  • I'm so happy for them ☺️ their teamwork and the way they cover the court is amazing.. really smart for them to attack and move forward towards the end of the 2nd set since the opposing team were using a lot of short angled volleys

  • Mcnally will probably be working on her crosscourt returns after this match. Talented, but very nervy player. Townsend was sensational in this match. Sad they couldn’t get the Win up at set and 4-1.

  • Townsend wagging here finger making the number one gesture several times in this match only to come in second. How do you feel Taylor a little foolish I'd say.

    • Yep, her attitude is baffling to me. I understand she thinks she was mistreated at some point, but she clearly has a particular attitude so I'd like to eventually hear both sides of the story.

  • Hallelu! No Mary Carillo, Lindsay Davenport and Pam Shriver commentating on this match. Thank the tennis gods as this was an excellent Women's doubles match! Please US Open Tennis Championships, please utilize more commentating like this!!! The commentating was excellent. Why? Neutral. And no over the top cheering from the commentating which can get annoying. The commentating was excellent, superb!! Wished the Women's singles final was commentated by these commentators as opposed to Mary Carillo, and Lindsay Davenport. At least no more Pam Shriver. Carillo, Davenport and Shriver are way too biased, too gossipy, and too obvious commentating, e.g. it hit the line, oh really?! Mary Carillo lost her way in commentating Women's matches.

    @michaellee888@michaellee888 Жыл бұрын
    • Yeah, most of the time the American commentary teams are way too biased for the American player, or their favorite for the match. The way they talk about Coco Gauff, you would think she has already won 15 grand slams and dominates every match...

    • @@fundhund62 Not when they get petty and criticize up the ying yang about a player's personality, behavior, etc. People are humans. And humans are NOT perfect. People make mistakes. Anyone can. And what they may regard as inappropriate may not be that severe to other people. It's gossiping. And from what I have witnessed so far, that ONLY occurs mostly from Women's tennis matches. I rarely if at all hear any gossipping for Men's tennis matches. If anything for Men's tennis, it goes away. Not Women's tennis. Gossipping lingers! That NEEDS to STOP immediately for Women's tennis! For the sake of mental health for all players, gossipping needs to STOP. Gossipping can be very harmful and it is poison to young players. Men and Women. Women; especially, since it happens more often than not during Women's events. And with the AGE restrictions from Women's tennis, we will NEVER see a 16 year old or 17 year old champion EVER again. Like never! Ever! And that's bad because for many women their biggest athletic peak is from 15 to 17 to 18 years old. You don't see a 35 year old women's ice skater to win a freaking Olympic Gold Medal in the singles event, do you?! Or, a 50 year old who just won an Olympic Gold Medal for Women's Ice Skating in singles? Exactly!

      @michaellee888@michaellee8888 ай бұрын
    • @@fundhund62And cheering or jeering is NOT commentating. Anyone can do that! I don't need a commentator to tell me that it hit the line; especially, when there are lines people and the chair umpire to call it. Unless there is a line dispute, but this is the US Open with camera replays to settle disputed line calls. I wish the allowance is increased to 5 camera replays instead of 3.

  • Thrilled to learn Americans lost this must be a rude awakening they all looked so unprepared even William sisters utter disgrace Globally shame on US crowd no sportsman spirit they must learn from European players how humble & what sportsmanship they demonstrate even after loosing they hug their opponents that's a true champion!! You biased Americans do you get the drift?? Look at the youngest champion in the history of tennis Carlos Alcaraz the Spaniard he is shining example
