Hey Chaps! What are we thinking? Ordering one?? 🤔
Samsung pre-order deals: howl.me/clrtSXXFlXK
I will indeed be ordering an S24 Ultra sometime this year yeah
These pre-order deals with trade in are insane! Im just stuck on which color
Tempting but I've already got the S23 Ultra and don't see massive changes to make me change just yet.
@@umeremad2123 even in Europe it's great. Got an s24 ultra (snapdragon yeah) with case voor 730 :O
The instant slow-mo is something I can see myself rarely ever benefitting me, but damn am I gonna use it on every video I take just because of how slick it's integrated.
exactly! I love it (and showing it to people)
The thing that no one talks about when mentioning the shutter lag on samsung vs iphone, is that iphone actually has a sneaky little feature in settings that drops the image quality when hitting the shutter button quickly. When this is disabled, even the iphone's shutter is slower.
How never heard of this
What is the setting called?
So you are saying this is turned on by default and everyone's image quality is dropped by default on iPhone? Because I've never heard of anyone mention it, most people I know just use default settings.
i know , and no one will say
@zezhixia3008 my co worker's iphone takes worse photos too especially in front cam.. so they prefer to take photos with my phone instead.
not going to lie the titanium looks nice with the flat display design like many years ago before they moved to curved displays.
The transcript assist is amazing and something I'll use every day. I hate listening back to recordings at times, especially if I'm taking part so to have this function is amazing!
So which one this year s24plus or ultra. Now that the plus gets the same display as the ultra. I don’t use the s pen much and with the ultra not having the rounded sides might be a bit different to hold.
Looks good but I cant say goodbye to my S21 Ultra. Still for me the best phone Samsung ever made! 512GB with 16GB and for me at least still great pics and speedy in all other areas. Remember when the S21 Ultra came out. It was the first phone in ages that was actually different from a design perspective. It was mind blowing at the time.
I'm rocking the S21 ultra too. I have ordered the s24 ultra but not sure if I will be able to give this back.
Upgraded to S23 Ultra from S21 Ultra, God I miss the rounded corners and still feel that it took better pictures.
Yes, s21U is still relevant and hard to justify the cost and hassle of changing
I like S21 Ultra too but in my country mostly used S21 Ultra has lot of issue like greenline screen, camera 1x not focus and shadow so i need to sell it since mine still normal and i can get better price
dont buy a new phone unless you have an actual reason. these phones come out every year and the second you buy the 24 you will start seeing leaks of the 25 and your phone will start feeling outdated by june when the new iphone comes out and it has features you dont, dont fall into the consumer trap
I went to check out the pre order deals and the z fold 4 is the only phone not on the trade in list. I'm wondering if that's a mistake or on purpose?
That summary Ai feature is impressive
My Nokia Lumia 900 has it too
The S23 models will get this with OneUI 6.1 software update in the coming weeks.
They're the same as the Google pixel phone 😂😂 + Samsung will charge you 5. Galaxy Al features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices. Different terms may apply for Al features provided by third parties.
The galaxy live is still going but this guy already got the phone and finished editing and uploaded 1 hour ago respect ❤🥶
Isn't that an embargo rule violation?
You can tell he rushed to upgrade it as he didn't do his research. The screen isn't "almost flat" it is flat and the Titaniam is actually lighter than before because they use less off it than the previous metal that was used. Because the titaniam is stronger so they don't have to make it as thick.
Finally managed to preorder the s24 ultra 1tb sadly though will have to wait till mid Feb 24 for delivery. Seems the first batches have already sold out for shipping in Jan 24. Total cost 996£ with free watch 6. Didn't seem to bad
how does the vibration compare to the s22 ultra? i was excited for my s22 ultra but i miss a lot of calls when my phone ison vibrate (kept that way for silence during lectures and work so i never really turn on my ringer and rely on vibrate for knowing when i get a call)
The biggest concern for most people is the text in terms and condition stating the Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 and that different terms may apply for AI feature provided by third parties.
we'll see in 2 years what that actually means
@@cjerpsubscriptions lol
I think its now worth upgrading my s20 ultra for this especially with some of the launch deals.
Honestly, I'm still using my S20 Ultra with no plans to replace this generation as it does everything I need it to do. Maybe next gen for me.
Yes...after 3.5 years it makes sense. But gonna miss the SD card support
I would still wait a year to get it, the price drop for samsung phones after the new version comes out is still bonkers
It's totally worth upgrading from the S20 ultra lol
@kfx3907 Yes not a bad deal £1139 512gb ultra galaxy watch 6 ,screen Protectors and a case it's probably a better deal than what the S23 ultra has been going for over last couple of months.
OMG it looks amazing specially with the flat screen
Finally the movement came that iam waiting for ❤❤
Awesome hands on video keep it up as always bro
im glad i went with the nubia z60 Ultra. Was going to hold off for a s24u review and to me it seems pretty much the same as s23u. I wanted to switch it up. I couldnt pass up the 6000ah battery, uninteruptted display and ir blaster. Same old same old.
Greetings from Scotland. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S23+ last year and am happy with it especially using Good Lock to customise it to suit me.
When will reviews drop? Is there an embargo, so the 24th/ launch date?
feels much more a software upgrade, from my s23ultra i don't see why to upgrade to S24, and loose the 10x feels like a downgrade, they should upgrade the 3x camera to fill the gap up to 10 x would make more sense

