I'm a disabled gamer ,.. i mapped keys for wasd and use the thumbstick to emulate the mouse aim ,.. it's mot perfect but as a 1 handed person it allowed me to return to gaming after my stroke. p.s. i have all versions ,.. the mini is best for most users , for my needs as a 1 handed gamer cyborg is the clear choice.
have you considered a foot mouse?
AWESOME!
Awesome!!
@@TheRedJellyBean thats a thing?
Moving and aiming with the same hand seems like a pretty damn challenging task to me, wow.
The one thing I've learned from programmable keyboards is there's no such thing as setting up the key configs once and you're good 😁 particularly with keyboards that allow for combos (multiple key presses producing different effects) and/or layers. It becomes almost a meta game haha
Um…I haven’t had that problem.
@@brandonrabie6013 same, I've used a Hori gaming keypad for the last 3 years (unfortunately it did not survive my nephew throwing it down the stairs, I'm waiting for my Cyborg now) and settled on a config maybe a month into using it? Afterwards you just change your game settings to work with the config, no need to over engineer a config.
For real. Ever since I got my Steam Deck, the game I've logged the most hours on is the Steam Input Configurator 🤣

I have so so many presets for my razor keypad
The best review for this item i have seen, clear and detail, tks dude
Thanks for this, was looking at this today and not sure - but you've covered everything I was unsure about! I think I will give it a try...
Thanks bro, this Is a great review. I've been on the fence about the Azeron but I feel like I'm good to go ahead and snap one up. I also enjoyed the video, this is the first I've seen of you. I'm subscribed now and looking forward to your stuff in the future. Thanks again! -Chris
I'm very intrigued by these control pads, but in afraid I won't ever get used to it and it will just collect dust. Thanks for the review!
This is awesome for people with smalls hands. I can't tell you how many times my hands cramp up or I've missed a play because I had to spend precious seconds stretching for a key. I'll definitely be saving up to buy this.
Great video. The Cyborg is awesome for anyone looking for a keyboard alternative. I can't use a keyboard to game at all and have used tons of keyboard alternatives and the Azeron is the best by far. I upgraded to the cyborg and gave my original 2 azerons to my son and granddaughter. The azeron is the only thing keeping this 60 yr old gaming. There is a learning curve training your fingers, especially the ring and pinky. I use the Azeron for multiple shooters and some kids games I play with my grandson. and it works great. I rebind the keys in game the 1st time I play and then I am set. It's worth every penny.
I’m starting to get carpal tunnel in my left hand. Would you recommend this design for more comfortable gaming?
@@Reeceezy The Cyborg has two palm/wrist rest options. I use the curved one and find it very comfortable for long gaming sessions. No wrist issues.
@skilltoggled Thanks but I didn't want the thing to just collect dust on a shelf and since she games on PC it just made sense to let her use it.
same, any time i game on a keyboard it takes 100% focus it’s not relaxing for me at all. Glad that controller is supported on PC
@@Reeceezy your palm never really moves when on Cyborg, so it might be a solution for you. I've been more concerned about carpal tunnel with my mouse (Azeron doesn't solve it) but when it comes to comfort with my Azeron, I just adjust the hight of my chair arm-rest, place my hand on the device and never really do any wrist moves during my gaming sessions. I personally was better equipped to play with a keyboard than @MNfightingsaintsgaming but some of the Fortnite finger gymnastics required were just too much for me. Once I got used to my keybinds on Azeron, back from Azeron to keyboard is a big no no for me.
