Why The IMPALER 10 000 000 Is Best Press Tool?

Impaler 10 000 000 is my new favorite press tool! with the sharp spike it impales everything but the matching bottom tool allows it also to crush and extrude like extremely satisfying worm maker tool! See how it goes through everyday items like paper, hockey puck, post-it notes, fruits and much more with our 150 ton hydraulic press!

  • Having the spike has caused the overal crushing surface area to increase thus causing the lb/²inch to decrease. This is the reason you can't get explosions with paper anymore.

    @Andy-Tyler@Andy-Tyler5 ай бұрын
    • Yup, it's a different kind of force that's being applied. With the cone shape the paper has somewhere to escape to in order to release the pressure. So no boom.

  • I would love to see the opposite of crushing things with a rod into a thick tube, like uncorking it, causing EXTREME suction. Would love to see violent suction using 100 tons. Violent suction vs a simple vacuum chamber on stuff.

    @Geoffr524@Geoffr5245 ай бұрын
    • The extruder is basicly this. The extruder creates a high delta P between the inside of the cylinder and the outside 1 bar atmosphere, and things get "sucked out" of the cylinder. The conditions that you can create in air are just those, high pressure inside, low pressure outside. Or a simple vacuum chamber but that is pretty weak with just 1 bar of 'potential energy'. If you search "delta P", most things are deep-sea stuff, as the sea exerts a yuge pressure on everything, and then you have some pipe or a dredger that creates 100s of bar of difference between the outside and the inside of the pipe or whatever is separating those pressures. The crushes inside the deep sea chamber are probably the closest to this, with stuff like the submarine and the glass jar filled with air. Suction is nothing but the movement of things into an absence of things. Like shadows are just absence of light, you can't make shadows darker than complete absence of light, same way as you can't create more suction as a perfect vacuum. To create a biiiiig difference (potential of energy) between them, you have to use *a lot* of the opposite (pressure or light), as you are capped with the conditions naturally found on Earth. 1 bar = a basic flashlight, 300 bar = a laser used to cut metal

  • Hemispherical tools would be interesting, there is a point where the two surfaces are flat, where the pressure would concentrate while still having a path of least resistance, escape route for all the stuff that is crushed beyond reason. It would not be straight but curved route.. And things would not be penetrated, splitting the material. That split should happen because of the pressure, not just shear forces driving things apart.

  • Hatmaker. Adding some grooves to bottom part (going from the middle to the edges) might give some extra extrusion action. And now that I thought about this it would be a lot easier to make the grooves on the top spiky part.

  • This has a specific fault point and it placed in an enclosing space. Compared to the flat press with the fault points happening naturally after there is sufficient pressure applied. The only items that will end up exploding for this are smaller bits pushed up by the pressure or something that is poised to burst already.

Or drill a small extrusion hole at the point of the female cone with a camera under the press table to see the straight-down extrusion? Or drill a few radial holes in the circumference of the female cone for lateral extrusions? 😃

  • Hey, if you crush bacon down into a heated, clean tool, will it come out cooked in a unique way? Will it taste good? I think you should try to cook bacon with the hydraulic press and some torches, and try eating the result. Also try using it as a super-high-pressure pressure cooker. What happens when you -boil- cook beef and potatoes at 1000 degrees under such high pressure that water can't boil? Can you cook stuff in high temperature, high-pressure ice? Can it be frozen and cooked at the same time?!
