There is now a 100% Electric Hummer EV. And it looks fantastic. GM is calling this a Super Truck for good reason. Reservations are HERE: www.gmc.com/HummerEV The Hummer EV has over 1000 horse power and 11,500 pound ft of torque. PLUS a 0-60 time of 3 seconds. Numbers big enough to make any gas powered pickup truck weak in the knees. (Or at least weak in the half shafts.) Lets do a walk around and see what the new Hummer EV has to offer. Huge thanks for GM for letting me get an early look at the Hummer EV. This video is not sponsored.

    • @@shaokahn1704 I completely agree, and I think this is a positive step. But even though cybertruck looks basic, its got a lot of bells and whistles(it'll come with Full self driving option, the bed has a cover that can open and close by the press of a button, there is a ramp etc), lets not forget the hard exterior body which is perfect for offroading, dont have to worry about small dents or paints chipping off. Also the starting price of a cybertruck is 40000. But I do agree that humv is a luxury suv and it does look gorgeous.

      @Mister1bigidea@Mister1bigidea3 жыл бұрын
    • I'd trust how GM makes a truck way more than Tesla. You know Tesla isn't going to deal with the suspension, half shafts, and mechanicals as well by far. The CT won't be a strong off-road competitor that can take a beating - only it's "exoskleton" but not the key parts.

  • Terrific informative videos Zack. But, as with your EV SUV video...I would have liked to have known HOW BIG are the HV SUV/trucks. Will they fit into the "standard garage" of the "typical detached home". Or is going to be parked outside all year? I think the H1 was small enough to be parked in any home garage as was the H2...the H2...I'm not 100% sure...

  • Pro Tip, The front shackles are not for Rotary Wing Lift, They are for Rail Head Operations (Train Tie Downs). The Hood hooks on the military version were exposed through the hood for the Rotary Wing and the rear Shackles allowed the chains to go through the back lift gate to the rear shackles. Nice Video though. (Ex Army Air Assault and Rappel Master Instructor).

    • My profile pic is actually me lifting an 1114 aka Up Armored Hummv. The hood points and the rear shackles are where you lift a Hummv. If you try to use the front Shackles the fiber glass hood would crack as the angles of any chains or lifting straps would put the weight of the vehicle onto a fiber glass hood. So yeah the only smart way to lift a Hummv is by using the hard points exposed through the hood. I was a Bradley mechanic for 15 yrs. But while Bradley's were my MOS. I worked on everything my unit had same as I did a Bradley. I was also lucky to be a recovery operator for 90% of my career. So I know about lifting and towing military vehicles.

  • How will that roof hold up to harsh winter temperatures? While I'm pretty sure the glass panels themselves insulate well enough, my concern is more on the joints and the seams between the panels and the rest of the roof. Looks like there will be cold bridging there, and what if the panels don't seal the roof completely?