Man I have used a lot of these since 2001. Belkin N50, N52, N52e. Razer Orbweaver. Logitech G13. Back in the day I kicked it on my bed with an adj arm display holder, one of those gamepads and a Logitech thumb ball/Trackball since 1991 (Trackman, Trackman Marble, Trackman Wheel, M570, m575 and the MX ERGO as my current device. YES I have been gaming on stationary thumb style mice since the 90s. The precision you can get with a keyboard gamepad and trackball mouse is insane. TINY movements and accuracy is the result of a good programing setup. The MX Ergo precision mode button that works amazingly well looking down a scope as a sniper. I guess I missed this pad completely having never heard of it till today. Might have to give it a shot. Thanks for the review.
I started as a M&K gamer, moved to console and picked up controller really well, but I’m buyback on PC again and I want to get back into M&K and came across this. Found a few different reviews and yours has me wanting to guy and master the cyborg.
Thank you dude. I've been seeing their tik tok page over and over again, and if I'm being honest, I had a hard time trusting thrm because it seemed way too good to be true. It seemed like it was either gonna be super cheaply made, or a lot less practical than they make it look. However, after your review, the keypad seems just as advertised, and I'm way less worried about buying one. Great review, and again, thank you for telling us about it.
Yeah, the company is super nice and cool too. This isn’t sponsored or anything I just genuinely like working with them.
I've seen some people making a keyboard joystick addon. It's just a joystick and one or two buttons that sit underneath the spacebar. It allows your fingers to rest on the middle of the keyboard and access all the keys. I wonder which is better.
The most amazing thing about this product is that it comes in a right handed version for people that feel more comfortable using their left hand on the mouse like myself.
Ur really good at explaining things
I used a Nostromo Gampad years ago, it had a bit of a learning curve but really improves performance. This looks similar but superior.
Love my Nostromo! I can't imagine playing anything without it. This looks great tho, for when this dies ;)
I switched from a Nostromo to this. There was a learning curve, but it's the same design philosophy.
Mini USB wasn't so much a design choice as it was what the microcontroller running the Azeron (the Teensy++ 2.0) has on board. While mini-b could have been adapted to USB-C in the device itself, it would have added a point of failure. I'm currently building a mixer that will change per-application volume in Windows. I'm building it around an Arduino Nano, which also uses mini-B. For something that stays plugged in, this will be more than robust enough.
It could be easily changed to any controller with USB port, for example nice!nano, which could add as well a nice BT functionality.
@@anghDescartes bluetooth is completely worthless for anything that requires speed and accuracy, like gaming.
@@GroteGlon i type 120 wpm on Bluetooth keeb, and that's kinda very good speed and accuracy;) and nice!nano can still be connected via usb if needed.
@anghDescartes end users like you are the biggest pain I swear to god. The amount of words you process on a keyboard withing a minute is not the speed I'm talking about. I'm talking about the delay between an input and output. Bluetooth latency is about 34ms in best case, about 200 worst case. The brand new bluetooth 5.3 promises 20ms best case scenario, which is still too high. A modern wired keyboard is anywhere like a corsair k65 will do about 0.4, the average wired gaming keyboard will do worst case about 4 maybe 5ms. Bluetooth would be useless, because you'd have to build in batteries, which needs redesigns, increases size, and drives up cost. For what? Increased latency on a product that needs to be as fast as possible? Stop being smug and arrogant, go back to your office job, and send the IT worker a ticket instead of walking to his desk next time.
“Found this online” by that you mean via a text from your friend who was shown it by his coworker.
Pffffffffffffffffffft

