Alanis Morissette Brings A Mini Altar On Tour To Keep Things Hygge

2022 ж. 18 Мам.

It's been 25 years since Alanis Morissette's iconic album "Jagged Little Pill" took over radio, and today she's back to help people feel something a little different with her new meditation album "the storm before the calm." Alanis explains how music can act as a gateway for people getting into meditation, and shares how being hyper-present has been the only thing that's kept her going over the years. Alanis also dishes on her obsession with hygge, the Danish lifestyle of finding coziness, and reveals her dad's early career advice for dealing with fame.

  • I love that she says sometimes meditation isn't the answer to everything and sometimes it can hurt more. It's very true. I'm not a big fan of meditation but the fact that she says her album is inviting you to feel whatever emotion that comes up and not just zen makes me want to buy it

  • I am four years older than her and felt a revolution begin for women, when I heard her album, Jagged Little Pill, because her lyrics were so introspective and reflected the thoughts and feelings I had growing up. I had so much admiration for her bravery and being so outspoken and I also enjoyed her singing and creativity musically.
