  • When I saved my first 10k, I felt ritch. After I saved my first 100k, I felt poor. The more money you get, the higher your expectations become. A millionaire in a room full of billionaires will feel poor, discontented and unhappy. Spend a day with a homeless person, and you'll feel the luckiest person in the world.

  • time = money, when you have enough money to have control over your time, you have freedom. freedom = happiness

    • There’s a lot of rich people with lots of time who are not happy. They own businesses, have to manage their finances, ect.. Elon is 3rd richest but I’d say far from free. Having no money is also very stressful and will definitely affect your mental health no doubt. But having lots of money won’t make you happy solely because of having time. Money plays a role in feeling FINANCIALLY free, but doesn’t necessarily mean freedom. Freedom would be having your own land, resources and living a natural life as intended WITH tons of money if needed. We depend too much on institutions that gain from our loss and who would rather us depend on them. Lots of people who make tons of money don’t find ways to actually live free, they just live more comfortable than majority. Lots of times they’re very time limited. Time = money Money = Investment Investment = Free time Free time = Time to use to build additional wealth Enough wealth = Ability to plan to live free of boundaries Free of boundaries = Freedom Freedom = Happiness

  • The avg. American is having a tough time, I know I am not alone. There are others in same position as me. By certain statistics: 22% of americans have no retirement savings. 64% are worried that they will not have money in latter years while 47% of adults who are not yet retired think they have to work part-time in retirement. 200k, seperately outside retirement access depleted over the years? what can I do?

    • This may be the case but it’s all extremely generational. If someone entered the housing market pre 2020 they are going to be financially significantly better off than someone after the at point. Same thing for college. If you. Completed college pre-2000 you are going to be doing significantly better financially than anyone who entered college after that. It’s all about perspective and timing.

  • What has been happening in the last I would say 10 years and has really exploded in the last 3 years is the cost of almost everything, it has gone insane. I feel it is here to stay. I don't see price dropping 20% anytime soon. Here in WA it really does take a large income to be middle class. I seem to be happy even though I don't earn a six figure income.

  • Health is wealth! Money only gives you some sort of satisfaction; however, staying healthy gives you more options to enjoy life to its fullest! If you are a millionare but has a chronic illness, how can you enjoy your wealth if you are a prisoner in your own body? You cannot even take a few steps due to difficulty breathing...You become dependent on others for your daily needs! What a life...To people with respiratory or cardiac issues, just the simple act of breathing freely without oxygen is pure happiness. Going up the stairs without gasping for air is true happiness! So, happiness is different with each person based on your lifestyle and circumstances.

    • good luck with your expat taxes...you can't just leave the US without paying. The US is one of the few countries that taxes its citizens on their worldwide income, regardless of where they live or earn their income. This means that American expats are potentially subject to double taxation - once by the country where they earn their income, and again by the United States. How Can I Avoid Paying US Taxes Abroad? Based on the current US tax laws, the only way to avoid filing a US tax return and paying US taxes abroad is to renounce your US citizenship. Renouncing your US citizenship is a serious and permanent decision that should not be taken lightly. Bye bye social security....

  • I do believe you should strive to make atleast $100,000 or have a milllion dollar mindset but ultimately Let’s also not forget 6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
