Flagrant is a comedy show that delivers unfiltered, unapologetic, and unruly hot takes directly to your dome piece. In an era dictated by political correctness, hosts Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, along with AlexxMedia and Mark Gagnon, could care less about sensitivities. If it’s funny and flagrant it flies. If you are sensitive this podcast is not for you. But if you miss the days of comedians actually being funny instead of preaching to a choir then welcome to The Flagrancy.

Army veteran from Schofield barracks here... I'm Mexican and when I was in waianae I found that my skin color helped me a lot. My white army friends had conflicts in waianae but I didn't.
Yeah, from the 60’s to the 90’s, a lot of hate for white folk. Things wasn’t as bad come the 2000’s, but now things are a bit more chill. We now have a general hate towards Micros and anyone from the mainlands.
I've always said mexicans and hawaiians are cousins through our warrior spirit.
My dad was army, so I lived in Schofield. Hale Kula Elementary was not a good time.
it wasn’t the skin color. it’s the attitude and not being humble that got the white guys problems
You get problems when you create them.
Moved to Hawaii on a whim and ended up in Waianae and it was the best 4 years of my life. Met Max at the L&L Drive-in! The best beaches are there on the West Side! The people are great and never once felt in danger or scared. It's a fantastic place that is the only authentic place left on Oahu.
🤫
Nice
@@prokodza I grew up on Oahu, I’m haole, never had issues on the west side. If you’re respectful, you’re good.
It’s not the only authentic place on Oahu but it’s nice when you live with respect and give respect. Hawaii is all about respect. We’ve got bad apples too, no place is free from idiots but for the most part it’s chill.
Wai’anae is the only place on Oahu where if your car break down somebody will stop and offer help.
Grew up in Hawaii. Fought a lot. It was fun. You fight, beef is settled and its over. You get respect.

Max is a hero in the whole west side of Oahu. When ever he fights, win or lose, fireworks go off. More times than not he wins. You wouldn’t even know that aerial fireworks are illegal in Hawaii. 💥🤙🏽
Lucky he usually wins.

I was stationed in Hawaii and loved that side of the island. Love the people there you get what you are looking for.
The Waianae Army beach was awesome. Loved it there. Use to be able to rent cabins there.
People just need to understand. You smile at someone, they will smile back or atleast not make trouble to you and mind their own business. You look at a person with angry attitude, people can feel that energy and it comes right back to you. Life is really all about what you put out. Thats what you will get in return.
thats no gaurantee you wont get your ass beat in life.
I’m from Waianae and the way Max explained how it is in Waianae is for sure how it is 💯 you either get a shirt or beat up 😂👏🏽
Fighting over POGS and Junken Po LOL love it
The Iolani reference just shows how much research on material Andrew does. Only people from Hawaii know that shit lol.
Yup, that caught my attention. I think Andrew really talks to people to find what's going on in different areas.
West Side !!! Waianae = Nanakuli, Makaha; the Maili (area): it is pronounced "Miley," as in Miley Cyrus; Yok's (Yokohama area)/Kaena Point (Dillingham Air Field area; separated by a gated black walkway; towards the North Shore; you can either see sea lions or monk seals in that spot).. In Waianae, there is a homeless community located next to a fishing pier. Waianae High School (a legendary comic, Andy Bumatai's alma mater). Far away from Aulani Resort (Disney), there is a small train track, towards the "Electric Beach" spot (it was nicknamed "tracks"). Junken Po (Ai Kono Sho) = "Rock, Paper, Scissors.."
When I first moved to Hawaii I WOOFED on the West side. Everyone was super friendly if you're friendly. Surf Makaha and Mai'ile point all the time. Give respect get respect.
Max is ‘mixed’. He’s Mixed Martial Arts. 100% BMF! (Blessed Man Forever)
I was stationed in Kaneohe from 89 to 93 and loved every minute of it. I never got into any altercations with the locals in or out of the water. I have nothing but respect for them and wish I could go back to their paradise. Aloha !!

so, about the main private schools: iolani: local asian families who live on the southern part of the island punahou: good mix of locals but also a lot of white kids (children of transplants and retirees) and/or kids who couldn't get into kamehameha (see below) midpac: locals who live near punahou but whose parents don't want them associated with punahou or can't afford it kamehameha: hawaiians (school's application policy is to give preference to children of hawaiian descent) with higher academic standards damian: formerly an all male school st. louis: all-male school, known mostly for being a football powerhouse AND THAT'S IT

I spent my first 6 months in Hawaii in Wai'anae. It's the most Hawaiian part of Hawaii.
Growing up on Oahu, never had issues on the west side even being haole because you show respect, you get respect. But definitely lots of scraps in general and it’s a place where you mind your manners and manners are enforced. I’m still that way and being on the mainland now, it catches people off guard. They’re used to lipping and giving stink eye and being rude here with no consequence… they turtle up real quick.

