There is a kit that replace some of the internal parts of engine and gives them even higher horsepower that's crazy cause are powerful alredy

Cool race,but if you do not take into account other races involving Corvette (namely C6 and C7), then you get an equal score of 3:3. Who agrees with this?
they’re only 6 hellcats rest are scat packs. Of those 6 races they’re only 2 c8’s. You have hellcats scat packs stingrays and z06’s in 9 races.

So basically if it is AC7, it'll get beat by a supercharged Beast. But if it's a c eight with a mid engine, it will likely get beat except for the first race and that was close until the very end. We also don't know which one of these was a regular hellcat at which home was a red eye. If it's a red eye, it has 80 more horsepower
whoever filmed this, zooming out to the times at the end, really got it right.
There are different versions of each car ,were these evenly matched?

I mean those hellcats have massive engines I would hope they can own a Corvette I would like to see what happens they race on any track where there's curves
The hellcat can usually own about anything on a straight away… but go down a real track with curves & corners, the hellcat is pretty much 💩 Just like the vipers were back in the day… poorly designed
@@jamesh.The Viper still holds the record for the most records beaten at the track what are you on about. And I've been at Willow Springs with my Cat and my buddy and his friend had modded C7 and C6 respectively. There were other Cats and Scats too and they were putting very good lap times even compared to the Lambo, McLaren and Ferrari. Any car can be good at anything just don't be a 💩 driver.

Good race, but you have to take tuning setups into account, and corvettes are mainly used for races, dodges are mainly used for drag racing.

The ZR1 is no faster than the redeye stock. Forget about racing the fastest challengers. Let’s be real, no offense to Chevy and corvettes are not slow (10.8 seconds is fast) but they’re not the fastest muscle cars stock.

As fast as some of these cars are, and they are, but I was looking at some old drag strip records from back in 1967, 68 & 69, and there were some pretty fast 1/4 mile times from factory L-88 Corvettes. And then there were muscle car auto dealers and individuals back then who had put the L-88 in Camaro’s, and the drag strip records on average, showed that they turned in the low 11s, but a few got into the mid to high 10s. The fastest I seen was in 1967 at the Fremont dragstrip outside of San Francisco, where a 1967 L-88 Corvette, turned in the 10:30s all afternoon. But of course they would’ve all had a low ratio rear end, a good pair of slicks and headers, and wouldn’t have been with street tires. And to give a little perspective, they would’ve been competitive with today’s Hell Cats, and 1967 was 57 years ago from 2024, and that would be like a car from 1910 that was still competitive with a 1967 L-88 Vett, and would still be competitive with today’s Hellcat’s.

@@normmaes3218 and I didn’t mention, that these engines were all motor, with no blowers or superchargers, there pretty much the same thing, other than a supercharger is typically mounted on the front of the vehicle, belt driven and piped to the manifold, while a blower is mounted directly on top of the manifold. And back in the day, they separated cars that had blowers from carbureted and fuel injected engines, because it wasn’t considered a fair race, and so that’s another disadvantage when comparing old school engines with today’s supercharged muscle cars, let’s strap on a blower, to an already 550+ hp 55 to 57 years old engine, and then let’s have a race with a late model Hellcat.
It’s like the 1960s all over again with epa regulations. Now that we have factory muscle cars before any modifications that can run 8 to 9 second quarter miles the government is legislating them out of existence again. It’s going to be the 1970s again but worse.

Didn't think the hellcat was coming back from that gap off the line. I own both these cars and the hellcat is a beast but they don't like to hook this spinning ain't winning. That hellcat owner apparently had some great tires, that vette needed a tire on it a he was about a half second slow.
He had the drag radials which increased the time I also think he was modified considering hellcats struggle in the top end due to weight
I would think that it would be the other way around, dynamically it’s harder to get a heavy car moving.

But I don’t think you’d disagree with the premise, that whether off the line or from a slow roll, all things being equal, aside from loss of traction, the heavier vehicle typically has a distinct disadvantage getting it’s mass moving.
A little extra weight on the drive wheels should help increase traction off the line

Why is it that every drag race I see with a hellcat the hellcat is the only one with tires made for... wait for it... drag racing?
Think all the lights weighed the Dodge down? 🤣Seriously, match it for pound for pound. There is an average of a 500lb difference. The C8 being the lighter of the two. Lots of factors that come into play. One of them, it takes about a half second or less for the supercharger to really kick in. If he had gotten a better launch, he would have won. MOPAR fan or not, Dodge can build a monster of an engine.

That grocery getter isn’t stock , it’s modified, you can hear the aggressive cam . And has racing slicks. Try it with a stock HellCat
Go around one curve and that grocery getter will go in the ditch while your “crap8” will take it like it is going down the straightaway Any monkey can build a car that goes fast in a straight line. They were doing that in the ‘50s & ‘60s It takes actual talent to make an all around machine that can conquer any track. Plus none have raced the ZR1 vette, which can beat that trash you call a car on straightaways, corners, the grocery store, or anywhere

The C8 although killer off the line it is only push 450 HP and is only an 11 second car. The hellcats will have nothing against the C8 Z06.

My son owns a 2022 hellcat 800 hp it has two keys the first opens the first 500 hp then the second opens the other 300 it is a f'n beast either way Just a roided out muscle car
Talk about slow, 132 in a thousand feet, if they are not getting to at least 190 in 8sec, why even bother, they actually think they have something, there are 60's an 70's muscle cars that would smoke this junk, but there are TrackHawks that top out at 240+ but only do 180+ in a full quarter, that's 1320ft, but they are Hennessy Modified at 1500hp.
