    • @@mayaisweird I think it makes sense. To forgive means that the actions of that person doesn't affect you anymore. At this point in his life, Glam has his own family and all the things his father has done doesn't define Glam, that's why, even when he knows it was horrible, he has forgiven

    • @@gegnabean Dee and Glam are my favorites in the series, as I find them relatable, Dee is very much like me, and I imagine Glam as me, when I become a adult, I am 18 right now. Of course I love Heavy and Vicky too, they are hilarious and fun characters to watch. I had a past similar to Glam's, But I keep a smile like Glam does, and I love my family no matter what my past was like, and also Dee's reason to learn a talent so he doesn't feel so 'talentless' as Heavy learned the guitar so quickly, I know Glam has his methods to parent his children, and I respect that, sometimes we need to be straight forward to inspire our kids to try harder, Dee left the lesson, as he thought his dad was talking down on him, but he still continued practicing, even when Heavy was talking to his friends, untill he finally gave up when Heavy was bragging about himself, he gave up and told the mysterious girl that he didn't know how to play the guitar.

    • @@gegnabean My father was emotionally and sometimes physically abusing me, since he wanted me to join the orchestra, since I was average at the cello, but I would make mistakes when practicing, he would whip me with his belt, He told me if I didn't improve I would never succeed as a orchestra player..One day I left my dad, leaving my other family behind, as my dad manipulated them to be on his side, as I came back to my mom's family, I became more inspired to do what I wanted..to be a KZheadr, and I drew pictures, a hobby I wanted, and ever since I have flashbacks..but I am happy where I am now, I don't need my father, all he brought me was pain..My dad wouldn't congratulate when I played, just said: "You'll never be as great as Arthur Russell, playing off key like that!" All I wanted was some recognition from him, or at least some love from him..But I never seemed to impress him. I still practiced, but I was always making minor mistakes along the way..earning whippings. My mom left my dad when she found out he harmed me, as she was the only adult on my side, as we both left. I am not happy about my past, but I know that my future now will become better away from my father. My father isolated me from outside the house, not wanted friends to distract me..He said they would only be hendrices..But I would sometimes sneak out to hang out with my friend, we went to like the park, since it was not that far, as we were happy, as she helped me learn to draw, She accepted my dreams, untill my dad found out I snuck out at night, as I left on a bus to live with my mom's family, as my mom followed me, as My dad was left alone. He disowned me as a daughter, as I never looked back. So, you can say Sebastian's story is very similar to mine..I am not making any of this up.

  • I love how Vicky reacts to being asked about her past as "are you stalking me?" but with Glam he simply answers. It's like he doesn't care that you know or he is aware. Or maybe it might just be his calm attitude telling him not to show concern.

  • Ough the way Glam's response to questions relating to trauma and the effects is so well done in my opinion A lot of people are saying Glam has gotten over the trauma, but I don't think that's what's actually being portrayed here The video shows more obvious signs of Glam suppressing the memory's of his childhood or mis-remembering them, something very real that happens with such traumatic events. For instance, Glam wants his old diary back because he's forgotten what he wrote in it, it could be assumed he's simply forgotten due to time but I think this links into him pushing down the bad moments of his childhood, when asked about Lydia, he sites him having a "cut" on his hand. Of course, I could be reading into this too much, but I have a feeling Glam is misremembering/ downplaying the marks left from his dad slapping his hand/wrist with the ruler, which is why he only refers to it as a "cut," we can also notice it's the same hand that was hit, possibly implying this. Also not featured in the video, but one of the episodes, when Glam gets the box it appears he doesn't care about it, rather than be reluctant to open, as if he was he would have pushed back more against Vicky's request to open it. It's only when he DOES open it that we see a sudden realization, Glam is SHOT back into all the memory's he's suppressed, which is why he immediately gains a frown. If Glam already knew what was inside the box before opening it, he would already have thrown it out, or gained that frown, but it appears he doesn't until it's opened. Another thing, I love how the effects of Glam's childhood are portrayed very obviously in the series and in this episode. Not only does he have the obsessive tendency to schedule everything he does, a perfectionist or OCD quality from living his entire life having to follow a routine, but he actively stays away from anything he was forced to do as a kid, such as the violin comment with "We never got to recording the violin," or avoiding alcohol, something his father actively indulged in. And it's clear he's forgotten most of what happened in his childhood, as those who would remember would never repeat the actions of their parents. It's clear Glam has a bit of a controlling nature, much like his father did, as he gets angry when disturbed during work, has strict rules like no pets, even searching D's room to make sure there's none, playing literal mind games with D in order to see if he bypassed the restrictions on internet access, ect. From what we've see so far he doesn't have violent outbursts or punishments for these, but we can see he has a bit of a threatening demeanor to him when he suspects these rules have been broken. We also get to see Glam picked up some of the verbal violence from his dad in his teaching when trying to teach D the guitar, as he bursts out yelling at D when he can't get the note to sound clear. The way Glam's behavior is portrayed is, in my opinion, very well done as it shows a somewhat realistic outcome of the treatment he got.

