We got comfortable and were just looking to see out a 2-1 win. That's why we lost. Hope the boys learn from games like these so that we can lift the Premier League title. YNWA!
I absolutely love Liverpool FC, and will support the team no matter what. But I hate phrases like "Hope the boys learn from games like these" so much. What do the boys need to learn here, exactly, to not give away free balls to the opponent? Because we conceded 3 goals this way. If this is what they still need to learn, then it is very sad. The only one who needs to learn here something is Jürgen: to not break a formation that is strong in pressing (aka not subbing off Szobo, Robbo and Mo) with 20 minutes still to play and only 1 goal ahead.

@@arique5962 If this was the case, then 1) why did we play with our most important players versus Sparta Praha 2nd leg (all of our 1st squad played either as starters or as subs, with the esception of Macca), and 2) if we don't want to risk injuries in the FA Cup because we want to concentrate on EPL then why did the entire 1st squad play so much (min. 70 mins) in this match?
No, the game could and should have been totally killed relatively early on, but neither Robbo or Gomez seem to ever care to spend at least a couple of hours on the pitch to program their bodies not to blow the ball over the crossbar every time they have a splendid opportunity to score. It's not that hard to get over the ball put it low, but still playing for one of the best clubs in the world, they just don't get it. Yet, the biggest waste was Salah.Yes, he scored again, being in the right place for a tap in that he almost missed, but the rest of the game he made poor choices and spoiled a number of opportunities when Liverpool were in absolute control.

Klopp got his substitution very very wrong. You remove the three of Liverpool game changers in Salah, sobo, and robo. Why on earth is Gomez on that pitch. He lacks composure on the ball, and tend to give wayward passes that puts his teammates under pressure.

@@Anvar2308Salah was sloppy today, Szobo was always threatening though, I think he played well. Still, both of them should have stayed at least a little longer. Gomez is average on his better days but he was walked over in defense on either side, getting us in trouble all the time. I'm baffled by him staying on the pitch for a 100 minutes.

The subs were OBVIOUSLY dictated by player fitness after returns from injury. Mo, Szobo and Robbo are not up to their full levels yet, they would not play 90 minutes. The medical team will have dictated their playing time to a large degree. Maybe use your brain.

Giving Salah 90mins against Prague when we were 5-1 up on agg and then 75 mins today, not sure I understand the mentality behind that.. Anyways, we move onto the Prem n Europe. We NEED to walk away with 3pts against them on April 7th.
Manchester United played very well today. On the other hand, Liverpool's performance was disappointing, and Manchester United deserved to beat Liverpool. But we still have the UEFA and EPL left.

As soon as Szoboszlai left the pitch Liverpool lost the control of the match! His importance for the team is not recognised yet! He knits things together, dictate and controls the tempo of the game. After he came off the game got chaotic and MU revived.
He's not up to full fitness yet since coming back from his injury, he was looking tired. Klopp doesn't want to risk any more injuries. As for Szobo's importance to the team. I think Klopp knows what he's doing! Have some faith. If you should have learned anything from this season it's that one player does not make our team. We won many matches without Mo, without Szobo, etc. It's not because of one player that we lost this match.

Still returning from injury playing extra time versus the other fronts we are fighting on with all the injuries we still have… have to balance a semi final v’s premier league and europa league..it’s a difficult call theses guys are giving literally everything every week at the moment..any other teams with these injuries would not have got the results we have since January so huge kudos to our team and manager🙌👏👏👏👏
Because they are still not up to full fitness yet after coming back from long spells out with injury. The medical team will have told Klopp how long they recommend those players spend on the pitch. Klopp always makes substitutions around the 70 minute mark. He will have known before the game that Mo and Szobo would be coming off after 70 mins. He obviously hoped we'd be in control of the game by then and we really should've been. They both looked tired at that point anyway.

We got complacent, almost arrogant. Salah and Szobo should not have come off until the 90th minute. This was a huge chance chucked away to get to another semi final. In the upcoming league match at this stadium, we need to keep our big players in the game until it's over.
They had to come off because of the medical team's advice. Mo, Szobo and Robbo are not fully fit yet after returning from injury and cannot play 90 mins. Overusing them would only risk more injury and if any of them had been left on the pitch and got injured you would blame Klopp for that too. If you really do support Liverpool you should already understand such things, it's so f*cking obvious. Mo and Szobo were looking tired anyway.

Man, that game was a total mess, and it wasn't just Gakpo who messed up. We went silent around the 75th minute. Nunez and Eliot, they were off their game too. Yeah, Salah was on fire, but Eliot's mistake in that area was a real downer. He saved us and then blew it. But honestly, Bradley's gotta take the heat for that poor defending. As the last line, he completely whiffed it by not even trying to tackle. He should've taken one for the team and stopped Dialot before he got near the box. And those substitutions from Klopp? They were just plain terrible. Let's hope we step up our game next time. YNWA.

They had to be subbed for medical reasons. They are still not fully yet after returning from injury. The medical team would have determined the minutes they should play before the match.

Bringing Gakpo on in a game like that is like losing a player, he's not good enough for high intensity. Kelleher should feel disappointed with 2 of the goals. Nunez had a ery bad game and gave a goal away. Wasn't good enough at all, hope the players use this feeling to fire themselves up for the rest of the season.

Subbing off salah was right... kept losing the ball and had over five crucial chances to get his final pass right and he didn’t which keeps causing a counterattack at the other end
For those who are trying to make sense of Salah's substitution, it's probably to let him rest and break his fast. I really wish Salah stayed on though.
I think it would be more reasonable for the match to return to Praha for the young players to play and keep the first team players healthy.

Could see it coming before the game. As soon as we had our proper first team back, there’s a sense of it’s already been won. That and the fact Cody Gapko could have passed the ball to 5 people who would have made it 3-1, but instead he tried to jog it in.
How did we give absolutely everything? We got complacent and it costed us the game. It was a shocking display and the whole team should be totally ashamed of themselves. Unacceptable performance.
