Heat had so much potential, if they added events and new cars and had the support unbound has, I think it could be the best modern nfs in a while

Unbound should add more old version of cars for example 2005 version of Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang GT, Dodge Viper and C4 Corvette, First Gen Gallardo and so on there are really too many to list them all

2 things I really want to happen. 1. Being able to unlock special parts for cars. So proper rear wings, bumpers, wheels etc. similar to when you’d do head to head challenges in Underground 2. 2. PVPs should contribute to your cars being unlocked. I didn’t even realise it didn’t. But that would stop people starting invites in track.
PvP does count for car unlocks. Yesterday was A+, used a Porsche to finish each playlist and finally got my hands on the Porsche RSR (Finish 30 A+ playlists in a Porsche)
I like how the cars were added in Payback, u had to find it in the map and survive the cops. Derelicts were also really nice and searching for the parts through hints made u explore the map. And the Black Market updates were also decent in Heat, u had to unlock the parts by actually doing something
Also bait crates and roaming racers were actually awesome. I liked Heat giving you unique stickers for completing all activities in an area. Plus 2015s system of unique parts being hidden in trucks around the map was an actual meaningful collectible, not like "smash 100 bear statues and some rando will give you a BMW M4 GTS, for some reason". There are so many things in other games that were done _right_ and then abandoned for no clear reason in favour of worse versions of the same thing.

Be sure to win all the cars you can in single player, those cars you win carry over to multiplayer and will set you up for multiple tiers until you get more money to build better stuff

Freeroam needs single care events happening in the world like 2015/Heat. Playlists are now separate and should be completely separate. That way freeroam you can do a race, join a linkup, hit the garage, repeat.
I would like freeroam races were more like the online racing in heat. Like i can race against my friend and it fills out with ai. I just want pvpve races and not just a pvp race against only my single friend
When I can create a party and choose the playlist, then I won't be in Freeroam.
i started playing unbound online 3 weeks ago ... and hell boy im so in the grinde (lvl111) because its so freaking nice to drive, race, speedlinks, "cop battles" For me its the best arcade race right now (i hope for a big handling upgrade or a new option for old handling and new handling (audi) for all cars that would be awesome) I hope there a new playlits in the future and police playlist for PVP but hey we have the Hot pursuit volume and im hyped Imagine one year ago a guy says you will complete grinde the online unbound - i was like: nice joke but this update (v6) was soooooooo big ^^ edit: there is a big problem with legendary kits ... we cant get single parts of the bodykit in unbound because the team is to smal and every single tuning option is handmade and hand design ... and legendary/special kits are 90% extrem, it looks like a new car ... thats to much for the little team i hope in a future nfs ^^

I think they should add free roam challenges where everyone has to do a speed zone speed trap or drift zone, and whoever sets the highest score in 2 min wins, then move to the next target . Also they should do delivery thing where 4 guy picks up a paxkage and eveyone has to to chase them and take them down . Also cops should be apart of all these events. And i think we need more cars in s+

1 free and 1 premium paid speed pass, separated. Both with 75 or even 100 levels (25 total cash prize every 4 lvls, or even add more xp boosters) keep all cars free but all cosmetics for said cars premium. More cosmetics. Somthing to do after completing campaign like grand events still being active. And for the car collectors like myself, being able to buy more cars, being able to sort cars into there own category, being able to lock a car so we cannot sell them, being able to buy the custom cars after you have unlocked them and ultimately and a big ask is having a personalised garage would be amazing.

75 levels is too low. All cars (performance-wise) are free, paid versions have different kits and stuff. I don't see them charging for any primary car models, especially if they end up OP, as that would alienate many players
if they invent weekly challenges and community challenges with events i think this could revive it. A major issue with all nfs games is keeping people playing 2-3 months after the games release its almost like they release a game do some bug fixes and then move onto the next with nothing new for 2-3 years. As i said something weekly that keeps people coming back like the crew has the summit. Itd be better for the player and for there revenue.
And of course adding proper drift and drag racing types,these two gameplay elements will excites players and get them back to play the game even more so that they already do.

