the C/K pickups, Suburbans, Tahoes, and Yukons everywhere. I rarely see the Expeditions from that era still on the road, and they outsold the Tahoe/Suburban. As the owner of 4 Chevy trucks ranging from 1988-1998, I can say they are by far the best built 💪

  • Most of the 1st gen Expeditions would do well over 100k miles. Mine had 290k when I traded it. Ran just fine when I traded. The PRNDL bushings was really the only thing I had to change multiple times. It was a 97' XLT model with 4WDAuto. 5.4L 2v engine.
