  • It took me about 3-4 hours before I made a good key-bind set up for my Azeron, my reflexes had been a little flawed because my lack of memory on exactly what bind was what, but once a week passed, BOOM baby I was rolling in it. I love this keypad and I’m waiting on my all black Cyborg. I’m happy someone else has had a very similar experience with it. Great key pad, not a keyboard. It’s for GAMING and it does a fucking good job at it.

  • I've had my cyborg for a few months now. You don't have to leave the game to reset your binds. I found myself setting up what I thought would work for me, then changing it several times until I found what worked better. Just have the cyborg app open play off the software settings and transfer to onboard memory when you think it's how you want it. It does take time to train your fingers how to move (and not move) to hit keys so it becomes muscle memory. Be prepared to spend time on that as well.

Mainly play fortnite and the extra binds I couldn’t reach with my small hands. Not to mention WASD movement was so tough to grasp. This will make my transition so much smoother

    • I was the same way with keyboard, but sadly i did not invest as much time as i nearly should have on keyboard, but overall i felt that controller was way more "admirable" for me to be better at and stayed; however, I knew that the azeron was gonna be for me when i saw the cyborg was dropping. You should let me know how the cyborg compact is when you get it. I'm thinking of ordering one myself. I 100% think that decision is perfect for the games you play. • Got my grubby little paws on a secondhand Azeron Compact with a flat palmrest and have spent about 8 hours in "Hell Let Loose" with it as well as an hour in "Outward" and I frickin' LOVE this thing! Took me 1-2 hours to tweak the controller into a shape that fit my hand and to learn not to accidentally bump every button when I wanted to do something, but apart from that the learning curve has been rather easy. I play using both mouse/keyboard and controllers in equal measure, so that might be why. Anyway, I really recommend this to anyone curious about is and I'm now doubly excited for my custom ordered Cyborg to arrive. ^_^

  • I have been running a Azeron for maybe 3 or so years at this point. I have a page set up for every game i play. I find its easier that way so that the same keys do the same thing in every game where some games tend to switch up the standard key binds. Azeron fixed that real quick. Fast forward to today, I don’t even play Fortnite build mode anymore but still stick with the Azeron.

    @babablaster_OG@babablaster_OG Жыл бұрын
    • SORRY FOR THE LONG RESPONSE IN ADVANCE, I tried to make it as detailed as possible, because I’m working on a script for a new upload regarding WZ/MW2 binds. So my starting question is which software are you using? I believe newer Azerons use the reWASD software, so if you’re using that, I’d have to explain a little bit more specific, but I basically bind the closest row that you curl your fingers back for all the essential movements (interact, jump, slide/crouch, etc). The buttons you physically have to press down like a normal keyboard I use for reload, melee, grenades for some games, etc. the buttons you have to push like a doorbell I use for swapping weapons, kill streaks, etc. the top rack I use for other kill streaks, pings, and actions like that. The two side buttons (near the index and pinky fingers) I use for the map and then inventory menu, the bottom row that’s closest the the keypads palm rest I use for the specialist abilities (munitions box, dead silence, etc.), switching between firing types (single shot, semi auto, etc.), and things of that nature. Once again, sorry if this didn’t exactly answer the way you wanted it to, but a video will hopefully be out soon to help guide you to your optimal binds :)

      @addyplatinum@addyplatinum Жыл бұрын
  • One thlng I always wonder about this thing, does it support "custom" layers, like holding shift but different? On my little 40% board, which only gives me 22 keys while gaming, there's firmware on it that lets me do stuff like... - Space when tapping but shifts the keyboard to number row punctuation if it's held - Numbers where QWERTY sits with another modifier - Pressing ESC while holding that locks it to function keys While stuff like that is mostly for typing, I've found it can help for games where you have tons of keybinds, too, because you can literally multiply the number of inputs you have. It wouldn't have been usable otherwise. There's significantly more buttons on this thing, and WASD gets saved by the joystick, but it'd still kind of suck if you can't do that. Because if you *can* than it's totally usable even for MMOs.

    @colbyboucher6391@colbyboucher6391 Жыл бұрын
    • Dang man you and I have a lot of similar questions about the keypad. This is the first real in depth question that has left me thinking. I’d love to see a video or anything on the 40% boards to get an idea and then see if I can formulate that. I’d assume unfortunately it would just be the need to setup multiple bind pages on the keypad firmware and then pressing the little button on the side of the claw to change the page of binds to make sure all the MMO binds are accommodated. With all that being said, thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video and share that type of question. Hope you enjoyed, and hopefully I can get a better answer for you in the future :)

  • Why not set the Azeron keys to a standard, logical layout, and bind keys in games to match? That's what I've done for 14 years with my Logitech G13. Very, very few games won"t allow you to remap the controls. That was you pop into settings, and go: "fire, check, grenade, remap, check, reload, remap, check" in the same way every time. You're never leaving the game that way, just immediate update and you're good.