The Hot Pursuit update should be interesting as past Hot Pursuit games from the EA Seattle/EA Canada era (NFS III Hot Pursuit), Black Box era (Hot Pursuit 2), Criterion era (Hot Pursuit 2010), and Ghost era (NFS Rivals) allows you the option to be a cop. If so, maybe this means we can finally drive police cars again, likely in PVP and multiplayer. Also Criterion needs to update the police cars in the game as the Chargers, Explorers, Camaros, and Corvettes are all outdated now. The Ford Explorer that is in the game dates back to Most Wanted 2012 and the Dodge Charger I believe has been around since NFS Rivals.
Imagine you can change every car to a dirty tuned racer cop car and you have fun challenges to interrupt races xD could be so fun and so shitty haha
The Charger needs to be changed into the Hellcat in game or a base Charger, The explorer needs to be the 2020 explorer, and the corvette and ford raptor can stay and they should release a DLC for all the cop cars imo
They need to add this for the single-player events. Plus, more police car selections, like Vipers, Lamborghini cop cars, and Ferrari cop cars as well.
Got Unbound when it first came out, played the Story, did a little Multiplayer, had a good time! But I didn't stick with it because it was so hard to get a race with a reasonable amount of people. This update has definitely brought me back; I've already put in another 15 or so hours over the last week- and that's up from nothing within the last year or so. Now all we need is a way to replay the Story.
Just go to Documents/Need for Speed/savegame/ (I dont know the exact path but its something like this) and there will be a file named "1". Create a backup and delete the file from the savegame folder. Now your progress will be reset and you can play story from the beginning (not sure why you would want to)
about player retention, i played the game during its release, but didnt play much since. I came back, and i have been playing a lot more with the quality of life changes, but i think the biggest problem is the way cars are unlocked. i like the idea of having challenges to unlock different things, but i think those challenges are more suited for cosmetics, and not unlocking things that are so fundamental to the game. its just weird being able to buy one version of a huracan for example but having to play for hours to unlock a slightly different version of it... they should just gradually unlock cars as you level up i think. If they could make it like NFS World i think that would be great. i feel like that game was really good at balancing everything out and making players stay. (speaking of which, it would be super cool if they managed to merge the maps from newer nfs titles into one big map like nfs world)
I enjoyed the deliveries in story mode and being an Uber for people. Even those events would be perfect for online free roam just to give people something to do while waiting for linkups.

It’s fantastic now but the grind for multiplayer unlocks is brutal😅 Guess it’s been as such since launch? I recently dove into the game after it sat unplayed for the 1st year. Cars in MP need to be unlocked via number of races NOT full playlists of specific conditions.
I get your frustration but with the new dedicated PvP mode and now daily playlist rotations it is a lot easier to complete the challenges, no more waiting around hopeing someone accepts your invite. My only gripe is not being able to adjust your build in between the playlists, we can just exit to the garage too now though so thats progress.
@@OSHSTOagreed but certain challenges require ONE class over 30 of em. Want an Sclass car upgraded ? You must be in entirely in S class races in PvP for fastest results…
Agreed. It really doesn't help when you need like 30 B playlist clears to unlock the Exige, for example, when all you get are mixed tier playlists. As is, idk how often & exactly when Tiers rotate to just purely get B tier races. I'm still short of 11 playlist clears to unlock the exige. And I've been playing for a year since Vol.1 hits, mind you. Really needs to change the unlock criteria to number or races of specific class, and not playlists off. Or, if they still insist, then maybe like halve the amount needed or something.
they need to fix accounts save files getting corrupted. it’s happened to me twice now when i’ve 100% the game. now i’ve just not even bothered and gone to online. i kept some of my stuff but i have to unlock everything else
Same, but so far after vol 5, i had no issues with crashes and savefiles, so mb fixed? At least for me

Add a most wanted bounty mode while in free roam. For example every 10 or 20 minutes someone randomly gets chosen to have a bounty and everyone else has to chase and destroy. ❤

They should keep meetups in the freeroam and just add the option to ignore every invite while freeroaming.

