That radio broadcast at the end was amazing. The passion is what makes college football great
Totally agree. It is the passion of the players, the rivalries, the great plays, that make college football superior to the NFL.
That radio call was amazing.
@@iced_coffeelvr1069 I'm utterly impressed the home radio host kept every name straight on that entire series of laterals. 1/3 of the way through I would have been saying "somebody laterals to.. somebody."
@@Craig-ib7gk Right? I had to go back just to count the number of laterals. 15, fyi. Bonkers.
I played football for Berry College and Millsaps was in our conference. Crazy to see a little D3 team make it onto hear. I also agree the radio broadcast was sensational!
I've never seen a team win back to back games the way Auburn did that year. Fucking ridiculous.
as an Auburn fan it was insane. sucks we lost the championship game. Would have been one of the greatest seasons ever
Matt Moore I agree we should have won
War Damn Eagle, that was a great year
Not an auburn fan but I gotta say FSU had an amazing season too. Fitting they were the ones who beat you
j yuh that’s right Ricardo and Chris (auburn fan btw)
as a michigan fan, i instantly regretted clicking on this video
I mean what did you think they would show? Lol
I love it when meeshigan fans have regrets
As A Michigan fan, I know what you mean
Wasn't so bad I was a little kid when cordell stewart threw that hail mary and I had to work when app state beat us. I loved seeing the nd drive because I was there. Now if they would have played the Michigan state punt blunder i would have just turned it off because i was also there and that one really hurt.
I don’t even know why I thought it was ever a good idea ;(
Announcer: The most improbable touchdown you’ve ever seen (Ricardo Lewis play) Chris Davis: Hold my beer
@Mark Davis I well remember that game. The two punt block plays were so identical you would have thought it was a replay.
It was 1972, actually. Bill Newton lived about 8 miles from where I grew up. When I went to Auburn in 1981, that was still the last Auburn had won the Iron Bowl, until 1982 and Bo Jackson.
Mark Davis I was 1972, and the series AFTER the second return Newton caught an interception in third down. When he got to the sideline Shug Jordan reportedly asked him why he caught the interception because the goal was to make them punt again.
2 weeks later too
WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!
“THE BAND IS ON THE FIELD!” Never gets old 😂
MBonacchs I’d think John Elway may disagree.
I know nothing about the teams or the sport but seeing the band getting hammered made me laugh big time.
The last one gave me chills
Yes! This comment actually stayed at exactly 69 likes. There is some hope in humanity after all!
Jack Theiss why is the number 69 cursed though, I don't get it
Back when it happened, I made a facebook group called "I caught a lateral in the Trinity-Millsaps game" and at random had every Trinity player that caught a lateral join the group.
Why did the Millsaps players quit on that play?
@@matteoamantedelcane6670 tired bro
absolute chills every single time i watch auburn's two wins. the greatest miracle ever.
This is why I like college football so much more than professional.
Adam B. Go jackets
Adam B. Roll tide
I’m still mad about that auburn play😔
@@lukestanley990 the jackets are actually bad no lie no scam

this shit made me tear up

Glad I’m not the only one.

@@benjaminellis6237 thanks bro
Not me...that background music was tooooooo much. It's an immaculate reception, not an immaculate conception.
I love those low view slow-mos where you can see the crowd so calm in astonishment bursting into excitement as soon as the play succeeds
There's a video called "Kick Six Goes Epic" that is probably the best example of that I've ever seen
That Texas/USC, Vince Young game was one of the first college football games I legitimately remember watching
On Texas dick much?
I remember the BSU fiesta bowl like it was yesterday. Still get chills watching the highlights. Living in a small town with only a college team to root for, Boise state won that game for every Idahoan and they did it with true underdog passion. We went on to win two more fiesta bowls but nothing will ever compare to the first. I live in Louisiana now, but Boise state will always be my team.
Johnboy on wives computer. Talk about Boise State as the master of diaster and misdirection! What a top notch coaching job to pull off those plays one after another and against a powerhouse like Oklahoma.
Boise's hardly a small town, though it's obviously smaller compared to NYC or LA. 228,790 people as of last year.
I was 25 yards away from Crabtree when he caught that pass. My phone had died an hour before that touchdown, my voice was lost, my hearing on its final ticks. I can detail every moment of that day. While we didn't win the title, at that moment, Texas Tech was the best in the land.
graham harrell is my 2nd cousin. i’ll never forgot what it felt like to see crabtree come out with the ball and score. amazing felt so proud.
Yoo I was there too I remember how raider land lost it I couldn’t believe it such an amazing time for tech although leach had just left (when I got to tech) the air raid was still firing. Horns down & guns up baby
@@brendansmith6516 I remember walking down 4th, and the traffic jam was nothing but car horns and screaming. And beer flying through the air. And girls showing their goods. And.. So there was more than car horns and screaming. .
You should've used the footage with the Auburn commentators for the iron bowl kick return. Hearing him scream 'auburns gonna win the football game!' gives me goosebumps every time
this!
Well, Verne's call of that game was also iconic
They’re not going to keep them off the field tonight
That finish to the Iron Bowl was probably one of the greastest endings to a football game ive ever seen on live TV
IcyInferno11 I will never forget it! It was amazing!