So true on devices like this. I sent this video to my brother by text, his son got one for his birthday. Was just rewatching because I forgot the name and want one too.

Eventually they will come out with a glove that you just slip on and jump straight into a game.
Maybe a second glove with it for full dive VR that way everything in the game will feel like real life 😃😍
You reminded me of the old school Nintendo power glove from the early 90's
Great review. I have been a controller player for years I’m great with left functions but my right side (AIM) I am not. On mouse I’m pretty good but I can’t quite get the keyboard aspect down with WSAD buttons. So I was looking at this because of the joystick functionality it provides. And all the buttons are in a location my hand doesn’t loose track. This review has helped so now I’m going save up some money so I can order one.
Thanks for the review!
nice review i ordered one this morning, looking forward to learning it all
Did you receive it do you like it ?
@@mr.getitdone1451 probably the best keypad out there imo bro
@@isight4271 I measured my hand it’s at about actually 20 cm and I ordered the compact cyborg version, you think it’ll be better ? I saw in the video you said you would rather go with the compact one why is that ?
@@mr.getitdone1451 I mean I have quite large hands it fits perfect on the cyborg fine and there's no issues with what I have I just prefer the design of the compact when it comes to the top buttons. Let me know how you get on with it. Also if you've used a controller like scuf with back paddles in the past I advise binding the left half of controller to whatever fingers used on controller to match the azeron
@@isight4271 I got the compact medium which goes to 16-20 cm should I get the large compact ?
this is one of those total muscle memory devices. I started using a nostromo years ago, currently use an orbweaver and i know if they stop making it.. ill be screwed. though i can see this device is huge step above that. once you get the ergonics down and the muscle memory i bet its amazing.
I'm making the switch from controller to MnK and this product is gonna be dope for me. Mine will be delivered in the next couple days. I'm so freaking excited!!!!
It's so hard
This seems like it would be meta for speedrunning games like minecraft because you can hotkey the 1-9 keys for quicker input swaps and could probably do some hotkey trickery with f3 for more efficient pie ray
Keypads like the Tartarus and This are frankly a must if you want to be better at games. The best part is you can map the same abilities between games to the same keys so you are not losing muscle memory between games. Dodge is always the same key, shoot is the same key. Also killer in MMO's as you can really put that kep mapping to use and swap between mmo's without missing a step. Also the grip tape has made this much better. I use the tartarus and found the cyborg too slippery, grip tape has fixed this. You can also get grip tape for the buttons as well just remember to clean the oils off with an alchol pad before attaching. Overall I'm happy to have an alternative as other keyboard makers have moved away from a keypad with Razer being one of the few with a egronoic design and now with Azeron I have two options.
I currently use a Razer Tartarus. Not big fan of Razer but I like the customization and ergonomics. What I hate is that in game sometimes the keys register as if I'm holding them down when I'm not. It's as if they are stuck. Pressing the key again stops it but it's gotten me killed quite a few times. This is definitely on my radar in terms of a replacement.
Same thing happened to mine. I recommend the gaming keypad from Hori (Hori Tac Pro), mine lasted 3 years and only broke because my nephew threw it.
Yeh from what I've noticed in a very short span of time is too many people complaining about that very same thing. I was planning on the tarturus but that quickly changed.
I have the same problem on both my razer keyboards, the huntsman and the black widow. I thinks it's just a problem with a lot of Razer devices
The idea of this is awesome, I bought one. The problem is it's not sturdy enough with the materials it's 3D printed with. It broke the first day I was using it, probably manufacture defect. After fixing that the buttons randomly just don't work about 25% of the time. Also the adjustable screws constantly loosen themselves and I'm always tightening them back up daily. I'm just going back to my razor tataurus.
My Razer Tartarus does the same thing
I've seen several reviews of this product but stoked when Cowboy said Halo Infinite. I just received my Razer T pro and I played like a noob last night for my first time using KBM vs. my Xbox Elite controller {I'm an older player now and got some bad trigger finger and arthritis, especially in my right aim thumb). I do like the thumbstick instead of WASD, that was pretty cool. Curious if I need to grab the Azeron in the future.
As a leftie, I have gone thru many custom configs (I do game left handed). I just looked on their site and they make a left handed version so I'm in.
For the keybinds, why not just run the game in Windowed mode at a lower res (720p), then just click out of the game window and into the Azeron software? I do this all the time when setting my Razer Tatarus binds - takes like 5-10 min max
How do games that only allow controller inputs or keyboard inputs (like you can't use both types of inputs at the same time in matches) in games such as MW/Warzone work? I'm looking at the joystick and was wondering how it's recognized in games if it's mapped as a joystick? Do games see that as a controller input and change the UI to match a controller layout and then back to keyboard layout when you hit a mapped out key press from the keyboard? Sorry if that doesn't make sense!
Depends on the game and how you set it. Apex legends is best to set it as wasd, same for Warzone. Fortnite from what I’ve seen is best to set as an analog.