"Monetizing the game is kind of important to keep it going long term". They monetized the game when they sold it to you. We need to stop accepting games that are not finished/not good when they ship, and stop paying for things we should have gotten to begin with. I want more Need For Speed. But I want them to ship complete games, like they did when they sold us Porsche Unleashed and Underground 1 and 2.
The best thing they could add to online free roam is online group challenges like Burnout Paradise did. I need something to do while waiting for the next linkup…besides starting cop chases

It is too much of a grind to unlock all the cars online, so if that doesn't change I'm just not playing lol, but I am happy to see the game headed in the right direction and that they're actively listening to the community & trying to improve

I wish they can add side stories or quest that would have good dialogue and little cut scenes that can give it connection. But the side stories can be completely different from the original story that the game released with. I would like that in my opinion.
I’ve just finished unbound’s single player and it was…. Aiight lol but I just hopped online for the first time and man I’m having a ton of fun. It’s great!
I’m my opinion it would be good if they added a option for us to have convoys like fh5. We can set waypoints around the map to cruise in a group etc. Now that would definitely bring me back plus other in my opion 🤷🏽♂️. Playing solo in free roam get boring over time.

Unbound is great, glad to see it still alive after 2 years.
My main concern with the game is the map, its why I stopped playing a long time ago. As they are doing an Underground update, there are far to few "city" streets to drive around, the map is mostly made up of fields, it all looks very similar. Underground was predominately a city based game, even 2015 NFS captured that vibe well of underground illegal night street racing, although that was in the suburbs because you never entered the main city you can see in the distance (if memory serves me correct), either way, a less bland map, more built up cities to roam, this is something this game is sorely needs to pull me back in.
My thoughts, as someone who played all nfs games since hot pursuit and loved underground 2, most wanted and heat the most; Enabling progress of the speed pass in singleplayer is HUGE, especially for someone like me who has no interest in multiplayer. I love to grab my older cd's and games such as underground and just play for the sake of it; the speed pass just gives many more options in a game that (luckily) already has a lot of customization. Also, having offline options for the speed pass actually brings me to the brink of buying the catchup packs because they have far more value now - i never ever buy anything for an online only game because the time you have with it is limited in most cases. But offline games? Truly much saver spending option. I get that they have to monetize it and keeping certain special bodykits premium is fine in my book, I like to customize the cars in my own vision anyway. However, with that said, there are a few things I wish Unbound did differently and then it could be the most fun I have with a nfs since most wanted and underground (and nfs2015, love that one too); the tiktokker influencer vibe is not my thing (I am 28 and I hate it), espeically present with the character designs and dialogues, and more "feel" and "aliveness" of the gameworld: Having meetups is sooo cool, but why not having more people or other cars at the start of a race like in heats night races? Also, the day and night cycle doesnt feel as fleshed out as it was in heat. I miss the flare guys at the start of a race, even though we have those in the drift events: the races feel a bit disjointed from everything. i love the cops, they are enjoyable and keep me on my toe, no issues here - but damn, why not bring back the destroyable traps for cop cars from mw? Another thing that would make the game world feel more alive. I love unbound right now, I have a ton of fun in singleplayer with my steering wheel; and I hope they add new and replayable events for singleplayer enjoyers like me.
Those changes would definitely be welcome but given that they're a small team they are focused on multiplayer and any changes to story mode would prob be unlikely , so I highly recommend trying PvP out. It's a lot of fun and much more alive than playing offline by yourself.
@@DVRK316 i tried it with 3 races, one I lost, the second one had a cheater who just flew over the map and the third race I wasn't able to start because no one joined my b tier (I like b tier cars the most). Heat at least let you fill the online invites with bots if no once accepted the invites, if I remember correctly.
@@R-SXX I agree that Ai racers should be added but that’s unlikely to change in the near future. That's why they implemented dedicated PvP with volume 6-to make it easier finding full lobbies without invites.and with cheaters it’s hard to tell if it’s cheating or lag because they can often be mistaken for one another.

I'm really tempted ro get this game, is currently on sale, but i don't know, EA really disapointed me in the past and i dont know if it would be worth it. Another thing that's pushing me away is the drift phisics, but maybe with the upcoming update, guess I'll wait to see if is worth it
U know what would be crazy if they did pinks on nfs like drag races where they have classes for races so u have to upgrade your car to a class instead of maxing it out u would have to get your tuning head on lol this would be sick 😊

Im hoping for their future driving model it doesnt behave so agressively, especially when cruising. I enjoy driving leisurely, but with Unbound it feels like there's no option to.
I prefer the drift handling physics in unbound to heat. I don't really want them to change them too much beyond just some tweaks here and there.
Tbh it’s good not the best needs some work game still struggles to figure out when you want to initiate a drift….but next update Vol 7 is going to improve the drift physics.