    • Two things to mention. In the case of Lydia and the cut of Glam's wrist, there is a drawing of Alina where a smaller Glam is seen with a doll with a lot of blood and in that same drawing is Lydia where she tells him not to make a noise because their father he is going to find out that he is crying, it is not known if this injury was due to an accident that Glam had or was an injury that Gustav caused her with the rule (in fact, I would not be surprised if he hit her in that area because it is the area where Glam got injured by accident). And in alcohol, well Glam knows that he can't drink because he remains unconscious for a long time (or days) and vomits.

    • completely agree. i really want to see an arc of glam regaining his previous self and incorporating it into the new. i actually really dont like "smiling glam" as i call it. hes repressed the pain and has unconsciously mimicked abusive behavior. id like to see the good aspects of smiling glam merge with previous glam

  • Just a few random details I noticed: -He has forgiven his Father but never talked to him after that night -He never actually answered if Dee was adopted or not -Glam doesn’t believe his family cares about his past and confirms they don’t know anything about his upbringing (except for the fact that Vicky knows his father was rich and Lydia isn’t the nicest to him) -He has been with people before Vicky but looks uncomfortable about saying it -When he mentions him imitating his Father with Lydia he holds the wrist his Father used to hit and stares at hit, looking sad -he has ‘Neutral’ feelings on feminism and doesn’t appear to care if one of his sons came out as gay

In the ep. 10 we see that Glam, when he picks up the ruler has no bad intentions, so Glam don't want to harm his family, he just wants them to stop.   • Hoy es un día épico. El día que conocemos más a Glam. Me da emoción cada vez que dice Vicky o Victoria y cuando habla de lo que le gusta de ella...aaaaw. Me doy cuenta que Victoria y Heavy responden a plena luz y siendo muy expresivos. En cambio Glam y Dee lo hacen en un escenario más oscuro, siendo a veces sarcástico y evasivos con algunas respuestas.

  • His voice is absolutely like honey and I LOVE it. I love the dynamic between Viktoria and Glam. It’s a very healthy relationship and I’m really glad Glam was able to find happiness after all of the trauma. Genuinely, he deserved better. His father was an absolute monster.

Yo interpreto que ella en realidad lo que tiene es rencor hacia Glam porque él escapó y la dejó sola allí soportando a su padre y probablemente los abusos físicos recayeron sobre ella. Es horrible pensarlo así, pero cuadra más que haya estado tan interesada en que Glam no reciba nada de herencia; incluso más que en que ella sea quien la reciba; como si Glam no se mereciera nada porque se ahorró el dolor al huir.

    • Honestly, I had seen it more as, "Oh, shit. This man is repressing his childhood memories. It's a code yellow for trauma responses!" Something about the quick "Yes" to the forgiving question, and the quick "No" to the visiting question. Along with anything relating to it, such as the violin, Lydia, him leaving his house, etc. It all just points to the memory suppression and distortion direction of trauma responses, to me.
