  • Buy those Rafter Hurricane brackets for your rafters. They are not expensive and really help on stabilizing rafters. So do the Joist Hangers for end butting up against the bracing boards.

    • @@terrybunsey8015- I’m sure Jason doesn’t really need the advice. He’s lived half of his life in hurricane country- his second half in tornado alley. We all need to be reminded though. 💜

  • Saw your video of you tilling up a garden. You should see about getting a troy built tiller they are great till like crazy. We've had one for 20 yrs till we moved to Aransas Pass and took up fishing. (Retired) Love all your channels keep up the good work.

    • Amen on the Troy Built Tillers!. I only have to pull the cord Once to get mine started! Superb little engines on them. Just used mine to do some landscaping from having the Septic line from house septic being replaced. The contrctor just mounded the dirt up and we had to let it set for a year so it would get packed down by the rain. This Nice weather spell let me use the tiller to flatten down the mounding. 140' of mounding flattened out in 2 days!

  • Hello Jason. Can you start making a final video with material cost for your projects? When it comes to pouring concrete have you ever used or heard of the mud mixer? That will save you a lot of time when pouring and maybe you could grab a sponsor from them. Its way better than everything else.

  • Careful MagicSpoon might hire you to do all of their videos. That was a great ad for them and I bet you were really enjoying putting your twist on it. The garden area will be great but need the fencing to keep them dogs and other critters of it and the barn is coming along nicely. Look forward to your next one and see where you and Danielle got on the barn build or other little side project! ~MUCH PEACE to you both!!

    @Peaceful-Dez@Peaceful-Dez2 ай бұрын
  • Just a suggestion, you have built the load bearing beams on the wrong plane. Those beams should be vertical not horizontal as the way the weight is carried above it compresses the vertical beams. How to fix??? Install the beam under those existing flat laid beams with blocking under the ends at the contact points with your posts, that the best solution. You will have structural problems with your roof if thats not done

  • Hey Jason, what you need for the tractor is a Ratchet Rake attachment for the bucket! I purchased mine from TSC. It slips over the bucket cutting edge, has a cable and a ratchet strap on each side to secure it. It has 2 rows of teeth, 1 on the bottom and 1 on the front. It tears out small trees and shrubs going forward and the smooths the soil as you back drag. I use it to till up garden spaces and also maintain my gravel road.

  • Good morning from the Isle of Wight England, may be put in raised beds, it would make your lives easier, you can use your animal compost, but it must be already broken down and not hot compost. Should look at other sites. Happy gardening, nothing better than growing your own food.

Don't then have to step straight out into the mud and gives you somewhere up off the ground when snow and or wet. Other than that have been watching for a couple of years and do enjoy. Thanks.
