Olá, Mestre , você com sua engenharia eletrônica , motiva eu a cada vez mais ficar mais apaixonado por este mundo tão fantástico . A engenharia eletrônica !
Good work, i have made a led chaser circuit too. but i used the 555 Timer IC besides the 4017 IC, and i made it on Breadboard.
Way to cool! I love the way you work not needing the fancy tools and using the bare necessities you have just lying around. That’s how I got started and I’m sure alot of your watchers also got started to. Great video and a good thumbs up for keeping it real!
Thanks for your support 🤗 Please subscribe buddy.....
love u man. 😄😄😄 it was smart using 7 color led to trigger. Many likes👍👍👍👍👍👍👌
Impressive!!! I was expecting for the worst. Great idea man, thanks for sharing it.
You are king of kings. Keep up the good work.
Very nice, clever use of a RGB led with internal clock IC, nice to demonstrate a simple circuit so it can be built on, well done
Might be agricultural but it works and works well and without a 555. 👍🏻
First, thank you for a really nice circuit chaser, cool. 2nd, your soldiering iron tip, please do some maintenance on it. It will last longer and give you better heat transference, I cringed every time I saw it. I've been doing electronics for over 40 years and in the beginning my professor pounded that into our heads and has worked for me quite well. Nice Job!
Agree with every thing you said, and i advice him to use different wire colors, it's ugly and kinda hard to follow when all wires are in same color
Gracias por compartir tu vídeo buena la explicación saludos desde México
As soon I saw the RGB LED I guessed it as a pulse. Man wen you spoke it was confirmed. Good work bud. All the best for your exams
Thank you so much buddy!! My exams are over 😁 Don't forget to subscribe buddy!!! Have a great day 😌!!
Brilliant idea substituting 555 Ic & other components for pulse generation. Nice circuit. Good luck for your exams!

Your solding is professional
Use on of those prototyping boards in which you can just plug components in and make connections with wires terminated with a pin. These boards are so easy to use and, just as important, you can easily correct errors that will inevitably occur.

Nice idea bro . I saw many people using IC 555 for clock signal.
Very nice circuit and neatly explained. Thanks.
Congratuleich for your work with the ic 4017 . Im in Bogota colombia.
Thanks
Gracias, por el video, saludos desde la cd. de México

Excelente, mínimo uso de componentes.
Simplesmente Espetacular!!!!!
With a little more planning before soldering, this project could have been so much easier to build.
and skill
And neater. I almost got my head bittin off by my instructor for just having 2 neat jumpers.
And don't even get me started on the soldering... 🤨
Prove it make a video post link here
@@jamesrobertson3853 you’re 2 years out of date. Obviously you’re not very competent with electronics else you wouldn’t have commented.
I personally would have used one of the other three clean edges of the perfboard to start the project.
And start with the middle LEDs and work outwards
Or atleast straighten the jagged edge, just a few swipes with a box cutter and bend it off.
Muy buen trabajo! Enhorabuena!
Для новичков норм, по домашнему, как говориться паял на коленке👍👍👍😁
The triggering in this case is the result of a main power drop and recover. The battery is unable to keep the votage at 9V level at the very moment any led is turned on, the voltage is droped down. That is what makes pin 14 to get the clock pulse so the 4017 shifts to the next led. The moment the led is off and right before the next led is turned on the main power gets recovered. When the next led is on again, the main power drops down, and so on.
Very Good!!!!!!
How to solder multiple smds to a 9v battery supply
Isn't that why devices usually have a capacitor somewhere to deal with fluctuation in power?
And I was trying to find some mysterious qualities in MC LED. Thanks but if a proper supply instead of a cell is used, what other way for trigger can be used, except from a pulse generator...
@@JMcMillen Yes, exactly. But in this particular case the power fluctuation has been seek in purpose to trigger the 4017 so it shifts from led to led.
Enjoyed it. THANKS
Very interesting. I wouldn't have thought of using the RGB LED for a clock signal, but it makes for an engaging output pattern! Nice video!
Yes!! I also like the simple pattern from the multicolour LED. Hope you have a great day.. Don't forget to subscribe buddy 🙂 !!

You should never subject leds to such sustained high temperatures.

Eyvallah kardeş iyi bir çalışma olmuş
Instead of an RGB led for triggering (Clock), use a normal "Red flashing led". The chasing sequency of the white leds will be constant , instead of a random on/off rhytm.

