  • So seeing that the key elements were AWD and putting the center of mass as far forward as possible, we can conclude that Audi builds their cars for wall-climbing.

  • I was actually laughing out loud watching this. It’s such an over the top solution to something so trivial. It reminded me of the sandlot or over the hedge. Both movies are about getting something behind a ridiculously simple barrier and the characters coming up with absurdly overthought solutions over and over again.

  • I work with people with disabilities, all of whom are wheelchair bound (I'll call them mobility aids henceforth). There's so much space in that particular area for innovation to provide quality of life improvements. I actually have a few ideas but I don't know how to go about realizing them. I've also seen some really interesting stuff that involves mobility aids navigating terrain and climbing stairs. I think it's a really overlooked area because the benefit to the individual far outweighs the effort to bring it to fruition. I mean I've seen examples where a mobility aid can even transition onto its two front wheels to bring the person using it up to eye level with their company, which is really important psychologically. It also helps navigate a bipedal centric world easier. And the same example could climb stairs. But that was still prototype level stuff, and a lot of the ideas I have center on other quality of life areas that could be implemented rapidly because they don't rely on emerging tech or anything like that. Anyone have ideas on where I should focus my energy to maybe make some of this stuff in my head real? I hate seeing the people I care and work for suffer or be inconvenienced simply because smart people haven't made simple, easily applied options offered to them. I guess I'm venting but this seemed as good a venue as any from what I've seen from this channel and it's likely viewers.

Weight to the front, more ground clearance, and a smooth belly help drag over real world obstacles too. • These Lego videos always reinforce the same principles that made old school 4x4s effective. Short wheelbase, high clearance, front engine, 4x4… Jeep, Landcruiser, Samurai, Series Land Rovers… the old ones are small and capable. Most modern 4x4s are long, wide, low in proportion, and not really as good.
