Title: Trail of the Angels 綠野仙蹤
It was composed by a father “Cho”, a musical instrument maker in ancient China to commemorate his daughter, Lian-Hua “Lotus Flower”, who was kidnapped by Chin, the son of the ambassador from another clan in the east, who became infatuated with Lian-Hua during her family's visit for trade.
Under the guise of escorting her and her family safely back to their land in the west, a few of Chin's men were ordered to secretly transport Lian-Hua back to Chin's palace.
For days her family with the help of Chin's men searched and mourned for her. For years, they continued looking.
Years passed and Lian-Hua had grown even more beautiful.
Chin tried desperately to win her love through the years to no avail. His frustration turned into bitterness and he began drinking heavily.
One night, drunk and furious, he barged into her dungeon sword drawn spewing nonsense about how he had treated her with kindness for many years in hopes of giving her a better life and making her his wife.
“You ungrateful wretch!”, Chin clamored as he threatened to strike her with his sword.
Chained to the ground, Lian-Hua slowly raised her head, her beautiful face lit by the full moon. “I was captured by you against my will, taken away from my family. You've imprisoned me like a caged bird so that I may someday love you. It is You who is a prisoner of your own fabricated love story. For as long as I’m held here, I will never love you.”
These words further enraged Chin.
“If you won’t love me, then I’ll make sure no one will ever love you”, Chin shouted moments before he slashed the right side of Lian-Hua's face and started to force himself on her.
She tried to fight him off but during the struggle that ensued, she was struck in her chest by his sword.
Lian-Hua let out her final gasp as she fell to the floor.
That same night, Lian-Hua's mother, Mei, awoke from a dream where she felt her daughter was near calling to her. Mei rose and went outside looking around calling her daughter's name.
“Lian-Hua Lian-Hua! Where are you? I'm here my precious girl.” The old woman wept as she fell exhausted to her knees. She looked up to the heavens and prayed to the gods.
To her surprise, she spotted a shooting star leaving a slowly dissipating glimmering trail across the sky from the east to the west.
In old China, this is known as “a trail of angels”.
Mei knew her daughter had finally returned to her that night but was now in the spiritual realm.
Upon telling her husband this, Cho picked up a flute and played this very song in memory of their forever blossoming lotus flower, Lian-Hua.
So calming! Even 6 years later from watching! Bravo!
Thanx for the support.

Que buena música
This reminds me of kung-fu panda after all😭
Yeah even tho it wasn’t the song played in the animation. I played the actually song in another video.
Youu did very wel! I do appreciate it and this video will absolutely help me doing meditation and focus kind of stuff!!!!
is there anywhere i can find sheet music? it would be much appreciated!
Not likely because this song was originally arranged for the Chinese xiao, not a Japanese Shakuhachi. Anyway if you can sing the tune, then you can figure it out on any woodwind instrument, which is what I did.
Is this copyright free?
It’s definitely copyrighted. It’s a famous song.