You're the second person i seen that uses this keyboard. I watch a streamer who uses this and i been thinking about getting it. I recently bought a mouse cuz i been had a keyboard. I just switched to keyboard and mouse like 4 days ago but i would love to try this keyboard out. Getting used to KB&M coming from controller is difficult enough but sorta getting the hang of it. But would love to try this out mainly because of the anolog stick. Thing is i dont have a PC im playing on my XBox (i know i know, i gotta get a PC) Will this still work on there since you said you have to download the software jn order to map the buttons
My heart says yes, but my KD says hell no. Great review nonetheless, really liking the energy throughout. Looking forward to the next upload
This is much faster than a keyboard, way smarter than a controller, and is more natural than the other alternatives out there.
@@blackmamba___ Do you own one? I have a couple questions about it
@@blackmamba___ Everything you said was objectively wrong but ok.
@@DrWiki-po1hk it's not meant for everybody. If you adapt well, then this is gold.
@@blackmamba___ Sure. However, your claims that this is a faster, smarter, and more natural alternative out there is simply not true. Nothing is faster than the zero debounce time of optical switches, nothing is smarter than the innovation of analog switches, and gripping something for too long is possibly worse than just typing on a keyboard. This is just an alternative. That's it. It isn't better than what some keyboards in the market provide.
Im building a PC right now and Im genuinely considering holding off for a few months on the PC, getting this and learning to play on my laptop and then when I can afford the PC I will be fully trained for it
This is absolute nuts. I need one.
My concerns are, how practical it is after adjustig it finding suitaple layout on whitch what buttond does and how long and hard is the learning curve when normal keyboard is ready for the game by default and everyone knows how to use it. (And there was 4-9 weeks production time). And it come whit a price tag of 175 - 245€ depending on what litlle candys you order your's whit.
How do you find strafing with the thumb stick ? The Dutch guy who reviewed this said there was way too much movement to be able to strafe left/right. Does the software allow you to adjust the dead zone to remedy this ?
I had no issue with that. You can change the movement angle when it’s in wasd mode
For fps is best to add a restrictor ring and use a close deadzone in the software. Works better than wasd imo
@@iAbeTeK thanks yeah I just noticed that option and the dead zone adjustment makes sense . cheers
My only question is, do I have analog movement with the thumbstick or is it just mapped to WASD, 8 directions on/off? I'd love to get this thing for star citizen, so I can have analog rolling and strafing in 2 directions. Would be awesome with the 2 profiles set to flight and on foot respectively.
You can choose analog joystick or mapped to wasd.
i ordered the azeron cryo for star citizen, ill know in 2 months if it was worth it. this will work for star citizen because i have already played with rekeying on mouse/keys/throttles/mdfs/tablets/my omni throttle/xbox controller/dual joysticks, omni throttle with mouse and pedals and it all works but time consuming. i also used joy2key to "fix" issues i had tweeking controllers
Can u use two of them one for each hand.. to make it like a controller feel
Your an actual Alien if you can do such things. Why dont you just play two paianos at the same time.
@@puff4313 I would but don’t know how to play the piano lll try and I’ll let u know how it worked out
Man I just can't get back into Mouse and Keyboard after being gaming with controller for almost ten years now. Anyway, this looks awesome
Is it possible with any PC shooters to have fully analog character movement and use a mouse to shoot at the same time? I think I've tried playing a game with the left half of a controller for movement and the mouse for shooting and the game kept trying to switch between the two each time there was a new input and it wasn't possible to use both at once.
Show us some honest game play to see how it is with this thing.
I was a console player all my life up until a few years ago. So controller is second nature for me! I've forced myself to use only KB&M for three straight months but even after that I went back to controller instantly. I see the clear merits of a mouse doing the aiming vs your thumb on a controller, but on the left hand side of things I just absolutely HATE WASD. This thing has a hell of a price tag, but man am I very tempted to pick it up.. Mouse gaming WITH an Analog stick for movement. mmm mmmm tasty!
Have you done the switch yet? I am a console player amd since 2 years exclusive pc but with controller. Im an okay player but when i use only the mouse and then the joystick one after they other like woth a gun.. Mann the recoil and following enemies on the mouse is far ahead there is no doubt.
Order from them directly, bought one yesterday, and amazon was like 35 dollars more. And i got a couple upgrades, so more like 50 dollars more.
Dude that's awesome I play dead by daylight and I'm a killer main. I just got it on PC and that'll help bro. Nice vidoe thank you 😀
So can you use some of the buttons as modifiers?
I mean, imo, mini USB is preferable to micro usb and is less prone to fail. I guess my issue is that I play a ton of games and it'd be difficult to keep toggling between different mapping's. I'd stick the Cyborg because I play a lot of space sims which absolutely use all sorts of buttons that other games wouldn't.
The only thing is I disagree for only keyboard fans it's like a mix for them both most keyboard people don't like the analog stick and prefer the button style so for me as a main console person going into pc I feel like this is a good half way point . Plus I have a general understanding of the concept. I'm kinds getting used to the keyboard but the moving around is a bit much more to do but with this it's got a mix of they keys and Joysticks.
This takes time to learn
How many profiles does it let you make in total? (Currently I use a Razer controller whose software lets me make maybe over a dozen, with only 2 equipped at a time.) Also is this compatible with Steam Controller Configurations? (So that I can adjust the deadzones and input curve of the stick)