I normally wouldn't pick a violet phone but that titanium violet looked so good I had to pre-order it.
I saw the Violet yesterday at Best Buy that is what I ordered
I just pre-ordered this (I always upgrade every 2 years, so been waiting for this one), and NOW I'm watching this video. I usually check all the features and specs out well in advance, but since I've been looking forward to this one for well over a year due to problems with the antenna on my S22 Ultra, I haven't even really started checking out what this phone has to offer until now.
When u shot portrait in 5x its 12mp or 50 mp ?
I'm excited! I haven't upgraded in a while. Still rocking the s21 ultra
Better to wait till next year. This is an incremental test update.
'still' lol it's not even 3 years old... I have a S10e 'still' xD
Damned, look nice, do you know if there is finally support for emergency gps call or texts?
Can we shoot 50Mpx with the X5 sensor?
Still on the S21 Ultra. Planning to upgrade when S25 Ultra hits the shelves. Hoping for new even more significant camera hardware upgrades in the next generation.
Same here Waiting for design change Love my silver s21ultra
If you check comparison of S24 to iPhone in youtube, you will see if its camera quality is good or not

Trying to determine if I'm going to get the Ultra or wait for iphone 16 to come out. Currently have a Samsung galaxy note10 plus. I got a Apple watch 9 for Christmas so I have hard decisions to make here lol 🤔
Is it worth ne upgrading on O2 switch up to s24 ultra from s23 ultra, not sure if i get free phone woth upgrade or should i keave it toll s25?
Great video! Question: did I understood it correctly that for the S24 Ultra everyone will get the Snapdragon? I got an S22 ultra with exynos.. so if the Snapdragon is guaranteed for the S24 ultra, I will consider upgrading.
You are right. S24ultra gets SD worldwide.
Yes, the s23 also had snapdragon in europe
Correct - all S24 U's will have Snapdragon
Great, thanks all. I just ordered my S24 Ultra today. I've got quite a nice deal! I receive quite some money for trading my S22 Ultra and there is a pre-order action where they gift a Galaxy Watch 6 LTE, but since I already got that Watch 6 Classic LTE, I can sell the gifted Watch 6.