Not going to lie. since they are adding drag racing, I really hope they add the old school challenger. I've just always wanted that in a need for speed game in general because honestly I feel like the muscle cars are lacking. In this game mainly because I feel like I am literally the only person who makes an attempt to use them. I don't mind the PVP because I can make money and XP a whole lot faster and I love racing but it really gets boring when I am seeing the same cars over and over because they are just simply the best in that class. I'm not sure if the b class event is still in right now but whenever I go in that I am only seeing the Porsche 911, testarossa, golf and Mazda.

Weekly pve is the answer.. 1 car every 3 weeks or so..or they could give us an engine as a reward or part reward in other weeks but free riam needs races so we can pick which one insteadbof random assignment . Thats motorfests issue all grand races go in a cycle and theres no other pvp

I started Unbound 2 weeks ago. My last NFS was OG Most Wanted. And hell yea Unbound is perfect, its so funny and speedy after heavy Forza. One thing i truly dont understand in Online is, why pvp playlist and free roams are separated? Why when I start playlist in free roam, no one joins? Perfect game loop for me would be go free roam > do liinkup > do random class race -> linkup -> random class race. Now its impossible, because everyone do races in pvp playlist (and its one class per day and thats boring for me), and u have to exit free roam to get to pvp playlist. WHY?

I don't think the type of rewards are really the problem, rewards don't really matter if the gameplay loop is solid and kept fresh. Like I'm still playing helldivers 2 even though I have most things unlocked. Bring more content in the forms of events, vehicle mechanics, police overhauls, memorable challenges, add replay value to what's already there.
I hope in the next nfs, we dont have to unlock cars via challenges, just make it how heat was, unlock cars via level, i think its hella dumb that u do story mode and unlock all cars to purchase but in online, i gotta re unlock em via hella grindy challenges, its really annoying

I think what they could do is every other week they release an existing car with an exclusive livery like the ones in the buy custom tab, and make it acquired through challenges. That way, it's not too much of a drain on the devs but is exciting for car collectors like me

Vol 6 has certainly changed how I play - it means I don't have to play multiplayer at all and so instead of placing stupid barriers in my way, all the cars are unlocked already. I mostly like making liveries and customising, then having police chases; that's all I really want to do and NFS is the only game that really does those things at all well - but the devs have decided that if I want that, paying for the game is not enough, I must WORK at meaningless labour for it. The Hakosuka, for example - one of my favourite cars, available basically from the start in single player, locked behind (IIRC) playing 25 playlists in a Nissan in multiplayer. AND I still need to pay for it after all that. No, screw it, I'm not doing that. I hate multiplayer, I don't want to play with other people, yet Unbound basically makes me if I'm going to afford any new cars, because endgame single player winnings are terrible. Then it gates off half the cars I already have access to behind 'challenges' just so I can do shit over and over to unlock them. I can understand single player progression being linked to the story, but 'progression' in multiplayer is and always has been total bullshit. You get better by playing more - that's it. Ranks and XP are unnecessary abstractions, especially when there's a money system in the game. Imagine if I was level 72 at making a sandwich, and only once I reached level 73 apricot jam would be unlocked and I could buy it from Tescos, and in the meantime I could make 25 sandwiches with strawberry jam to reach level 73, or 15 with peanut butter because that's the daily challenge, but I don't have any peanut butter because that's locked behind the sourdough challenge, which I never did because I hate sourdough...why can't I just enjoy the jam I want? This has always been a terrible aspect of gaming generally; I am playing to have fun and grinding and being railroaded to jump through hoops IS NOT FUN. Happily, mods exist that make the level of single player winnings less terrible, so I can enjoy what I like now that I can make progress in singleplayer.

Why people do not accept races in free roam? Its so dumb in my opinion. If u want to race WITH PEOPLE you have to exit game to enter playlist and you can do one class per day. thats a non sense xD PLaylisting in free roam is much better and no one uses it.
I wish i could actually get the audi’s but EA disabled my account without any reason and their customer service was no help in trying to fix it.