I have the Elite Xbox controller for the paddles, but I can see this would help a lot with my arthritis. Honestly wondering how long it’d take to map/learn how to type with this. The one finger gaming is also pretty sweet - wasd and jump to fire as the final press would make people with little finger movement able to play with hand motions instead.
Typing with this is not really a good idea, imho
@@UldisBiztheoretically it would be faster, but I can't imagine the time you would need to invest
@@ylerian8878 time + I think there would still be some keys missing
Something i thought this would be great for is vr flight sims like elite dangerous. This plus a flightstick.
I'm curious how long it took for you to get used to it and to play flawlessly with it

So I tried to get a custom one but the website is based in Australia an I think only takes €.. I live in the US how do I buy this thing Lol i just got one this thing looks Sick asf
Came here for one info and I got it: Software quick and easy to understand I'm an enthusiast of mouse with too many buttons for the thumbs and played with corsair, evga, steel series, razer and microsoft mouse. Software is 70% of the reason i got rid of them. The other 30% is the middle mouse click stopping to work.
So you no longer need to use the mouse in a game? The analog joystick on the device replaces it?
Ideally you’d use the joystick to move, and a mouse to aim.
Serious question my right hand is broken and I’m looking for solutions, can I program the mouse to the keyboards analog stick? So I can play something like lost ark?
It only uses button clicks, so you’d have to reprogram the game to not need mouse input I believe Edit: also heal fast mate. Good luck

Is there something like on steam where there are community layouts for different games? Would be cool to have community layout as a template or starting point. Edit - can you type with it?
It's better to have layouts for genres rather than individual games. Then change the keybinds inside of the games to match the layout.

I could see this being awesome as a glove one day.
But will the stick drift before long?
Amazon is selling them now and between the compact and the one you have, there's only a $10 difference.
Most games dont have options to use a thumbstick for movement seperately from key binding and such. So I imagine its just WASD binded on a thumbstick. Not as good but doable.
True. Another alternative could be mapping WASD to some of the actual keys on the fingers. Not the best option, but definitely doable.
I'd be interested in trying it, if it was free, but reassigning and getting used to an entirely new setup is kinda not ever Gunna happen. I can see it being extremely beneficial as a disability assist though
You got your hat back on is it cold in there. That's a weird divise I don't think I be using one of them✌️✌️✌️
I’ve never played any mnk before in my life do you think this will work well for that purpose. A regular keyboard hurts me with my joint issues.

Nice. That’s probably the one I would have chosen too
mapping keypads makes starting a new game a chore. alas im so used to them i cant game without them.
if i have no problem with keyboard at all, is it still worth to consider buying the azeron keypad? I think it's really interesting
I still think it’s a way more enjoyable way to game and I’d argue you could get better at gaming with it
I have been using a razer nostromo for a long time (12 years) and all iahve to say is the click is what is stoping me from buying this. if i could get one with quieter switches then i would get one
Does this work on an xbox only with preset key mapping?
Can u use something like this on an xbox series x?
I game on Controller due to being on console and plan on switching to PC. I do prefer mouse aiming over controller aiming personally but I hate using a keyboard. I shall try this at some point
Literally same boat as you, all my friends have slowly migrated to PC from xbox which forced me to buy a PC to keep up, and my hands have never felt more awkward trying to use WASD, I don’t see how I can play in competitive games while my left hand is throwing up gang signs tryna work all my controls.
This or Razer Tartarus? My 5 year old tartarus is starting to show its age. I'm either going to buy another or try something different like the Cyborg. I'm just on the fence about it.

Biggest complaint and most common issue with this product is that is is 3D printed and will break (I am speaking from experience). Azeron has done a fairly good job in burying bad press in regards to this issue but the fact that it is not mentioned in this video should inform you in regards to the QC and honesty in this review. It is a great product that will fail due to it being printed and not manufactured properly. For 200$ I expected more.
