Leaf paper is seriously what the world needs right now. It’s so clever idk why the whole world doesn’t just do it I’m sure it’s so much cheaper as well cuz all that equipment for cutting trees is surely pretty pricey.

I’d assume it’s not as durable, since leaves are not nearly as strong as wood. It would also be much more pricey to dispose of all the woodcutting and processing equipment and replace them.
@@DiseaPoto I guess a rapid change would be financially worse than what it’s like now but if we slowly start to bring leaf paper into classrooms or workplaces where it doesn’t need to be as thick/durable and left some tree cutting for thicker art paper then it would be better in the long run. The worst thing about cutting trees is that it’s mainly to get space so trees aren’t being replanted.
Well, it is is essential for the ecosystem to get back all that elements that trees sucked out and put into their leaves, notably potassium and phosphorus. So, maybe it is a good idea to collect leaves from trees in like parks and urban landscaping, where you can fertilize the soil after that, but it's impossible to make that large-scale without harming nature because forests will be dead after a few years or maybe decades of collecting leaves. Maybe it is steel better than just cut them, but it's not an absolute solution.

2:43 important to note: They don't collect the leaves from forests, as that would damage the eco system, instead they use leaf litter from cities, as it is considered waste either way. If you go on their website and scrool down they explain how they source their materials and how they turn the leaves into paper.