Im curious about the improve oh the shutter lag..
Pre ordered mine this morning. Coming from the S21 Ultra I felt it was time to upgrade. I can't wait, I get it on the 26th
The S24 is a great phone, don't get me wrong but I feel smartphones are getting boring, nothing excitingly new is happening. Maybe we have peaked, who knows?
I think so yes, maybe it will be the same with iphone 16 in September who knows haha
I agree i just bought the s23 ultra and i feel like its not even worth to change to s24 lol 5x zoom is nothing and the ai will prob come to s23 too
Folding phones are the way forward. So much more fun to use
@@Gamer_85 Folding phones break too easily and can't be fixed at any reasonable price. They are so far just expensive e-waste.
people have been claiming smartphones have peaked for like a decade now. i think from the perspective of someone who keeps their phone for a few years, it'll at some point accumulate enough changes to make a new purchase worth it, but the days of switching phones year over year for a whole new experience are long gone
I dont see much of a evolution compared to the s23 ultra
Right
Agreed
Maybe better battery life or no?
@@AkronKid330 according to some videos it seems like it's gonna be 15% better but let's see if that's true with the upcoming in-depth reviews
@JordanSpeedCuber true. With all the added AI stuff, it probably won't be much better.
I reserved it but can't find anywhere to preorder it through samsung
The matte titanium (thank goodness they finally went matte again) + flat display (again thank goodness) actually do set it quite apart from the S23 Ultra & in a great way
I don't like reflection. So weirdly, of everything mentioned here, I am most interested in the 75% less reflective screen. In some of the footage here, I thought the reflection seems more diffused but there is still reflection. Will we ever see a good smartphone with a matte screen?
there are matt films avaioqble in market availqble at 1 or 2 dollar ,just apply them and enjoy it looks really cool
THIS IS THE ULTRA PHONE!
I just ordered mine on the 20th from Verizon and I am totally stoked to get this over my old s21 which I'm using right now and has served me well for the last few years
I want to know Translation is only on the ultra or the other phones as well
I’ve used iPhone for the last 5 years while I was waiting for Samsung to change two things on their phones : 1. Put snapdragon instead of exynos in their ultra phone 2. Flat screen Just preordered by s24 ultra !
was hoping it offered more, its literally the s23 ultra with ai
- Upgraded Cameras - Flat design - Upgraded base RAM - Upgraded Display Brightness - Upgraded display protection and it comes with WiFi 7 which means it more future proof.
@@TechnicalUsama in real life difference, 1% noticeable. Those are artificially inflated upgrades to convince you that it's a huge upgrade compared to the S23 Ultra when realistic its not.

Oh for sure, very rarely worth upgrading every year
Pointless doing yearly upgrades every two or three years if battery still good. S25U for me next. S23U is still super fast and amazing battery 11 months since I got it. Great phone.
I feel the same way. My S23 Ultra is still as strong as the day I got it, and not even close to a trade-up

Great video. Disappointed that the conversation transcribe didnt work as great as I hoped.
What about the biggest most glaring issue that Samsung has slow shutter effect for moving objects is terrible especially in low light please tell me they fixed this otherwise it's not worth the upgrade.
Are these ai features S24 exclusive or will be software updated for S23 and earlier.
S23 chipset can’t handle AI feature so it’s only for S24.

Of course it can! And they will come to s23 series at least.@@vanmclaren5827
If retail price will be the same or higher (I assume higher) than top tier Vivo, Oppo or Xiaomi then i don't think Samsung stands a chance this year. The other companies introduce big camera improvements, brighter screens (funny because those screens are made by Samsung lmao), while Samsung lowers optical zoom in one sensor to increase low light capability, adds gimmicky AI, improves software a little bit and that's basically it. Imho, it'll be a sales fiasco in comparison to S22/S23 Ultra. But that depends what Vivo X100 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 bring to the table, we theoretically know everything by now, but nothing official. But seeing Oppo X7 Ultra and Vivo X100 cameras, we can expect nothing but photo beasts.
Vivo, oppo and xiaomi wont sell much in terms of high end phones. Maybe in china but elsewhere people will still buy from big names regardless how good xiomi atc are. So if s24 aint too good theyll buy iphone probly

Having owned the S21 Plus and the S20 Galaxy phones, they just don't compare to the S22 Ultra I now own - it's not even close. Considering how much you use your phone, and the S24 Ultra is for power users, it is the ONLY phone to get. The Galaxy Ultra series is like fine jewelry or a $100,000 watch. I also upgraded from S21 Ultra to S23 Ultra 1TB so i could keep it for years, and was happy with the upgrade, but I'm not tempted to upgrade to the S24 Ultra despite the exceptionally good deals.. I think perhaps the S25 Ultra..
A lot of the negative people I've seen complaining about how little of an upgrade it is are S23U owners, which okay, fair enough, going from *your* phone to this one isn't that big of a deal, but in my experience, upgrading to next year's model usually never is in general, Samsung phone or not; I've noticed a pattern that the model two years after your current one is the one to upgrade to at a minimum as things have usually changed just enough from your own model that it feels new to you. So for me, who has the S22U, going to the S24U would definitely feel like more of a an upgrade.