Da para fazer algo parecido com apenas o led piscante e os outros led sem auxilio do 417
As alaways great video!!
Muito Fácil, 👏👏👏👏👏👏!

Great work
These have always been great videos. Do you know how to make a mini cat fish shocker? I have a friend that has one and it only works on smooth skin cat fish and all of the parts fits inside of a 1/2 copper end cap. I can’t see what’s making it work. It has three wires coming out of it and a small led that flashes really fast that you can’t hardly see it flashing because it’s so fast. This unit can be hooked up to 12 ,24, or 36 volts. Two of the wires hooks to the battery or batteries and one goes into the water with the catfish and the ground on the battery is also hooked to the aluminum boat or a separate ground wire into the boat. ? It would be a great project for you to make a video so I can learn to make it so I can start catching catfish. Thanks again.

Better than average build. I give kudos for that. This would be a good circuit for a sign, maybe at a flea market for attracting people to your table for technical or scientific products.
a otro nivel sencillo pero creativo😁

VERY GOOD! JOÃO FROM BRAZIL
its fine. you showed that leds shall be + and - to the same side. but should be interested, how i will know whats + and whats - of the led. thanks
Nice perfboard!
Hi can cange led wite with blue or green colorr..
I presume that I would lose the clock pulse if I substituted a power adapter for the battery, as the adapter *would* be able to keep the voltage at 9V, is that right? In other words, does the use of an RGB LED to provide the pulse only work because this is battery-based?
No this will work with battery power as we'll.
Ciao bellissimo progetto volevo chiederti ma si può alimentare anche con 12V? poi come mai ogni tanto si blocca si potrebbe eliminare questo blocco? Graziee

Can I use cd4017be instead of 4017bp? Please guide me.
Muito bom !!!
Can I use multiple of 10 leds in this IC 4017 ? Suppose if I want to add 50 leds then how can I connect them with IC.

Jos...., 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Ic 555 serves as the trigger of pulse signal at the leg 3 of the out put 555 to the the input leg 14 of the ic 4017 . Now it is said without the ic 555 ,so how can we get pulse light at the signal at leg 3 of ic 555 to the leg 14 of ic 4017 ? Perhaps we get back to the past that to hire the signal train man at the rain road to do the sinal on and off for us to replace for the ic 555 when it is said without the ic 555 .
Great question!! You can use a 555 timer for giving PWM signal. But in this topic of this video I used a multicolour led for triggering the 4017 IC For more information please visit: www.revealnew.com/2018/12/led-chaser-with-only-4017.html?m=1

U can trigger this ic with using a 2 transistor and a resistor with a capacitor. A little pulse appears with this way

good work! Subscribed! Greetings from Texas!!!
So we have to roll the resister in fingers as you did otherwise resister will not work,,
Bro it can use in 5v?
Messy soldering could have been avoided just by cleaning the pads on the board. And why not just solder the battery clip directly to the board?
Bonjour ! J ' ai réussi à faire fonctionner le montage , grâce au schémas . Mais , j ' ai utilisé plusieurs leds de différentes couleurs . Je n ' ai pas fais une ligne , mais un cercle . Et sa fonctionne . Merci ! 🙂
Thank you so much.

Thank you 😊
Cool. Best regards.
Iss ic ko kitne led bulb main laga sakte hai...
This circuit is a great idea! If I understand correctly you need a multicolored LED that changes color by itself ... I miss that. From the 4017 data sheet, I believe that each output can only power one LED. Is that right? Do you need to put them in series and increase the voltage to use more LEDs? In parallel, the outputs of 4017 burn. Quite right? Some advice?
You can use a transistor or a mosfet( in pull down configuration) for amplifying the signal and running bigger loads

Very interesting use of flashing LED. Great idea.
Give you a thumbs up although I think square pads prototype is just awfull and very solder hungry.
Thank you so much 😀
I use a multi voltage powered breadboard to build a tester piece first. Once the bugs are worked out, I transfer the piece to a board neatly with a battery box, or power supply of my choosing.
What is the name of the Eastan that holds the PCB board ??

Sir do you think this circuit would run relays instead of LEds? I'd like to use it to power christmas lights. Thank you for a great video.
Yes it can run relays but low volt relay
The current provided atthe outputs of a 4017 IC is generally much to low to actuate any kind of electromagnetic relay.
Very nice
