In the quarter-finals of the Porshe Tennis Grand Prix which is also known as the Stuttgart Open Iga Swiatek beat Emma in straight sets. After the loss, Emma received a lot of praise from the fans on social media. Swiatek is only a year older than Raducano, and some have compared her memorable French Open victory in 2020 to the British teenager's historic victory at the US Open last year. However, Raducano has dismissed any kind of comparison between her and Iga. She claimed that the polish tennis star was already a professional tennis player when she claimed her first major title on the WTA tour. While speaking to Eurosport, Raducano was asked what does she think about her maiden slam victory was the mirror of that of Swiatek’s. on this question, she responded, “No, I don't think so. Iga [Swiatek] had been on the tour for a lot longer, whether it was the WTA tour or the ITF tour, and she had a lot more match experience. I'd never really played in competitions because I was in exam halls until last summer. "This is my first full year of playing tournaments in consecutive weeks, so it's all a learning curve for me.” Raducano also thinks that she and Iga both are young and hope that they will be playing in future against each other.

  • An excellent video about 1GA from players' perspectives. 1GA has an admirable personality off court and on court, she is an aggressive tiger ready to devour her opponents. At just 21, she already accomplished many impossible feats in the sport of tennis. Who knows where these stellar performances will bring her in the next 5 years when she is continuing to evolve and has so much room for improvements especially on grass? She will soon learn to adapt to that surface and when she does, look out!

  • Iga is just in a class all by herself, period. She loses only if she wants to. As far as Raducanu she was a professional also when she claimed her first Slam. One thing for sure, she has a long way to go before she reaches Iga's playing level. And Iga is only one year older than she with two slams under her belt and has already broken a couple of records. Iga was also in school physically, while on tour. Both Raducanu and Kontaveit sound like sour grapes.

  • I have a question for Pliskova. Is there something wrong with playing it safe? Because from what I can tell, Swiatek plays both safe AND aggressive simultaneously. A dream combination that has helped Rafa and Djokovic especially. Is she going to just knock on players who play it safe? As for Raducanu, I can see that argument somewhat. One year can be a lot if you use it wisely. But still. From what I can tell, Raducanu has a long road ahead of her. Does she use this year of downs to propel herself up?

Yes, Emma won the USO but has literally done nothing since. And the others...........not even close.

I was just thinking that ALL of these Professional Womans Tennis player have been beating the heck out of competitors since HS and the Juniors thus their current status and losing probably doesn't sit well w most of them. There's an old saying that goes Men are mean to each other but don't mean it and Women are nice to each other but don't mean it. Just different creatures from one another. Hope that didn't come off as sexist but what doesn't these days? ( ;; 1GA is the Cats Pajamas these day's and EVERYONE just better get used to it. Was that out loud? ( ;;

  • I hope Iga Swiatek is really not on steroids or anything because only Serena Williams could play like her. Until now it’s questionable if Serena & Venus were really clean or not. Amazing how Maria Sharapova who was a power hitter during her prime could only beat Serena once or twice but manages to beat many other players on the WTA tour whom I presume were not on drugs. Remember Simone Haley who was so good herself only to discover that she was illegally taking drugs herself by the a tennis Association. How many times have they tested Iga?

    • @@RallyRackets Well I figure you have to, at the very least, win a Grand Slam to be considered a legend of the sport, and even that's a low bench mark. I'd say Osaka is the only certain legend in the video, though Raducanu and Jabeur may surprise and end up with stellar careers. But, to be completely honest, when I think of legends I think of players who have already retired and have nothing left to achieve. So, the likes of Navratilova, Graf, Seles, Henin are all legends of the sport. This is just my opinion, but I think the term "legend" should be reserved for those whose career is complete.