Yeah I was at the game (I’m an auburn fan) shit was crazy
IcyInferno11 We should've thrown a Hail Mary... Roll Tide.
Most painful thing to witness in person
It was the best play I college football history, WDE
12:40 "It's the most miraculous play in Division 3 history!!" Now THAT'S A FOOTBALL FAN!!
The last play it sounded like H20 Delirious was announcing the play.
Jaxson Gomez I was thinking the same thing lol
4:36. Chris Davis.. no flags.. touchdown Auburn.. an answered prayer! Greatest play and call maybe ever.
U should look up the same play but the rob Bramblett call
Auburn: makes the most improbable touchdown you’ll ever see Also Auburn: I’m about to end this man’s whole career
Great video. No stupid music in the background or horrible editing. Props
I liked all the songs except hall of fame
“AUBURN’S GONNA WIN THE FOOTBALL GAME! AUBURN’S GONNA WIN THE FOOTBALL GAME!!!!”
I wish he put that one in
@@kristystewart1274 agreed, the one with Rod Bramblett is much better than the CBS announcers
R.I.P Rob Bramblett a true announcing legend.
Rip Rod Bramblet
What a way to end this vid - that was definitely the MOST laterals I have ever seen in any game...AND IT WAS A SUCCESS - thanks for posting all this fun in one video !!!!
This is why no other sport will ever be on the same level as college football. So much heart put into it from the players AND the fans.
The michigan state michigan punt fumble return to was literally one of the most improbable plays ever I was about to leave the stadium getting heckled by michigan fans and then he loses control of the ball and I literally cried lmfao the emotion all the happy michigan fans went from immediate happiness to complete sadness in 1 second I went from devastated to complete shock in seconds
Nothing will ever beat Auburn's back to back miracles.
Those two BYU finishes were back to back games. Tanner Mangum, a true freshman, had come in for an injured Taysom Hill when he threw that Hail Mary against Nebraska. The next week, Boise State had scored late to take the lead, when Mangum did it again. That's why the announcer is yelling " we've seen this before," because he had, the previous week.
@Jack Stivers yeah but BYU hadn’t beaten Boise State in 5 years. Additionally the 2005 National Champion Game and 2007 Fiesta Bowl are regarded as the #1 and #2 most watched and exiciting games in the history of college football. The Kick Six is a good miracle I guess, but Vince Young walking into the end zone is arguably more iconic and there is no game in the history of the sport more synonymous with trick plays as the Oklahoma vs Boise State game. Crazy thing thing is, the Boise State game wasn’t necessarily a miracle. That wasn’t a last ditch effort it was a DESIGNED play on all three occasions. The f@cking balls you have to have to say as a rookie coach we know you’ve seen tape of our two point conversions, so we’re purposefully gonna run the same the play but then do the option route instead I almost wish the fiesta Bowl wasn’t considered a miracle, because everyone only remembers the last 40 seconds of the game and OT. Everyone talks about how BSU needed a miracle, when in reality BSU choked that game. They lost a 21 point lead in the 4th quarter.
Wde
I love hearing the names of all the nfl players, like Cousins and Mahomes
Colin Grantz and Bortles lol
And Watson 2017
College announcers are my fav! They're ALL THE WAY IN! Livin' and dyin' with their team for all the world to hear.
I swear the intensity of college football is to die for!
I watch these kind of videos a lot, but this channel is so good I’m seeing clips I have never seen before
Georgia/Auburn still cracks me up. 4th down, all they have to do is to knock it down, and two guys go for interception to pad their stats.
This is why I love college football.
This is why we LOVE college football. 🏈
Might want to add the 2019 Auburn v Oregon game to this list. Thats a 3-peat for Auburn. War Eagle!
Subscribed. Great video, reminds me why football is the greatest sport on Earth.
What fun was that! Thanks for putting that video together. Some of those announcers made it even more exciting!
Your videos are great man, you really deserve more subscribers for this great work
+Xlcritical thanks man!
Ofcourse, looking forward to more videos from you
The last one was insane!
5:48 dude thinks the ref raises his hands to celebrate and goes and gives him a hug lmao
Haha!! That's funny!! Good spot.
*Powerful ending. Well done, Editor.*
Will never get over how far in the air Kordell Stewart threw it at 9:25. Amazing.
that last play was crazy
At 4:40 did anyone see Alabama 79 book it straight for Auburn 98 and hit him lol.
LOL. Gotta get your licks in, I suppose...
You should make part 3. Love the videos!
+Ben Snider going to start working on that once the one I'm doing now is finished. glad you like them!
+Ben Snider uploaded!
those two BYU plays happened back to back in the season as well, so awesome
When you get two legendary game-winning plays in the same season like Auburn in 2013, it has to be a special season and it was for the Tigers.
man oh man i love college football ! :)
That last play was by far the best college football play for the win I have ever seen.
great videos man!!!