  • Coming from controller and being left-handed this definitely feels like the way to go. Tried playing on the keyboard, but just feels terrible having to use 3 fingers to move around and some keys are actually impossible to hit if you are moving diagonally on a keyboard. Since I am also left-handed I have to rebind all of the keys either way no matter what I play because instead of wasd I use pl;'. Seems like even then I can just initially map keyboard keys to buttons through the azerons software that are generally the same and just tweak a few depending on the title.

  • I wouldn't agree that this is mainly designed for ppl switching from controller to M+K. I'm a PC gamer only and I use Keyspads since Dota was created for WC3 as I was sick of remembering all the different keybinds for the different heros. so I just had the SW open in background and after picking my hero, quickly tabbed out to switch my heros hotkeys to being 4 buttons in a row. wasn't the most convenient situation but massively improved the ingame experience. since then I've always had a keypad. first the n52 nostromo, then the orbweaver and now a tartarus. they all had a d-pad/joystick which i've bound to wasd to free the other 4 fingers for hotkeys. after getting used to it it's a total mess if you try to play games with a normal keyboard. especially when I started playing MMORPGs like RoM and WoW they came in handy because everyone is complaining about the crazy amount of hotkeys you can/should use and ppl try to get it done with modifiers like Shift/Crtl/Alt+binds while i just have one hotkey per spell and can reach all of them without leaving my wasd thumbstick. so imho it is not mainly for console gamers but also for games where you need a good amount of hotkeys. I think Azeron has a fantastic idea with the cyborg, especially due to the customizability and ergonomics, but atm I'm too scarred of wasting money as there are very many negativ reviews in regards of build quality, customer support etc. and the price and shipping-times are really long. My Tartarus lasts for 5 years now without any issues. and if it ever failes I could get a new one via Amazon or in the next electronic store within 1h-1d for about 100€ while atm the delivery time for the cyborg is about 3w and the price is about 3x...

    @andreasth4573@andreasth45732 ай бұрын
    • Totally agree with this as well. Was hoping someone like you would be able to share your story about being a PC gamer from the start and using something similar. It really helps those trying to get into PC gaming the right ideas for how to pick it up, especially with hotkeys and things of that nature, so I appreciate you sharing your experiences. As for purchasing, I feel like I don't see too many negative reviews online, however, looking at certain places can definitely depict certain results. I definitely understand the shipping fear also, but I have 3 Azerons now, and all of them have shipped in great shape, so it's very half-and-half here for me. I would say if you want to focus on the cheaper end, definitely keep doing what you are doing, and if you're looking at mid-price for a keypad similar, the MoveMaster is another great option that someone recently opened my eyes to. Regardless, I will still gladly recommend the Azeron 100%. Thanks you for doing this :)

    • There are definitely a variety of different games that you can play with the cyborg itself, and to be honest for some, the build can feel fragile, since it is 3D printed material, but as long as you are not full blown throwing this keypad into the wall, it can last. My BIGGEST recommendation i can give to you is to look at how complex the games you play are, and base your keypad purchase around that. If you only play FPS like COD and things of that nature, Compacts are your best bang for your buck on amazon; however, if systems can get really complex with loot, spells, etc. I highly recommend a cyborg. • i absolutely agree tbh. The keypad can be an amazing thing in comp, but sadly dont see or know anybody that learned how to use one except for Liquid Chap...

    • @@addyplatinum I didn't know he used a gaming pad! Did he use an Azeron or something else? Yours is one of the most positive, but also the most analytical reviews of the Azeron I've seen, & it's close to pushing me over the edge. Love that color scheme too, but I've seen some reviews that are highly critical of the switches on the Azeron, have you run into any problems there? I already use a Z-mouse (check that out if you don't know what it is), so I'm already used to strange configurations already, & I'm a shredder guitarist & pianist, so I think I could rage w/one of these lmao, but I'm afraid to pull the trigger & buy one!

    • @@JeighNeither yeah he did it for the purpose of a video and that was it really. If he stayed on it, he wouldve been a game changer. Tbh i havent run into any issues with mine besides the WASD movement overall being weird and not registering, but that's why reWASD is a good fix it seems, but i havent checked that out too much. I would say that the switches are still some ways away, but this community will need some big peeps (hopefully me lol) to help get it there for customizing switches. Totally think if it you have the time, the desire, and the extra money, even buying one off of amazon is worth it :)

    • @@addyplatinum Thx for the breakdown, I appreciate your honesty. I can see how it's not right for everybody, but I'm definitely in the target audience. Not only am I able to tinker w/gadgets, but I enjoy it. I've done a little research and found that there are replacement switches that work in the pad, that are much higher quality (actually 10m clicks), although I couldn't find anyone that has actually ordered them from China & installed them. I guess someone's gotta be the gunnie pig lol. I think I'll pull the trigger on one of these then; damn, that pun was unintended, but I'm leaving it. I think you're right, since they released the Cyborg fairly recently, there probably won't be any updates for a while, & now is as good a time as any to buy one. Thanks again, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback w/me!

    • @@JeighNeither Absolutely dude that is what I am here for and hopefully can find my passion in gaming for again is through the azeron community. If you're curious about latest models, the cyborg compact just recently launched too. As always, appreciate you tuning into the video and hopefully many more to come :)