Brah growing up in Hawaii being white is rough you’ll learn to use your hands really quick , speaking from experience!
My best friend growing up was my brother from another mother who transplanted from San Bernardino. We fought all the time as teenagers and he became a beast from defending himself from fighting all us Hawaiians lol. Most loyal kanaka E! Rest in peace palala!
@@goukhanakulGrowing up in San Bernardino you have to know how to fight so he had a good base already prior to moving lol RIP to your brother 🙏 💐
regarding the hospitality/fighting dichotomy, there are two ways to explain it: 1) it's a remnant of ancient culture in which aloha (fundamental goodwill toward all people and things) coexisted with a society made of warriors 2) hawaii is small. you see the same welcoming spirit in rural folk. it's easier to be nice to people when there are fewer of them. but at the same time, there's a lot of mingling and poverty here and that environment breeds tension. i grew up poor and fighting was one of the pastimes because we couldn't afford to have anything or go anywhere. but i also grew up around a lot of outsiders (particularly military kids) so i HAD to learn how to fight. being able to rely on your hands was always crucial for both boys and girls.
I lived waianae couple years, fight the whole street, then come back home from grandmas in Whitmore village, and all those kids i fought were crashed out in my living room and bedroom 😂😂😂😂. Unreal brahh.
Shout out Wai'anae and Aykron
Damn haven't heard anybody mention or even know what pogs was . Awsome . I remember those days . Had a big tube full of pogs with 1 slammer .
My son goes to school in downtown Honolulu and fighting isn't so uncommon there either. He says that Hawaiians are usually fine but Micronesians tend to be thugs.

Equality from the start...
Being from Hawaii, the whole private school/public school thing is straight truth. Private school scrubs never venture out to the west side to fight. Those rich snobs knew what's good for them and stayed away
When I lived there I was tearing up the locals...😂 truth is I was kind of a local

wai'anae does not rock with tourists. i can tell u that now
Not true. If you give respect you get it back in return.
The lady i bought my house off of moved to Hawaii. She was a pos with money. I def feel for the locals who have to deal with the entitled haoles.
Island pride is a real thing. Beef is settled with hands and then it’s over.
It’s hella stupid though to settle beef with your hands. You risk going to jail and having a criminal record. Most of the “beef” is over really stupid shit anyway. Settle it with words or don’t fight at all. There’s too much tough guy acting in Hawaii. It is better than using weapons or guns but this shit is not something to be proud of.

Go home, Haole!
At the end of the day, it’s the end of the day
As a Haole living in Hawai'i for the last 14 years, local Hawaiian wife and kids, seeing the host make fun of the historical traumas the U.S. brought onto Hawai'i made me upset. Anyone watching this video, please do not get the idea that joking like that with locals will be tolerated.
We brought the meth too! Bro c’mon
Why would you go to any small tight knit community and give people attitude? I grew up in a town with 2000 people in it and everybody didn’t get along but that shit wouldn’t matter when it came to outsiders messing with locals. Everyone stuck together.
I think some people don’t mean to give attitude but they aren’t socially aware enough to realize they’re coming off that way. I’ve met people from NYC for example who are used to being more abrupt, rushed and closed off in their social interactions. I think that’s just how it is in a big city and it’s not necessarily rude, but in Hawaii we are warm and friendly to everyone, you’d treat the cashier at the grocery store with the same warmth as your family member, lots of eye contact and smiles, and when you don’t reciprocate the warmth with your words and body language it comes off as standoffish.
Keep Hawai’i Hawaiian
Kamehameha used all of the white mans tools to conquer hawaii. Shortly after going aboard Capt James Cook ship The Discovery in the year 1802 he used firearms. Not hard to imagine canoes and hand to hand combat wasnt effective against guns and modern boats
Visitors need to be respectful of the aina, culture and people. Do research and understand the true history of Hawai’i first
Why these guys interviewing max annoying
Everyone in Hawai'i knows how to fight. I remember we used to have beefs settled at the park with everyone even the elders there. Everyone has some training or knows a guy with training who gave them tips. Also I went to the rich kid public school on Oahu...Kaiser. Basically too stupid to get into Punaho 😂
Kalihi
Hoa bra 🤙🏾
We scrap cuz all the talking is boring. Being born and raised in Puna on Big Island Hawai’i I only scrapped a few times growing up mostly in defense of people who needed help. When I moved to Vegas for a year I scrapped so many times I can’t remember how many times. Donkey haole’s run their mouth and don’t expect consequence but that’s not how we’re raised. We love to da max and fight to da death
Is it me or did the black dude talk more when he was like a producer for the show… Now he’s just quiet
he prolly didnt know much about Max. Just like the Nelk boys didnt know much about Andrew. 😂
Max clearly has white admixture. He's not pure-blooded Hawaiian. There are probably little to no pure-blooded Hawaiians left.
I mixed Hawaiian. You're right. My grandma was 97% and she said they don't come more Hawaiian then her lol😂
i know he’s half samoan as well
a lot of Hawaiians now a days are mixed with white or asian or both but blood quantum doesn't matter in the community, as long as you have the blood.
Max Holloway clearly has Portuguese blood. Lot of Portuguese moved there back in the 18th century. They came to work on sugarcane plantations. They’re the reason we have the ukulele.
He’s Samoan and Hawaiian.