Just makes you love college ball
I still remember watching the 2007 fiesta bowl even though I’m not a fan of either of those teams it was a damn good game and it was fun to watch my opinion it’s one of the best football games ever pro or college
That last clip is the most underrated broadcast moment I have ever heard, absolute chills
just awesomeness and it was beautiful
2:30 they deserve the win for keeping the play alive
Well, Patrick Mahomes has now won something much bigger.
my whole body has chills
Good list. You got all the ones I thought of
The kick six always gives me chills
The last one was the best. It started at 10:55 and until 11:56 they were lateralling the ball around. Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10:55 greatest play of all time
Sam Jones BSU vs OU had the best plays of all time
Sam Jones look at the guy at the 50 yard line close to the end of the play, you should never give up on a play like that.
He's on the offensive line. They aren't known for their agility. He's out of energy.
@@nba2kcentral227 Agree with both of y'all.
Awesome video
I love this
I love college football
Probably see this a lot but thanks for the great vids! Tips his hat👌👍
+Bryan Neideffer appreciate it!
Great stuff!
Some of these are miracles and some are well executed plays to win the game.
You deserve a lot more subscribers.
thanks! it's a process haha
3:49 not knowing what would happen at the Iron Bowl
10:15 Joe Starkey calling the final 4 seconds of the 1982 Cal stanfurd Big Game, through 5 laterals and the stanfurd band on one breath of air......never gets old.
The only part of that call I didn't like is when he said that Cal needed to get out of bounds. If you're trying to win the game, getting out of bounds is the last thing that you should be doing.
And you spelled the name of that junior college correctly. 🤣
Stanturd 😆
@@kevinstull8552 I think that if they got out of bounds immediately then the idea is that one hail mary with a second left is more likely than trying to take it all the way on the return
Great vid
The bears win is still the most amazing finish of a game ever
Awesome
Love it. I'll always enjoy NCAA over NFL. So much more passion!
Thanks for showing my TU Tigers' amazing finish!
I thought "The Play" was crazy ( I remember Elway bitching how his last game was stolen; it was always about him ). I'd never seen the final play in this video. It's the wildest play I've ever seen.
That BYU vs Nebraska Hail Mary TD was incredible. Especially after BYU did it again the very next week versus Boise State
I hate BYU with a passion but that was insane that it happened two weeks in a row.
@@jacobfloyd7288 dude the thing is that BYU is notorious for miracle finishes in cfb history. I’m surprised they haven’t made a video on just BYU miracles. Lol
I'm a BYU fan and that hail marry against Nebraska always makes me cheer.
Love the ‘Inception’ music in the background!
3:03 - 4:59 two of the three greatest plays in auburn history
F*CK YOU
(sorry nd fan)
Love the Boise st Oklahoma finish
What amazing finishes
This almost made me cry
15 laterals !!!!! Wow, like winning the he lottery !!
I like the music
My Old Brother went to App st. Thanks for having them 1st. Also I performed at the Iowa LSU bowl game in pregame show.
Good video !
I had forgotten how strong Kordell Stewart's arm was. He launched that pass from just shy of his own 27 yard line, and it was tipped inside the 2. Over 71 yards in the air.
Look at 11:41 What is the guy doing just chilling at half field?
no he's a defensive player, he lowkey costed his team the game, he literally coulda snuck up on the offense but sat there
Best seat in the house. Too bad he didn't bother about, you know, tying to win the game.
Ej Stoltzfus I think he was just zapped of energy
Might have been hurt. At 11:14, he got blasted with a block trying to make a tackle, and then at 11:27 as one of the longer laterals goes over his head he changes direction to follow but it looks like he's pulling up lame as he goes out of the camera's view. His location at 11:41 is about right for where he would have stumbled to a stop.
😂😂😂
Appalachian state is the best university I ever hung out at. Beautiful town, so relaxed, such a positive vibe.
I was there for 4 years, even when it was a dry county, but I never regretted a day of it! Amazing place to spend those years of my life!
The Mangum hail mary's in back to back were AMAZING!
Keith Jackson on the call...."The National Championship is on the line.... he's going for the corner...touchdown, Vince Young!" Greatest college FB game ever.
the last touchdown was lateral-ly the end of this video. A really great video.
I’m glad that the thumbnail of the video is of one of the 2 biggest rivalries in college football
10:36 Massive RKO!!!
3:14 one of best plays in auburn history next to, i know Alabama fans hate his name, Chris Dave's 109 return to win the iron bowl
and ah the sweet irony of 4:17
cj warren Chris Davis not Dave
Coleman Morris my bad didn't realize I put Dave's
As a Georgia fan, that play will haunt me for the rest of my life.
I’d argue that is the best auburn play in history
The greatest thing about these clips is that you watch every single one like if you don't know what will happen 🔥😂🔥
The 2 auburn plays are the most amazing and incredible finishes I’ve ever seen
I love that announcer on the Boise State hook and lateral "I've seen it all now." No you haven't. Not even close, however, by the end of the game you had seen it all. lol
No, no. There was more. After the game, the star running back proposed to the head cheerleader. After THAT, he'd seen it all. LOL
What is the name of the first song used in the background?
Remember those days....Will we enjoy the game someday again....
Ugh i remember that 2012 iron bowl Props to the guy who returned the ball.A game to remember for sure
